Guest Reviews
- Liezel (9/5): -

- Olivia (10/5): Everything you want in Namibia at one place - We had a lovely get away during Easter and we couldn't have asked for a better place. Staff was incredibly friendly, we went on a scenic game drive and had wonderful treatments at the spa. -
- Carl (10/5): Thank you for a beautiful experience. - The location and beauty of Gocheganas blew me away. It's something to be experienced at least once in ones life.
- Bas (9/5): Lekkere plek! - Goed spa, good drive, good food Room was a bit smokey. Maybe it used to be a smoking room, or somebody had been smoking there.

- Thossaporn (9/5): Beautiful lodge, good food and therapist. - The facility locate not far from downtown Windhouk.
Staff is friendly. Therapist is professional. There are spiders and ants come to our restroom for water. But please dont use pestiside to kill them. Let them live with us.
- elisabeth (10/5): Eine traumhafte lodge. - Alles Nichts
- Stuurmann (6/5): Ok - There was no room snacks and no tv.
- Paolo (10/5): To do again and again ... - Not my first time there and surely not my last time. Lovely settings, great staff, spa setting and services above average. N/A
- Joos (10/5): - Very nice lodge at a very beautiful location. One of my favourite landscape in Namibia.
Stunning rooms with a beautiful view. Indoor heated pool and outdoor pool.
- christopher (10/5): - Tout etait parfait.
- blessing (10/5): Breathless, worth every cent - Exclusive nature plus cleanliness Aircon wasn’t warn enough on first cold day. Luckily Namibia generally warm and hot
- Leonid (8/5): -
- Mulder (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Caroline (9/5): exceptional experience in a wonderful lodge so closed to windhoeck where nature meets luxueux stay - Boma site for the bbq was exceptional, kinsness of the people as well, so huge quantité of everything, juste à wonderful experience! have a variety of local méat like kudus or oryx could be nice for a first stay in Namibia but méat pro ides was excellent, just a suggestion
- Dionísia (10/5): Absolutely amazing - Amazona views. Lots of giraffes N/A
- Tanja (8/5): Close to airport but still comfy & stylish - About an hour away from the airport, good animal viewing with our guide Eric.
Spa area with great massage! This was our second time there. Windows were left open in bathroom and there were about 20 or more moths.
Air condition cannot be adjusted to blow up but blows right onto the (comfy!) bed.
First time around food was excellent, this time meat was cooked wrong each time ordered.
- Tanja (9/5): Great spot after arriving to Namibia - Friendliness of staff.
Spacious room, great tour with sundowner with the rhinos.
- Anton (7/5): I come back if I get the right house - Service was very good, but I didn’t get the right house I booked I wanted to be I first line to the valley ?right side from center)
- Cornelie (10/5): It was an excellent way to end our road trip! - View Fridge was not working
- Cecil (5/5): Frustrating. the staff was mostly friendly. We did not get what we booked for - The hiking. The Spa and sauna. The restaurant staff. The location. We specifically requested a double bed when making the booking. We were shown to a unit with two single beds. When I highlighted this we were then moved to another room with a double bed. This unit however did not have a flat-screen TV as outlined in the booking. I contacted the property twice whilst there vis-a-vis this and they never even bothered to respond. I also informed them that I had booked a Superior room and asked them whether the unit we were in was a superior room. Again no response.
- Elsje (9/5): Superb -
- Maike (9/5): Superb -
- Gabrielle (10/5): Absolutely magical - The professionalism and the friendliness we were greeted with. The quality and layout of the property were so well done.
- Mayke (7/5): Good -
- Bronwyn (7/5): Good - Nice overall, lovely pool and friendly staff - just expensive compared to local alternatives that offer even more for far less. Food offerings and general maintenance of rooms (furniture was falling apart, paint peeling, towels threadbare) were below the standard expected by the price. Photos advertised were clearly taken some years ago. (But that said, if you go to Namibia for the views and wildlife and general outdoors and not for the rooms you will still be happy, the lodge has a lovely property)
- Annika (1/5): do NOT GO there. Worst customer experience I have ever made. I tried to cancel my reservation two weeks in advance becau - Nothing
- Kinga (10/5): Where should I start?! Great, friendly people, delicious food, amazing location. Fantastic massage . Great place to visi - Absolutely everything! Beautiful place!
- Johnston (9/5): Superb -
- Nathanael (1/5): Bad - Beautiful scenery
- Gerbrecht (8/5): Very good -
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karim (7/5): It was good - Very nice view, good food, clean. The internet was not good, in our room we did not have access to internet the all stay. The spa could pamper better the client. Is not children friendly, there is very little for them to do.
- Janing (9/5): Great stay - Great private game reserve - fantastic staff and delicious food. Saw plenty of animals too which was fantastic. Highly recommend the spa - we both had wonderful massages :) Nothing!
- Monique (7/5): Stunning location but too expensive for value. - The view from the restaurant and the Spa! Best spa treatment. And the stunning nature on the farm. Really spectacular. Nice Safari drive on the farm. While most rooms offer stunning views from the rooms (all same price) our room that was assigned to us, had poor views and was situated on the lowest part of the hill. The lack of empathy from the manageres for our dissapointment did not help in making a memorable experience. The alternative room was slightly better but no where near the other rooms. The rest of the staff was really nice and helpful. The set menu could use alternative choice like starters and dessert. WiFi in room 7 and 8 is poor.
- Benoit (9/5): Great property - Fantastic property for a first stop after a long flight. What's is the point of having two swiming pools if they are not heated? It would be a small investment (heat pump) and it would make a huge difference...
- Hubert (5/5): Fair stay. The issues before game drive were accumulating and therfore cancelled the game drive - Breakfast was average. Breakfast was not cozy The buffet, quality and assortment
- Karen (9/5): GOCHEGANAS A Stunning Resort High Up In The Hills - The location was stunning, albeit via a rollercoaster road (made worse by the rains), 9km off the main road. Check in was easy, reception helpful & friendly, and our room No.1 was super large with wonderful views from the terrace. We were just in time for complimentary tea & cake in the main restaurant, which was great as it was my birthday! Again more wonderful views from the terraces surrounding the main restaurant/bar. Dinner was delicious, the wine was reasonable and a beautiful orange African sunset had us at 'WoW'!! As we were only staying for one night, I booked a couple of treatments - an Indian head massage, which I found to be very rough and a manicure, which had to be redone the next day as the nail product wasn't very good. There were lots of other treatments available but only one member of staff that afternoon/evening, so my partner booked his for the following day. There are 2 x great pools, the indoor one was a natural mineral bath and was lovely and warm, the outdoor, unheated, but with fab views from all the loungers set up around it. Game drives were available from the resort, but as we had done quite a few already and it was just the Plains animals, we gave it a miss. As our flight wasn't until 8pm in the evening, we had hoped for a late checkout, which they couldn't do, but we were free to use all the facilities until we left. Overall a super place to stay for our last night and not too far from Windhoek airport. The road leading to the resort was pretty bad and seemed to go on forever - we were in a little Polo, so it was quite a hairy ride, but once we got there it was all forgotten. There were no sun umbrellas on the terraces surrounding the restaurant (as it was too windy??) which was a shame as it was too hot to sit out there in the full sun. More Wellness staff on hand.
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Thibaut (10/5): Exceptional - The view from the room was amazing.
The details on the bed for our honeymoon were great.
All the staff was super nice ! We should have arrived earlier to enjoy longer.
- Daniel (7/5): Incredibly beautiful location and astonishing views. Perfectly adequate lodge with big rooms & beds. - Incredibly spectacular view and location. Superb drive in to the lodge along the Auas mountains, lots of wildlife. Pick-up from the bottom of the hill didn't show up for 15 minutes while we waited in the rain so we drove up ourselves instead. Rooms are huge but not actually that convenient, enormous bath-tub in the floor with a shower over it. Mainly all the windows are sealed shut and you can't open them easily for an unencumbered view or fresh air, and you'd want easy access onto a balcony to soak in the great view. Dinner is fine but unspectacular, service is OK but uninspired, everything is ALMOST good/great but just falls short, difficult to explain what it is exactly, it feels like there is no owner. It feels a bit unkind to write this as the staff were all very friendly and kind - but it is what it is.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jean (10/5): Exceptional -
