• Aggeliki (10/5): - A great, beautiful, isolated place—an exceptional choice if you need some calm nights. There was a noticeable smell of mold, likely because the season had just begun and the house hadn’t been aired out sufficiently yet.

• bert (10/5): Heerlijk rustig verblijf, zeker na een week in de drukke stadjes in Puglia te hebben rondgeslenterd. Kortom een echte aa - Rustige omgeving, fijn en schoon huisje, keuken was goed ingericht. Heerlijk zwembad met aparte douches, fijne stoelen en ligstoelen. Heel gastvrij ontvangen.

Abbiamo soggiornato nel trullo per 3 notti, la stanza era pulita e arredata con cura nei minimi dettagli. Da quest'anno c'è anche una bellissima piscina di acqua salata che rinfresca le calde giornate pugliesi..La proprietaria Fiorella è stata da subito gentilissima e disponibile in qualsiasi nostra richiesta. Alla nostra partenza ci ha salutato anche con un piccolo dono molto gradito. Ritorneremo sicuramente!!

• Aida (9/5): Superb - We had a really nice stay. Flora is a very nice host. Everything is new, cosy and clean. The property is beautiful and calm. Rooms are comfortable, calm, big and clean. The swimming pool is perfect. Everything was perfect. However, I would recommend the property to put a sign on mosquito nets because sometimes it is impossible to see them.

• Isa (10/5): Super beautiful Masseria - Had a very good time at Masseria Macchia! Flora was very kind and the room was perfect. Everything was clean and looked amazing, including the pool which is located next to their own vineyard and olive trees.

• Riccardo (10/5): Beautifully renovated Masseria in the Apulian countryside - The masseria is recently renovated and curated in every detail. The swimming pool and the beautiful garden make it the perfect base to explore the surrounding towns of Ostuni, Alberobello, etc. but also to go to the seaside. The owner and the staff were very welcoming and passionate. We absolutely loved staying here! Everything was perfect
• Mak (6/5): A bit disappointing… - The property was beautiful and well kept all things considered. The room also looked beautiful and like the pictures. Upon arriving to our room after 24 hours of travel, we discovered that all of the bed linens were wet. Not even just damp, but wet to the touch. We had to quickly strip the beds and figure out how to hang dry all of the linens in hoping they would be at least somewhat dry in time for a decent bed time. Throughout our entire stay, we had to keep the door open and the heater on at night to keep the room somewhat dry and aired out as it smelled very musty. There was mold growing in the shower and you could see lines near the bottoms of the walls where there was water damage. We visited other Masseria’s while there and did not notice this damp, smelly issue anywhere else. By the end of our stay, all of our clothes smelled like that same musty smell in the room. On our first morning, we opened the door to leave and there was a single key in the outside lock of our room. This was obviously very concerning as we are a group of three women. I messaged the host and asked for more information about this and did not receive a response. Lastly, this location is extremely remote and not walkable. You have to rent a car to get to the nearby town, about 10 minutes drive, or to Ostuni which is about a 20 minutes drive. All in all, this is a very bare bones accommodation. There is a kitchen and living room but they are common areas and separate from the “family suite” I booked. Beautiful property and room, just wish it was advertised a bit more accurately.

• John (10/5): Exceptional - We booked two rooms at Masseria Macchia. The rooms and bathrooms were exceptionaly clean and stylish. Flora our host made sure we had a wonderful stay and was very helpful. If you decide to visit this property make sure to take Flora's suggestions on local restaurants. An ideal location to visit attractions due south of Bari. 1.5 hours from Bari, Matera and Otranto. Other attractions even closer. A personal mode of transport is essential but plenty of parking space at the property. The kitchen and living area is shared with other residents. No coffee, tea or kettle facilities in rooms but I'm sure Flora would have helped if we asked.

• Danielle (10/5): Exceptional - The property was so peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were super accommodating and made the check in and out process hassle free. I was also travelling alone and felt safe the whole time. The room I had was air conditioned and spacious which made it comfortable during the hot weather that ensued! It’s a bit tricky to get around if you don’t have a car.
