Guest Reviews
- Vanessa (8/5): Loved the Highlands and comfortable stay. - Great response from the company when kettle didn’t work and pillows needed replacing. Very quick to sort. Good location next to Loch. Fort William was a bit run down but was a good location to get to different areas eg Ben Nevis, the coast and Fort Augustus.
- Elizabeth (7/5): -
- Marina (7/5): - Von der Wohnung aus ist man schnell bei der Bahn und hat Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe Sehr unangenehmer Geruch in der Wohnung
- Gillian (10/5): Fabulous, relaxing break in a lovely peaceful location with everything you could need on hand, would definately stay her - The cottage was perfect, lovely and warm and cosy and exactly right for us, everything was super
comfortable, slept better in the bed than we do at home! Theres nothing to not like 🤷🏻♀️
- Gordon (10/5): -
- Danielle (10/5): -
- Pamela (9/5): - Great location, walking distance to the town center & very close to the loch. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and fully equipped for self catering. No staff on hand but was able to message and receive an instant reply. The only small issue was that we couldn't watch BBC iplayer on the TV but had Freeview instead.
Nada
- Andrew (9/5): - Clean, modern, and is really well kitted out. Presented cleanly with all the essentials supplied. Nice location with a loch walk immediately outside, and all the facilities of Fort William just a 5 minute drive Only slight issue was the width of the bed...
- saima (10/5): - This was our second time staying here, just being by the Loch is so peaceful and the view is beautiful especially the sunset! Shops are in walking distance. Space for parking. Its like being at home but better.
- Dovydas (10/5): -

- Tracy (9/5): Had a lovely couple of days. Would stay again. - Location was great! Lovely view across Loch. Oven was a bit hit and miss.
- Helen (8/5): Very good - Everything you need and walking distance to the town centre etc. Location was perfect but wished the trees weren’t there to spoil the lovely view in front of the accommodation.
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (10/5): Gem of Inverlochy - The property was ample for 2 people, plenty of room and all the ameneties like home. Exceptionally clean and tidy. Inverlochy is just a short walk to the town and shops and the opposite way to Ben Nevis distillery and Higland soap company. It was central to everything. We didnt dislike anything.
- Casey (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (9/5): Great quiet place to stay. - Really nice and clean accommodation in a quiet, peaceful residential area. Thank you for providing tea/coffee/milk as we were travelling light. The location was fantastic, just a walk to the bus and train station with a Morrison's and Lidl right next to them. So easy to get public transport. These were also right next to the underpass for the local shops and restaurants/bars. We left early morning for days out and only returned to sleep. There was no heating in the bathroom so it was very cold.
- Laurie (9/5): Lovely quiet accommodation in a great spot for relaxing walks or just sitting looking at the loch. - Lovely cosy little house on the edge of Loch Linnhe within a stones throw of the Caledonian Way and Great Glen Way. Nicely furnished and comfortable and away from the main road, so nice and quiet.
- Hadrian (10/5): Exceptional - The house and location were excellent.
The house was very clean and had everything you could need, would definitely recommend it!! You could be made aware that you need to book pretty much everything in advance, was turned away from a few places because we'd not pre-booked
- Saima (10/5): Exceptional - The whole house was perfect. It had everything needed for our holiday. Spacious dining/living room, comfortable size bedroom. Location was amazing, evening walks by the loch were a perfect way to end the day. 10minutes walk from the town/bus station. We will definitely book again soon!
We were running slightly late on the day of check out staff were helpful in giving us a little more time- we are so thankful for this. Nothing to dislike
- Markus (8/5): Very good - Fully equipped, especially the washing machine was great to have. Nice size, great location The bed needs an urgent replacement. It is way too soft and seems quite old. That was the only feature that did not fit the overall positive view I had.
Provide exact details of what goes where in the bins. Every country is different. How should I know what is custom in Scotland?
- Suzanne (7/5): Good - A driveway for parking. Very small shower. Next to a garage. Very small.
- Sharon (10/5): Excellent property and location. - The property in an excellent location, 10 minute walk into town centre. Spotless inside and really cosy. All furnished very modern and very comfortable. Very quiet location overlooking the loch. Excellent property and will 100% rebook if in Fort William again. Nothing bad to say at all.
- Kathryn (8/5): Great for climbing Ben Nevis - Great location for Ben Nevis, can walk into town and to local shops easy. Good facilities - washing machine and tumble dryer. Was clean. Hot water into shower wasn’t working and there was a ‘fishy’ smell (think previous guests cooked fish and smell lingered the whole time we were there no matter how many windows we opened). No outside seating.
- Rob (4/5): Very expensive for accommodation that is basic - Good location for fort William Uncomfortable sofa and dining chairs tiny bedroom very cheap cooking pans
- Graham (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (7/5): Decent location and well equipped cottage. - Nice quiet location. Rather close to the next door garage workshop.
- Maria (4/5): Liked Fort William but would definitely not stay in this place again - Fairly good location A garage next door with approximately about 9 cars, vans and trailers which came and went all day-so close that we could touch them outside the kitchen and side windows
- Diane (10/5): Would recommend to friends, family. - Convenient, quiet, had everything we needed.
- Giles (10/5): Really nice spot and convenient for Fort William, with quality accommodation - Ideal location, clean and comfortable
- Emma (9/5): Ideal base location to explore - Really good location for being a central base. Quiet area but literally ten minute walk into town. Numerous shops, pubs, restaurants and the usual Morrisons, Lidl, McDonald’s, KFC. Clean property, spacious enough for a couple or small family. Kitchen well equipped. Literally across the road from walkways across from the Lochs.
- Hannah (9/5): Lovely house by the water - Really good place to stay. Very well equipped for a rental house, everything we needed was there! Including a washing machine. Great location by the water, with everything such, as supermarket, close by. Clean and comfortable. It's a shame for this great accomodation, but the entre to the bedroom had some very sharp and not visible things (screws?) sticking out. It was a painful surprise stepping on these barefooted.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb -
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (10/5): This was the very best of the 25 Airbnb we stayed at during our trip - Quite location, extremely comfortable and well equipped, warm, very clean and spacious.
Great place to stay. Nothing!!
- Lana (9/5): Superb - We visited FW to watch downhill MTB world champs. We were super happy with the accommodation, it rained quite heavily during our stay but the house was super cosy and comfortable with ample room. The kitchen was well equiped, we chose to eat in a couple of nights. Location was an 8min walk from the train station, and centre of town for supermarket, bars / restaurants and bus connections to get to the Ben Nevis Range, would definitely stay here again.
- Stuart (9/5): Superb -
- Neil (8/5): Really nice home from home bungalow - Great view of the river! Too far from the town/station. The TV didn't work.
- Karl (6/5): Clean, smart living room and kitchen, but small double bed in a tight bedroom. - The accommodation was very clean. The sitting room was well proportioned and comfortable. The kitchen was nice. Bathroom was fine. The bedroom was too tight and it was a very small double bed. The check-out time was a little early at 10.00 sharp. Overall the price was high.
- Irene (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our break and would definitely recommend - Property was spotless and has absolutely everything you need. Having parking space a bonus. Lovely quiet area. Perfect walks along river in front of property. Very comfortable bed. We had an issue with tv not working but fixed by owners within a couple of hours. Easy 7 minute walk to station for Jacobite express 10 mins to Main Street with restaurants and pubs. Bedroom a bit warm and window locked which I understand for security but fan would have been good.
- Steve (3/5): A little worn in terms of rooms and fittings -
- Moore (9/5): Wonderful memories made in Glen Nevis! - Great location! Close to grocery store and recreation. Locking door was a bit tricky at first but able to figure it out.
- Anthony (9/5): all good - no worries - Stayed only for a few days but could have stayed longer. Good location for Fort William and surrounding areas. maybe a fan - as quite hot
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
- Andy (9/5): Close to all amenities, without the noise, hussle and bussle of the Centre. - The Location was perfect for what we wanted. We travelled on the Jacobite Train, so this was a good place to start that journey from. It was all good.
- Lisa (10/5): Beautiful cottage, excellent location - The location is stunning and close to everything, literally 5 - 10 minutes walk from the train station.
The cottage is immaculate and has everything you need, there was fresh milk in the fridge and coffee machine with coffee pods, sugar tea and coffee sachets. The kitchen is amazing and has literally everything you need, was bin bags and cleaning products, sponges, fresh tea towels, washing machine, clothes airer, massive fridge freezer (actually bigger than me!) The sofa bed was spacious and comfortable. The bedroom had massive mirrored wardrobe with loads of hangers shelves, usb sockets, really comfortable double bed loads of pillows, there is plenty of fresh towels. The best place I’ve ever stayed by far.. get it booked!
- Linda (8/5): Good location, comfortable accommodation and within easy walk to all facilities in Fort William - The location
Facilities
Easy parking Small knife and small jug for kitchen use. First evening was sunny but no outside seating available - don’t know why.
- David (9/5): Very minor issues. A great house for a holiday at Fort William - It had almost everything. We could spread out and feel like we were at home. The TV supported Apps and was not the old fashioned ones in most hotels. It also came with washing machine and powder. It had no dryer. Was a small ants problem at night.
- Tina (10/5): 😍 loved it - We liked everything. By far the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. I meant to lift the mattress to see who made it but i forgot. The kitchen was like being at home we had everything we needed. Washing machine a real plus 👍
Quiet residential area we didn’t see a soul all week. I haven’t anything negative to say accept that be careful on the rug in living room. It’s quite slippery if your not expecting it.
- Earl (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyable stay! - The location was perfect for us, with a walking path along the loch visible from our front window. Accommodations were excellent in all ways. Off-street parking at our front door was very handy. A home away from home for us.
- Hayward (7/5): Comfortable place, convenient for Ben Nevis - Good location for Ben Nevis and other activities. Comfortable place. Right on the loch side. The situation of the property is a bit odd, next to a small car workshop on a rather rough though potentially lovely lochside road.
- James (8/5): Very good - Very nice quiet location. Comfortable and clean, we had everything we needed. Self check-in was ideal.
- Kim (9/5): A well equipped apartment in an excellent location. - The apartment had everything we needed and was in an excellent location. The bedding had a strange smell to it.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Great location. Plenty of storage for bikes/outdoor equipment. The settee was a little uncomfortable so it was hard to relax after a hard day hiking
