Guest Reviews
- Ellie (9/5): - The property was perfectly located and had a good range of furniture.
- Nina (7/5): Great location, room for improvement - Good parking, spacious & warm, good garden space. Not best equipped for families, no high chair, no travel cot. Windows screwed shut so cannot open? And stairs were dangerous in areas with loose stairs, and large open banister where glass did not fit properly. The property is noisy with the old furnishings, and has minimal curtains/ privacy. Dog next door was barking in the early hours which interrupted ours. We were there for Xmas but unfortunately the real tree was very old by the time we arrived and turned in to a pile of pine needles for our stay.
- Kelly (9/5): A lovely, peaceful stay which gave us the opportunity to reconnect with our teenagers and enjoy some family time. - The cottage was really cosy and very tastefully decorated. The garden was lovely and safe for our dog. It felt very homely and comfortable. Was nice to arrive and find milk and a few treats. There was already sugar, tea and coffee available to use as-well as plenty of cleaning products - washing up liquid, sponges etc. I’ve stayed in places before where nothing was provided so had to go out and buy some basics. We had a Tesco delivery booked for after we arrived and there was plenty of fridge/freezer space. The beds were comfortable and, despite there being a road run alongside the cottage, noise was not an issue at all. The lounge was very cosy and, although the sofas were comfortable, they were very low! The WiFi was a little temperamental at times which was only an issue as we were staying with 3 teenagers that cannot bear to be unconnected for too long! Occasionally the signal would drop out whilst watching TV but it was no huge issue. Also, could have done with a few more kitchen accessories….baking trays, serving bowls etc. We managed - and the oven was lovely and big - but I was struggling a little when trying to cook a lot at once (the teenagers eat ALOT, especially after all those hilly walks!)

- Liz (9/5): Beautiful cottage & garden - Beautifully furnished and decorated. Lovely garden in country setting. Welcome gift of milk & snacks much appreciated. Road noise - lots of bank holiday motorbikes. Maybe more mugs/crockery would be good. Car needed to reach shops & pub etc.
