Guest Reviews
- Ollie (9/5): -
- joanne (9/5): - WiFi not very strong
- Joy (10/5): - A home away from home.
The most gorgeous stay for our girls night in!
The cottage was clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing and catching up together!
We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our weekend away. We’d absolutely recommend it and can't wait to come back!
- Roni (10/5): Beautiful home, cute feel, warm cosy, hot tub a hit The huge dinning table was great ti enjoy our food & sit chatting r - It was beautiful booked for my 60th with friends There was nothing to fault Stairs steap only room for one hand rail nothing else
- Jackie (10/5): -
- Adam (10/5): - Awesome quirky modern cottage in a great location Nothing however as a pointer coat hooks/Shoe rack would be a great addition to the entrance hall
- Kerry (9/5): Short 2 night stay. - The cottage was very spacious, clean and in a relaxing area. The host was extremely helpful and very accommodating.
- Anna (10/5): - Game room, hot tube, town
- Aaran (9/5): Great spot near lots of golf courses - Great location close to pubs and restaurants, comfortable beds and brilliant hot tub in the garden. Only one parking spot with on street parking available but even the closest being a 50 m walk from the front door. Described as a 4 bed in listing and then in right up states the 4th bedroom has entrance through another bedroom. In reality it's a 3 bedroom with a partition wall put up into the middle of one with about a 6 foot gap at one end.
- Val (10/5): - Tifferny was very helpful. Very well equipped residence Described as four bedroom. Possibly should say 2 double bedrooms and a family room.
- Darren (10/5): Extremely responsive host ! Loved this place and we will be rebooking - Lovely and clean 😊
Hot tub and games room was amazing 🤩
- Luanne (10/5): Beautiful property great location - Location, the property is so spacious and has everything you need. The hot tub and games room where fabulous. So clean and decoated beautifully. Nothing it was fantastic and wanted to stay longer 😆
- Maccabee (8/5): Great location - This was a good facility for our weekend. The games room was a hit for the kids and the adults.. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub the garden was great. The location was perfect for us enough places to eat and a 5/10 min drive to the sea front for amusements.. So a couple of things that can't be changed ceilings and doorways quite low and only one bathroom. Myself and 2 others in the group are 6ft plus and there were 6 of us having to share the bathroom. Parking wasn't too much of issue as some locals are very accommodating and helpful. Nothing not to like about the cottage... Just remember it's a cottage..
- Nicky (10/5): Great stay - The village is idyllic with excellent pubs and everything on your doorstep. Close drive to Southport.
The cottage itself is so spacious, clean and comfortable. Couldn't fault anything. The hot tub and games room were a big hit with the kids and the big kids The only thing I could see being an issue is only 1 bathroom. I appreciate that the building is probably listed and it would be problematic to squeeze in a furtherbathroom, but would be a great addition and make this property even more perfect.
- Stacy (10/5): Excellent cottage. - The space. I loved the decor. The hot tub. The games room. The stairs were slippy. Me and my little boy are left handed so when walking down the stairs we had nothing to hold onto. So we slipped a few times.
- Colette (10/5): -
- Kathryn (10/5): Celebrating in style a friends 50th birthday - Loved the property and so close to the village… happy memories as lived here until I was 19. We did not use the games room but great for kids. No complaints For a group of ladies a downstairs toilet would be great… we knew only one bathroom though.
- Susan (8/5): - Comfortable beds, plenty of room, quick response to any problems.
- Joellen (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (8/5): Stunning property in a lovely area. Comfy beds and lovely bedding. - Stunning home, hot tub and games room were excellent. Good kitchen facilities. One shower for 8 people was a struggle! Especially when we wanted to use the hot tub. A bbq would have been a nice addition.
- Susan (9/5): Great break - Nice area, private well equipped and spotlessly clean. Plenty of space comfy beds and fluffy towels
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - My daughter Grandchildren and I enjoyed the hot tub and games room. The beds were comfortable cottage, beautiful and clean. We all had a great time, thank you. Nothing.
- Debbie (9/5): Lovely clean and comfortable stay will visit again 🌸 - The cleanliness and comfort of beds ,
bedding and pillows.
Modern furniture and freshly painted rooms
Games room and hot tub also made an enjoyable stay. If I had to say something it would be that the shower was difficult to adjust water temperature ,
and the parking was difficult as only 1 space for each house and couldn’t get in and out freely.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! The property was clean, well presented with everything you need to hand.
The surrounding village is lovely, with shops pubs and eateries all in walking distance of the property. Nothing.
- Administrator (10/5): Perfect Stay! - We had this accommodation booked for a 2 week work trip and it was just what we needed. The property was comfortable and clean, and the added bonus of the games room kept everyone entertained while being away from home.
- Tara (10/5): Exceptional - I have booked this accommodation for colleagues working in the area on a number of occasions as the location is perfect. all communication has been excellent and the property provided all the home comforts required when working away from home
- Waring (9/5): Gorgeous cottage with lots of fun features for families. - What a fab place to stay! Located in a lovely little village, a short distance from Southport coast and the botanical gardens.
Excellent facilities, we loved the games room, hot tub and there is plenty of space for 2 families of 4.
Outdoor space and garden areas are awesome.
Warm and cosy. Lovely clean decor. Good communication from the host. Great kitchen and cooking facilities, dishwasher and washing machine with cleaning products etc. The beds weren't the comfiest for us, but that might be personal preference. The bed could have been bigger in the main bedroom. The stairs are quite steep and the carpet is a little worn and slippery, so young kids or people with mobility needs would need to go steady
- Jim (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (9/5): Very nice, would stay again, thank you. - Lovely accommodation with very good facilities. Would return. Thank you for a very nice stay. Bedroom next to the bathroom is very noisy. Every time anyone uses the bathroom it sounds like you are in the with them and toilet flushing is so noisy, woke us multiple times. Needs an anti slip shower mat, older family members and children struggled with slipping whilst in the shower. A few blankets in the living room would be nice, however it was particularly cold (snowing) the weekend we visited and the house was nice and warm.
- Patricia (10/5): A fabulous weekend. The cottage was lovely and so was the hot tub. - Excellent Nothing
- Jennifer (10/5): Great cottage lovely village and will be back - Great location just behind Road with 2 pubs wine bar deli and chocolate shop .
Cottage was very spacious very nice bedding great kitchen .Games Room and great dining area.
It had everything you would need .
Great garden and separate patio area with hot tub
We had great stay and was decorated for Xmas
Parking for one car but plenty of free parking within 2 min walk on square or street Bed are small for doubles
More mirrors
Hot tub did not work on 3 day
More information on how to work tv and games room things
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The host had very kindly left some treats and set up a Christmas tree. We all loved the games room and hot tub. Would definitely stay here again!
- Tara (10/5): I booked this accommodation for colleagues working in the area they loved it -
- Sean (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely area. Cottage was nice and big with a good layout. Excellent all round.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great! Host was amazing when I left my keys there after checking out. Photos do not do justice how big the place is! Nothing, up there with some of the best places I've stayed! Will be returning
- Buddhadiane (8/5): Luxury and convenience combined - Arcade games and hot tub etc made it fun for the children as well as the adults once the little ones were in bed. Convenient quiet location right in the heart of the village so easy walking to restaurants, cafes, the amazing Botanic Gardens etc Nothing to complain about though a gazebo over the hot tub would perhaps make it even more comfortable
- Bowden (10/5): Exceptional - Location was amazing I have stayed here before and will prob stay again
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zoey (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. The hot tub was amazing as was the games room. The children loved both. It was modern and really tastefully decorated. Nothing everything was prefect.
- Alan (9/5): Pleasant and worthwhile - Clean and comfortable
- Paul (9/5): Great family size cottage - Superb cottage very modern and very clean. Hot tub and games room was most enjoyable with all the family. Good location with plenty of eateries close by.
- Shirley (6/5): Not a 4 bedroom property - Cottage was quirky and exceptionally clean. The games room was a big hit as was the hot tub for first two days. The beds were small but very comfortable. The fourth bedroom is accessed through the 3rd bedroom so not really 4 bedrooms and no privacy. If we'd have known this we wouldn't have booked! A floor plan needs to be added to the listing. Nobody came to check the levels on the hot tub which looked pretty scummy after 2 days. There is also only 1 parking space for 8 people so be prepared to find alternative parking away from the property.
- Fiona (9/5): Superb - Hot tub, vibe and area No curtains, too bright with just blinds
- Vicky (10/5): Amazing - Everything Nothing
- Kokuakupi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christalla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leyla (10/5): Charming little cottage, would recommend to all!! - Beautiful little cottage which has been renovated to high standard. Very clean and stylish with modern facilities. Hot tub was a bonus too! Need few more toilet rolls and some hand towels in the kitchen also a sponge to wash dishes with. But other than that it was lovely!!
- Jarred (8/5): Very good -
- Vibrans (10/5): Exceptional -
- Filip (10/5): Exceptional - This property is a true gem! We loved the layout, kitchen was well equipped, games room as a match made in heaven (foosball for the win!), Dining Room is big and comfy, Living room was perfect for the evenings. Hot tub was very enjoyable! (special kudos for the lights in the back yard).
Bedrooms are lovely, bed sheets and towels felt like hotel quality. Because we arrived to the property with a taxi, we got confused on how to find the property (which is down an alley, and goes behind the main street that corresponds with the GPS address ).
If we had a picture with a little arrow, it would have helped us understand where to go better haha.
We got lucky as a lady that was staying in an accommodation near by happened to overhear our confusion, and help us on which way we should go.
The only thing we missed in the kitchen was salt, pepper, and enough coffee capsules.
The only thing that interrupted our relaxation in the hot tup was the fence in the back yard - it was quite windy during our stay, and unfortunately all the panels of the fence were moving between their fittings and making loud banging noises.
