Guest Reviews
- Luke (10/5): 10/10 would recommend to anyone, will be staying here when I’m back in Japan. - The property has everything you need, it’s lovely and clean. The location is perfect as well between two train stations so travel is super easy N/A
- Miroslav (9/5): -
- Michiko (10/5): I had a comfortable stay, felt safe and easy checking in process. - Convenient location Nothing to note
- Jason (10/5): The host was very communicative. They made sure everything was clear and concise. Every morning he was on the property, - It was very quiet and secluded. Didn’t even hear the neighbours around. You are literally between three stations, which was so convenient. Local grocery store and several local restaurants along with 7/11 and Familymart was so accessible by foot. This place is a gem. There was not anything really to dislike about the property. May a chair would have been nice, but we made it work with the bed or the blue stand.
- Philippe (7/5): Bien mais pourrait être beaucoup mieux ! - L'emplacement.
- Philippe (8/5): great stay !
- Caitlin (6/5): - no towel
- Jaeho (10/5): -
- Huart (7/5): -
- Rumbo (10/5): Recommended - Everything was clean and organized; close to a major station and everyone was respectful I had no problems
- Alejo (10/5): Affordable apartment, good value for money! - Good clear communication, and easy to extend It was a little chilly, but there is a room heater so its a non problem.

Nachts etwas kalt
- Ceren (8/5): - I liked it, for what we paid it actually exceeded our expectations despite some reviews I saw. We were near a bus stop and the appartment is in between 2 metro station both are like 10 minutes by walking, which we didn’t really mind. If you are a light sleeper you might hear some noises but honestly we didn’t hear much noise and had no problem of it at all. Overall it was a good stay and the host is very nice. The wi-fi stopped working at day 2 of our stay and the host did message us and say there was a problem and we had to turn it on and off but we couldn’t find the router, and the communication with the host regarding the wi-fi went a bit slow. We searched everywhere even the place he said but we couldn’t see a router and we couldn’t move the washing machine or fridge either so we had to be with no internet and it was a bit annoying because I couldn’t do much work on my laptop..

- Marco (9/5): Great position close to JR line - Great position, everything needed was there and the JR line is very close Crammed spaces, as two people traveling with two luggages we had some issue with space on where to open or store our luggages

- Oliver (10/5): - The apartment was clean, and had everything I needed!
I had a very lovely time staying here!

- Alexander (8/5): Well...it is cheap - It is optimized for cost. It is cheap. The area is not overrun by tourists, people actually will speak Japanese with you as English isn't standard compared to more touristy spots. The moment you book, a day after they ask you to rate this place 10 stars, of course they don't mind if you wait until after your stay. I booked 6 month in advance, so I thought this is a scam, it is not! The place is real.
So, you are not expected to take off your shoes. Not even in the room. A romantic way of describing the place would be "lived in". A concrete example would be, after 20 hours in airports and on planes, all I wanted to do was take a shower, what I did instead was cleaning. There is a washer/dryer, I felt adventurous and used it. I followed the instructions and cleaned it twice, I don't think it was ever cleaned before. It has a mouldy smell and washes your clothes way too hot on the recommended auto setting, it also fails to dry them. I took my clothes to one of the many coin laundries nearby. The location isn't as much a selling point as I anticipated. Tokyo public transportation is the hoot, don't choose accommodations based on location in Tokyo.
It is meant for a short layover, if all you are looking for is a bed, this might do. I was there 3 weeks. The walls are paper thin, please go elsewhere if you don't want to live in peace. Most people were very respectful, but I had to endure some rather noisy Russians and Portuguese and 2 teenage boys who looked as if they had runway from home, that was kinda cute, they were giggling deep into the morning hours.
Alternatives in the price range would be a business hotel, if your Japanese is up to it, I would recommend that or a hostel, if you tolerate halal food and prayer mats. Honestly, just save up some more money. I had to be in Tokyo and this was the best option for my situation, given my Japanese, intolerance and lack of savings.
They do try their best with what is given. The manager of the place is very old, I think he couldn't keep it cleaner if he tried, so they are trying.
The Wi-Fi is very slow.
- David (10/5): I was very glad to be able to stay there. - The apartment was very clean and reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful.
- Mauricio (7/5): -
- Tze Sean (10/5): Perfect Accomodation - Local surrounding, tip top room condition, Daiso Lawson Familymart 7eleven very nearby To JR Meguro stn needs to climb a steep hills
- Mr. (8/5): -
- NZ traveller (6/5): I would not stay again unless the clutter was removed and room was redecorated. - Location good for Fudamae and Meguro train stations; close to where a relative is staying. Has all facilities (bed; kitchenette incl microwave; shower; toilet; foldaway table and chair). Too much clutter in the room and hallway. Linen and other items stored in room and hallway which made the very small space very cluttered. The clutter should be removed. The room was worn and old; some cleaning of corners etc required as made the room generally seem unclean. Main areas seemed to be cleaned satisfactorily but overshadowed by age and aforementioned grimey corners which were not clean. Only suitable for one person because of very small size.
- Federica (9/5): -
- Nashe (7/5): - The host was excellent with communication and provided check in details ahead of time. The place is small but worked for us as it was only two sisters traveling. It's a 15 minute walk to Meguro Station on the Yamanote line (which made it easier to do nearby attractions). The place is also 5 minute walk to Fudoson Sando bus station, 7 minute walk to OtoriJinja Mae bustop which you can take to Meguro station and town. Amenities are fully stocked up and the washing machine came in handy. More linen and towels were available if required and communal umbrellas which came in handy. Walls are thin but it was quite for us. Overall a great experience.
- Iris (10/5): -
- Sean (9/5): Simple and Nice - Everything you need is here. The Aircon works very well, the fridge is the right size for a short stay and gets very cold, having a washing machine in the room is very convenient. The location has many options for dining and drinks. There are also many convenience stores and small grocery stores in the area. In my room, 201, the shower is illuminated by the light from the room. When you draw the privacy curtain the light is drastically cut inside the shower. The towels provided were a bit small to dry my entire body. There is no space to unpack your clothes or hang them up. A thin closet or small dresser would be helpful.
- Richard (2/5): Sounded good in the listing, not as described. - Vaguely in Meguro, a nice Tokyo area. Badgering/ guilt tripping by staff to rate highly, but very little effort by staff to clean or maintain unit. Place was filthy, toilet full of ****, bed looked like it had been slept on. Staff said no one had slept there but looked that way because plumbing tools were laid on the sheets. Gee, thanks. Tried to wash the sheets with washing machine in unit that supposedly washed and dried. After 3 hrs or so of running, sheets were still soaking. Staff said it takes time just be patient. The machine had stopped. After 68 hours the sheets were still soaking. Unit is tiny. Someone said steps from Meguro station. I would guess something like 4000 steps away, literally. Door to the unit was open when I arrived and no staff around. They told me to leave it open when I left. Anybody could have come in. Floor was filthy…… the place is tiny and no way it would work for 2 people. So small the toilet door was blocked by the bed and only opened about 1/4 of the way. Construction debris was all over. As tiny as the unit was they took up part of it with their storage of sheets. …….. there’s probably more but it’s exhausting to remember all the bad stuff. Staff: Please spend more time cleaning the place than trying to badger people into giving you a good review.
- John (7/5): - Neat and tidy enough. Nice location. Because of the bunk beds, even as a solo traveller, I couldn't really sit anywhere comfortably in the apartment.
- Eliyahu (7/5): -
- Anıl (1/5): -
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional - good
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Burgess (7/5): Very clean - Very clean (exceptionally clean)
Very easy check in
Good value for money
Quiet area
Very private
Nice en-suite bathroom and shower The room was a little cramped compared to the picture. I think the picture is of one of the other rooms. Because we expected the room that is a little bit bigger, I think we felt a bit cramped, as the bathroom door doesn’t open all the way and everything is very close together. I imagine if you were very big or tall it could be a problem, but it suited us just fine. It was clean and well-kept even though it is smaller than usual.
- Ti (1/5): The shower faucet was broken and keeps dropping water, I escalated this problem to hosted but got ignored; my room was b - Probably no.. Far from the station, small room (those are OK, marked in homepage, it’s no that good but I’ll not complain about “known issue” considering of the price and location);
- Aurora (1/5): Worst Japanese experience so far - The position was comfortable and easy to access in a quiet area. We are not a fancy couple, we are used to sleep everywhere but what I don't like is being lied to. The apartment was so dirty and dusty that we could not turn the heater on and consequently could not sleep well at night, since it was too cold. The kitchen appliances were all dirty and we basically cleaned the place ourselves. Since they had constructions going on, the owner should have told us upfront and offered a cheaper price, but since he advertised that as clean and neat I can't accept it. When I contacted the host to tell him I could not stay for the whole booking, he confirmed a refund of the night I did NOT use but after 1 whole month I still couldn't get the full refund of the 2 nights even though I switched accomodation after he told us we could leave earlier. Both me and my boyfriend are allergic to dust and I could not considered that place a safe stay. I am truly disappointed, since I have never encountered something like this and I never left a bad review after a booking, but in this case is necessary even to warn other guests.
- Abashia (6/5): Pack your own towels. - The shower, shampoo and conditioner were really nice. Bus stop is close and close to a family mart and daiso. Great that there was a fridge and microwave. The Apartment is about a 20 minute walk to the Meguro Station. uphill. There were lots of renovations going on, and all the materials were just left outside not having a very pleasant façade. There was no elevator and had to carry our bags up and down a narrow flight of stairs which was covered in dust. The single seater couch/sleeper couch that was in the pictures wasn't on the room, there was only 1 stool to sit on, which made it quite awkward as it was bunk beds. The sink was massive and took the whole counter space, there was no space to put anything on the counter. There were things under the bed as well as in between the wall and bed. We couldn't store our bags under the bed to make more space. One of my biggest issues is that there were no bath towels, only hand towels. Nowhere in the description did it say pack your own towels. After a full day of traveling all we wanted to do is have a nice hot shower and we couldn't because there were no towels. I messaged the host and the response was that I need to pack my own, or buy it, the daiso is around the corner. It would be great if there were towels, I might even have given a higher rating because of it.
- Agnieszka (1/5): BED BUGS - Cheap and conveniently located We had a terrible experience at this accommodation. The room was infested with bed bugs — we woke up covered in bites, itchy and uncomfortable. We had to leave after the first night and spent our entire afternoon at a laundromat washing all our belongings to prevent spreading the infestation.
The room itself was extremely cramped; we couldn’t even open the bathroom doors fully. It felt more like a poorly maintained capsule than a proper hotel room. We got a refund for unused nights, but no compensation was offered for the inconvenience, and the management showed little concern.
We travel often and have never encountered anything like this before in Japan. This stay completely derailed our trip — do yourself a favour and book elsewhere.
- An (9/5): Superb - Location is really nice, and the facilities are just what you need (the shower placement was interesting). However the floor could be cleaner, we could see brown smudges
- Kaya (9/5): Would come back for the next trip to Tokyo no major complaints is perfect and convenient especially if you’re switching - Amenities provided and pamphlet instructions Toilet needs to be replaced
- Bryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (10/5): Excellent host. Nice clean and easily accessible apartment located in a beautiful area of Tokyo. I highly recommended - Great location and room was big and nice for being in a major borough of Tokyo No bad things to say
- Jean-philippe (9/5): Superb -
- Zoltán (8/5): It is a good place to stay for solo travelers for a few days. - I really liked the location of the accommodation. It is a 15 mins walk from Meguro Station, also it is a nice and quiet neighbourhood! Overall, the room was nice, next to the basic facilities, there were microwave, fridge and water boiling pot as well. I would recommend to the owner to clean and check the AC as it was really dusty and was really hard to make it operating, also please make sure to find a new place for the blankets and towels to store, because they made really hard to pass by in the corridor area.
- Kevin (9/5): Good value, basics stay - All basic amenities are present. Shower hot water was erratic.
Limited kitchen space.
- Caden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nani (4/5): Regular - The owners are friendly. Meguro is 5 minutes away from Shibuya. Very calm area. The place is very cropped . U cannot move around and the restroom is literally next to the beds. It’s good if u genuinely are with one person and don’t have that many stuff with you. Takes 12-15 minutes to reach the station
- Nani (7/5): I liked it so much and I would recommend it - It’s 2 stops from Shibuya. There’s enough space for people to walk and have their baggage which is different than the common Japanese tiny areas ( if you are two people ). It’s pretty clean and the owners reply fast I didn’t like how the room wasn’t getting cleaned although we were charged cleaning fee while booking. Also the apartment is pretty far from the station but also had tough hills
- Yudai (4/5): Disappointing -
- Choi (10/5): Very good - The place had everything we needed and a 30second wall to dasio which was very convenient. Also, staff were very helpful.
- Jere (10/5): Exceptional - location and the room was really good
- Wu (10/5): Exceptional - The room is clear for the travelers who wants a good price and good experience So far so good
- Robert (8/5): A nice and cheap stay, convenient but also you are getting what you pay for. - Good location and value, close to some nice stores and 10m walk from train station. Has most facilities you will need and cheap too. The room we stayed in was quite small and narrow, entering the toilet was hard because you could not open the door very far. Shower area only enclosed by curtains and no light source so had to use phone flashlight.
- Zach (2/5): Dirty and disappointing. - The location was okay - A 15 minute walk from the JR Meguro station and 9 minute walk from Fudo-Mae station. A few nice places to eat and supermarkets nearby. Wifi worked well and host responded quickly for the most part. The place was filthy when we arrived. There was hair (including pubic hair) all over the floor and most of the appliances and surfaces were covered in dust. We were only supplied two bath towels, no towels to dry our hands after washing them and to dry our feet coming out of the shower. The shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned too. It had hair stuck in the drain that we couldn't remove, causing water to pool at our feet and us constantly turning the water off to avoid it from overflowing. The toilet was broken, the seat was so off centred to one side making it awkward to sit on and the bidet didn't work. The walls are so thin you can hear every word the people in the neighbouring room are saying, making it impossible to sleep if they decide to stay up late. There was so much rubbish and junk at the front entrance and on the balcony -making the balcony completely unusable. The hallway and staircase were filthy too - had rubbish and clumps/balls of hair. The flat sheet didn't fit the bed so it would come off easily exposing the matress. There were smelly matresses stopping the front door from completely opening. We were charged a ¥5,500 cleaning fee before staying but we ended up cleaning most of the apartment ourselves before staying here. I understand this place is on the cheaper side but I would never pay any amount of money to stay here again.
- Angelo (10/5): So good. - Safe. The location is very good. Just a note if youre carrying a lot of luggage might be better if you take an uber from/to meguro station. Since the road is uphill They are making a overall improvement of the place. So there’s a lot of construction going on during the morning to afternoon. But it didnt bothers at all
- Mataya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Davor (8/5): Very good -
- Kenny (8/5): Very good -
(3/5): Good manager but terrible room - Everythings great but some kind of stinky smell coming fromthe shower booth and under the bed. I stay here for 9 days and the smell was not dissapear despite of manager’s cleaning service and air refreshing. If someone get the room 204 here. CANCEL IT RIGHT NOW!!!! Stinky smell in the room
- Denver (7/5): Good - The location was very nice and the overall atmosphere was very peaceful.
The many provided amenities were also a big positive! The entryway appeared to be under renovation, so there was quite a bit of debris in front of the building.
The building was also a little hard to find initially.
- Daniel (9/5): Great location, nice apartment - Very good location, and very easy to check in and out. It has everything one need Las day we had no water, this was never told to us. This things happen but would have been nice to know in advance
- Gnjatovic (10/5): Very good location + equipment for the price (suitable for long stays) - Me and my dad were staying in Tokyo for roughly 2 weeks and honestly at first the place felt like it was too small for such a “long” stay. However, after 2-3 days we got used to it and started liking the fact that it was small as it motivated us to go out more. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning worked really well! There is a Family Mart around 100m from the apartment so that came in super handy. Apartment was equipped with everything you could possibly think of - toothbrushes, shampoo and shower gel, microwave, kettle, hair dryer, hair straightener, adapters…etc! There were renovations going on in one of the apartments and there was no disturbance whatsoever. They were very helpful with guiding my dad with proper disposal of trash and were very polite and friendly. Meguro Station is roughly 15min away from the apartment and even though it is an uphill it works as a great workout!;) We were honestly very pleasantly surprised and happy with our stay in Tokyo and recommend this apartment ( or at least apartment 205:)). I wish there was a mop! ( or maybe I just wasn’t able to find it..)
- Myles (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great and apartment was located on a quiet street not far from the train station.
- Byunggyu (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, no noise from other rooms, the neighborhood is very quiet and safe. Has a convenience store nearby. Everything was great.
- Melina (9/5): Superb -
- Mattia (8/5): Cheap and well positioned. - -really like the position and the price. It really was convenient!
-no noise, comfortable mattressess... Sleep was good!
-perfect furniture (ac, fridge, toilette, shower... It was all perfectly working). -bed sheets were not good at all. Every morning we woke up on the mattress because the sheets couldn't be properly tuck.
-despite being clean, the room smelled bad. I don't know if it was the mattresses to be blamed, but even a room dehodorant couldn't solve it
-couldn't make the dryer work, we ended up going to a coin washer 3 times in 10 days. It was probably our fault, though, as the washing machine was in japanese.
-the room was extremely small. We could work it out in 2, but I dont think 3 people could ever fit in.
- Alex (1/5): *AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST* - *AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST*
First the address was wrong, so we went around and looked for nothing, until a lady told us to follow her. Found out she had nothing to do with the place, but apparantly the locals know about this issue.
We arrive at a garbage looking apartment, garbage everywhere outside and you are welcomed into a funky and nasty smell with no checkin. We didnt get any information about this place, or our rooms, so we just walked straight into a room and just assumed it was ours.
The room was dirty and hasnt been cleaned for a long time, and many leftovers from orher guests was there. Hair was everywhere
So many things was broken, the door frame was hanging so you could see into our room, the shower doors was hanging, so the water will spill anywhere if you take a shower. The lights in the shower doesnt work, and there is no ventilation so water will get everywhere.
They will charge you for using extra towels even tho its necessary for the floor since water is everywhere.
Anyways, i called booking.com and i was told it would be taken care of and i would get a response within 24 hours.
next day i called again and they told me the best they could do was to give us 10% - 20% refund, since i was already checked in, even tho they agreed the conditions was not acceptable.
let it be known that i havent heard from them in 3 days, so i dont think we will get anything. But thats not the point, hotels were crazy expensive because of the time, so we had to stay.
0/10 for booking.com
0/10 for this apartment
Avoid this scam.

- Lukasz (8/5): Very good - Very cosy and quiet district. Kitchen, washing machine, microwave, fridge really can come in useful especially for those traveling long time. I've read lots of reviews about "great location". Location is nice, because it's quiet, cosy but for me specifically I lacked action there. My mistake, I don't know Tokio. But there was nothing happening around. If quiet and cosy is what you're looking for, then it's just for you. distance to trains isn't that close. The most convenient one, Meguro station, is around 15 min walking with a steep hill up. So be aware you'll need to walk a bit. Also, you'll for sure hear your neighbours but again, that's Japan, you'll have it in most places.
- Ovin (9/5): Good value for money - Great location near Meguro river, 10 min walk from Meguro station (Yamanote Line) and Fudo-mae station, easy check in, good amount of amenities in the room (laundry, extra fresh sheets, extra towels). Good value for money I wish the slippers provided did not have memory foam insoles, and were a non-porous material. It would feel more clean that way. Otherwise it was pretty good. Cleaning supplies and vacuum are provided if you feel you need to clean anything further
- Maddison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jason (10/5): It was great - the location is amazing!!! Couldn’t recommend this place more! The apartment was nice, although some things feel like it’s going to break if I’m not careful, like the bathroom door
- Morten (3/5): Poor - Close to meguro train station. Heated toilet seat. The beds were not very comfortable. The extra sofabed was missing in the room. Only two chairs available.
- Will (10/5): Perfect facilities and exceptional for the price. - Had everything you need, super clean and well equipped even with complimentary toothbrush , paste and washing necessities like shampoo and towels. Crappy but nothing to complain about.
- Daniel (4/5): Disappointing - Good location Can hear other rooms easily, room was dirty initially (had hair everywhere), door frame falling off
- Rodolphe (1/5): Very disappointed. First time ever with booking that there is such mismatch between rating and reality. - Nothing Was ultra small, no third bed contrary to what was committed, instead it was a super thin a dirty matelas to be put next to the refrigerator. Dust and dirt everywhere. Despite paying in advance for 3 nights we had to fly away after the first night. Much better accommodations (comfort, location) available nearby at similar price. As I was expressing dissatisfaction the owners replied in an arrogant manner about the need to for with local custom.
Avoid absolutely.
- William (10/5): Good - Clean
