Guest Reviews
- Joe (8/5): -
- Sinead (4/5): Disappointing - The staff are incredible! Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful & efficient. Access to the pool etc was super easy especially with children Children’s Dining Menu & Quality: We were disappointed by the children's options in the Willow Restaurant. There were no fruit or vegetable options anywhere on the menu. Furthermore, the children's burger we ordered arrived plain on a dry, overcooked bun, making it completely inedible.
Restaurant Booking Disruption: We had booked a table at the Dunes Restaurant for 7:00 PM on Saturday. Upon arrival, we found a private function was taking place. A staff member explained that a private event had run over, but suggested we wait so they could find us a table in the middle of the ongoing party. When I asked if we should just eat at the Willow instead, I was told that was "probably best." We eventually left the Willow at 9:30 PM, relieved we hadn't waited for the Dunes, as the function was still going strong.
Spa Booking and Execution : We booked three treatments: a Hot Stone Massage, an Athletic Deep Tissue Massage, and an Indian Head Massage. Before arriving I received a call stating they didn't have a therapist qualified for those specific treatments, and we agreed to switch to two Swedish Massages and an Indian Head Massage. While the therapist on the day was highly professional and the experience was relaxing, what we received did not resemble a massage of any description.
- Clare (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Ciara (9/5): -
- Kersti (9/5): - Chambre spacieuse, excellent petit déjeuner, possibilité de sauna et piscine comprise. Restaurant sur place. Petit frigo dans la chambre.
- Steffen (10/5): - Phantastisches essen.
Spa top.
Massage sehr fein
Alles noch sehr neue und unverbraucht
- Waldron (10/5): All round great experience exceptional hotel will definitely be going again soon.. - Excellent location very nice staff, food was amazing and very clean the spa was unreal would definitely recommend.. Nothing bad to say
- Roy (7/5): Won't be back - Rooms were nice but the place just seemed unfinished Food,
Looked unfinished
- Jason (10/5): Staff went above and beyond for my girlfriend for her 21st the way the room was presented was out of this world 🙌🙌 -
- Rajska-Garvey (7/5): Better without breakfast - I loved the location and hotel reception. Bed was very comfy and staff were very helpful. Sauna/swimming pool opening hours 8am-8pm, too late for those working during the day. Too early closing time for a relaxing evening wind down.
Breakfast was very poor. Selection was basic. Nuts selection presented near porridge was gone off and stale. Bacon was grey-ish and dry, eggs and pudding dry also. Gluten free scone was hard and gone off.
- Darren (7/5): Enjoyed my short stay, great staff and location. Food was great. - Staff were great, hotel and room were spotless, location is fantastic so close the the beach and nature reserve area/walks. It's new and modern and suffers a bit because of it - there's no atmosphere or character at all; modern hotel with high ceilings and very modern.
- Peter (10/5): - Excellent helpful staff. Spa and pool great Nothing
- Karolina (10/5): -
- Niamh (6/5): -
- Alan (9/5): Lovely n relaxing - Very clean n very comfortable
- Bj (1/5): -
- Deirdre (6/5): - The staff were friendly. The place was clean but lacking in personality. I hated the fake flowers. Some nice pictures on the walls and fresh flowers would help. See above.
- Mary Ann (10/5): Had the most relaxing few days away I’ve ever had everything was first class - The hotel was lovely and very quiet and staff were great spa was fantastic
- Lenka (9/5): New resort - The rooms very extremely comfortable and our daughter really loved the swimming pool (it is quite shallow so not great for swimmers but perfect for relaxation and families with children). The food in the restaurant was delicious but would recommend to book a table in advance as it gets full early. It’s a pity there’s no walking route to the beach.
- Orlaith (3/5): Disappointed - Spa are was really nice There was no sheet on the mattress when we arrived .
The baby travel cot was dirty and mattress was discoloured
Dressing gowns in bedroom soiled
Mattress cover soiled with food
Tonic in bar gone off

- Niamh (5/5): It was satisfactory but not somewhere I’d be rushing to return to. - It was clean and had good car parking facilities. The bar was closed for some reason. The hotel restaurant lacked atmosphere. My fresh haddock certainly wasn’t fresh fresh! Making tea in the room was made by boiling water in a Nespresso machine, something that gave the water heated for tea, a distinct hint of coffee! Also on arrival to the hotel, the receptionist was borderline rude, asking for payment almost immediately, without as much as a please! I wasn’t impressed. Lacking a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
- Ursula (9/5): Great area to visit. . Rooms very comfortable. Staff lovely. Great breakfast - Quiet/peaceful Need umbrellas outside. Veranda.

- Lynn (7/5): - Modern, clean, affordable. Lovely pool. The staff were all superb. Could not fault anyone we encountered. The food at dinner was very disappointing. Lacked flavour and texture. Poor kids menu, only fried options.
- sheena (10/5): - The hotel is located in a beautiful part of the country and when the weather is good it's magnificent. Beautiful long beaches and rolling countryside. The staff were very attentive and doing their utmost to do a good job. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice and plenty of it. Very calm, relaxing place to spent your holidays. Even thou this is a very new, modern hotel the interior isn't. This surprised me a little especially the bathrooms..no walk in showers and very old fashioned and not in a good way! To navigate inside the hotel is very complicated there are doors everywhere and not enough signs. The location of the breakfast room is wierd especially if you're on 1st floor you come out of your room and go to the lift and low and behold it's behind the lift. Many people were wandering around looking for it. The breakfast room is lovely with a fabulous view but the windows are too high up that you can't see it! The position of the hotel and rooms are totally wrong it doesn't make use of the wonderful sea view sadly. I did use the spa which was great and extremely popular with walk ins! I found my way in but was walking around in circles trying to find my way out!! What was the architect thinking?!!! I ate twice in the bar/restaurant the staff were helpful, attentive and friendly but the food sorry to say was mediocre for this calibre of hotel the restaurant is not living up to it. Once the golf court has been completed I'm certain prices will shoot up to the high heavens... The grandiose driveway up to hotel is very impressive but what awaits you inside sadly isn't! One other thing is there are absolutely no signs on any street directing you to the hotel. I came down from Dublin airport so I was a little unsure of the most direct way to the hotel..I crossed my fingers and managed to find it ...accidentally!!
- Denise (10/5): -
- Larry & Christine (2/5): Very poor value, staff have a lot to learn. - Nothing will not be coming back This hotel is a very bad design, restaurant very cold, no place to sit in comfort.
- Danielle (4/5): Very poor no atmosphere food very overpriced - Rooms were lovely and comfortable Staff were not very welcoming
No atmosphere at all
Food very over priced
Won't be back
- Denise (7/5): Fabulous hotel ! Just needs an injection of personality - Been a few times! Staff very helpful and nice! Rooms very comfortable! Spa lovely! Looking forward to the golf course opening Very boring in the evenings. No comfortable seating in bar and no entertainment or atmosphere
- John (10/5): -
- Jonathan (7/5): Not Bad - Location was good The F&B lady supervisor was so rude and didn’t look after us well. She was laughing and serving others we will felt like we were not one them. We came here for holidays and to relax . This made our stay very bad. Never coming back.
- Adriana (8/5): -
- Mary (10/5): It is a haven of relaxation and beautiful scenery. Thanks - Spacious, well designed and relaxing. I would prefer a kettle in the room for making tea.
- David (8/5): -
- Eoin (10/5): - Fabulous location
- Martin (10/5): -
- Evie (10/5): Very nice staff really helpful over all amazing - The structure of the building made it look like very luxurious loved the elevator straight from rooms too spa Layout of the restaurant felt to close to people beside us and more food selection on menu
- Chris (10/5): -
- Simon (10/5): -
- louise (10/5): -
- Gary (7/5): - Food Spa was very basic
- Karl (9/5): -
- Luke (10/5): Fabulous mid-week getaway - Everything Nothing
- Hendrikus (7/5): Midweek stay at the ravenport Resort. 9 - Very pleasant and helpfull staf, good breakfast and nice leisure and pool facilities. As the resort is still under construction of a golfcourse, there was nowhere really nice to walk at resort grounds, except for driving to the beach then with was a mile away.
- Kenneth (7/5): Pleasant & enjoyable - Newness and modern The restaurant drinks were overpriced
- Frances (10/5): Great place - The location was lovely. The hotel room was spacious and clean. The spa was class. Nothing
- Graham (9/5): Worth a visit - Excellent facilities and staff As above
- Aileen (8/5): Had a great time. Staff were wonderful - Lovely property. Spotless .. Lacked a Lille atmosphere.
- Peter (6/5): - De ruimte De slecht gesitueerde badkamer
- Nigel (8/5): Great othercthan the tv. - Breakfast was excellent, Staff were also excellent the only criticism that I would have was that the tv came on when you entered the door card, I found
it very very annoying. Why was it set like that?
otherwise the room was also excellent. Tv coming on all the time.

- Keith (9/5): Would certainly stay there again as the room was fantastic. - Room was excellent, very large, comfortable bed and even a coffee machine. Breakfast was OK and dinner was fine. Quality of hotel and room amazing for price paid. Breakfast sausages were very salty. Cooked elements were basically fine.
- Wilbert (10/5): Just a couple of nights away - Absolutely everything, beautiful new and fresh hotel, bright and airy room, friendly and helpful staff, brilliant breakfast and the restaurant food was lovely, exceptional value for money, and set in a gorgeous setting with great views, quite and peaceful, can't wait to visit again Nothing, everything perfect
- Philip (8/5): -
- Clare (10/5): Highly recommended - Luxurious hotel in a beautiful setting, rooms on the ground floor very good for anyone with mobility issues. Food is lovely, and allergies catered for without any difficulty. Highly recommended. A little bit pricey for April.

- Tetiana (10/5): - very quiet and cozy hotel.I still plan to come back here. very quiet and cozy hotel
- Darren (6/5): While I felt over priced currently it’s still a nice modern hotel with great staff. - Fantastic modern hotel nice food and staff Still not finished and a bit pricey for what’s available in location.
- SUSAN (10/5): Great stop, wish we stayed for longer. - Lovely choice forbreakfast.
Excellent evening meal.
Very very comfortable bed, best nights sleep in a long time.

- Mary (10/5): - From check in to check out everything was fabulous. Staff were so friendly and off hand. Beautiful spacious room and bed was divine. The food was top class and of fine dining quality. When I saw that breakfast was buffet didn't expect much however the quality of ingredients was so good. All food was piping hot. Breakfast surpassed a la carte breakfasts I've received in 5 star establishments. Booked for another stay the minute we left.
- Miriam (7/5): - Staff, Spa especially Laura very friendly and sincere with excellent knowledge and advice her skills were wonderful also. The restaurant food was beautiful as was the breakfast. The room heating controls were difficult to manage working then not working and tge bathroom radiator would not work for us. No drawers or laundry bag so we kept our underwear in our suitcases.
- Perrine (10/5): - Le petit déjeuner était incroyable Le spa est assez petit mais fait l'affaire
- Mann (8/5): -
- John (10/5): -
- COLETTE (8/5): -
- richard (7/5): It was a nice stay - The leisure centre Pillows are very uncomfortable
- Paula (8/5): Ravenport is a in a beautiful location, staff are excellent. Well worth a visit and I will be back during summer months - Beautiful location and scenery No lounge facilities for drinks
- Caroline (9/5): - A lovely location near the beach, plenty of car parking spaces. The staff was helpful and friendly dinner and breakfast excellent and we had a lovely spacious room The restaurant and bar were combined.
- Forrester (8/5): Enjoyed our stay. Would happily stay again. -
- Kerry (6/5): Lovely room - great potential but needs attention so detail and train staff to anticipate needs a little better of guest - It cc was lovely and new - open and airy. Bedrooms were spacious and warm with great bathroom and coffee machine We were held up because the blockages at the port. I asked reception if we could put back our dinner reservation 15 mins so we could shower and change but they said no! Disappointing. My food was only average as my garlic bread was rock hard and pasta no taste sadly. Drinks came after food. The sheet also didn’t fit the bed - too short at sides so didn’t tuck in and the mattress was stained. 😞
- Meyer3660 (10/5): - Beautiful new facility with spacious rooms. I had a brief stay and was not able to take advantage of spa and pool options which I am sure were to the same standards as the room. Norhing
- Eoghan (9/5): -
- Gerard (9/5): -
- Ryan (10/5): -
- Ruaidhri (7/5): Beautiful rooms in lovely location but WiFi not workable - Clean spacious rooms, beautiful views in dining room, lovely grounds, plenty of parking, short drive from beautiful beach, staff are very nice, powerful air conditioning Wifi was horrific - slow and kept cutting out from my room - thankfully I wasn't on a business trip or it would have been a disaster. They should have invested a bit more in size of swimming pool but was fine.
- Caroline (8/5): I’ll be back - Location is stunning, food was very good. Menu is a bit limited though need more bar food options and starters
But great chef food was pipping hot and quality
Bedrooms very clean but noticed a stain on brand new curtains which should be cleaned
Linen lovely staff friendly but bar man was rude to other staff which is unfortunate
Pool fabulous and steam and sauna nice
It’s a very quiet hotel which I enjoyed kids found it boring but beach is only down the road.
A walk/path would be great to get to beach
Overall I’ll be booking again it’s a great hotel See above

- Xavier (10/5): The perfect runaway - It’s a place to relax. The bedroom and the staff were very nice. We missed a bath.
- Rebecca (10/5): Amazing - Everything was perfect. The pools area was great! The food was lovely Nothing
- Deirdre (9/5): Ok, but service would put me off going back - Facilities were good. Food was OK. Room was a little dirty, hadn't been hoovered properly. Service in the restaurant was terrible. We were finished our starter before drinks arrived. Main course arrived OK, but we had to wait a long time to order desert. We gave up waiting to pay and went to the bar to pay.
- Susan (8/5): Nice hotel but extremely quiet - The room and the food was excellent Did not like that there wasn’t a separate bar from restaurant that u could relax
- Amybc (7/5): -
- Isabel (10/5): -
- Andrea (10/5): - Excellent service
- Fiona (9/5): Will definitely be back - The newness and staff were all so friendly Looking at car park
- Jacqui (7/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay but I feel they have a few wrinkles to iron out before I would give them 10 out of 10 - Very comfortable and bright modern room, leisure centre with pool which was very well equipped and very clean, lovely breakfast with plenty of choice Lacked a bit of atmosphere, staff in restaurant were lovely, staff on reception had a bit of a laissez faire take it or leave it attitude,we stayed on Sunday night and had dinner in the restaurant that evening, the food was ok however it was not piping hot and as it was served to us exceptionally fast from point of ordering we did suspect it was perhaps served from a carvery
