If you’re visiting Siem Reap and looking for some - I stayed at The Cheata Residence for a week in March 2026 and ended up extending my stay because I enjoyed it so much. The accommodation was excellent. My room was huge and had a balcony overlooking the beautiful swimming pool, which made it a really relaxing place to stay. The shower was powerful and the bed was large and extremely comfortable—exactly what you want after a long day exploring. Breakfast each morning was fantastic and included in the price, which made the stay even better value for money. What really made the experience special, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, always smiling, and genuinely welcoming throughout my stay. A special mention must also go to the manager, who was absolutely fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help. From arranging transport and trips to offering recommendations and helping organise my onward travel, the level of care and service was exceptional. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this property more highly. If you’re visiting Siem Reap and looking for somewhere comfortable, relaxing, and great value with wonderful staff, this is a fantastic place to stay. I would happily return. Perfect for travellers who want a peaceful, comfortable place to stay while exploring Siem Reap and the temples nearby. Nothing.

The rooms were incredibly spacious, clean, and very comfortable — it truly felt like a peaceful retreat after long days exploring the temples of Angkor Wat. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, perfect for relaxing. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile, which made the experience even more special. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with plenty of options — fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the day. If you’re visiting Siem Reap, I highly recommend staying here. Die Anlage ist sehr schön, familiär und sauber Das Frühstück als Buffet, wie teilweise auf der Homepage dargestellt, existiert nicht. 5 Tage lang nur kaltes Wasser zum Duschen gehabt. Und ein Gym, wie angegeben auf der Homepage existiert zwar, ist aber leider ein Witz. Kann man nicht beschreiben, muss man gesehen haben.

Ivan (4/5): The staffs were friendly and helpful. But, it was a was a disappointing. stay. - In general the staffs were friendly, and the owners, as well. Location was outside the city, but if you're driving, it's ok. There was lack of maintenance in the building and facilities. The swimming pool water had not been cleaned, and chemically treated. There were algae formation. The water tank at the top floor was full of algae. Experienced itches on body after the first night of stay. The fitness center comprised of a few pieces of old equipment which required repair or replacement. The water served at the poolside restaurant was likely ground water, with unpleasant taste - they should install a water purifier. For drinking water, only bottled water should be served.

I appreciated the quiet of the location being slightly outside the City but only a short taxi journey away. It's a beautifully built hotel with a calm oasis feel. I ate at the restaurant daily and enjoyed breakfasts and evening meals: fresh and well cooked. Really comfortable room with a huge bed and quality linens. Good sized balcony overlooking the prettily decorated pool. I really loved my stay here and hope to come back.

The bed was very comfortable. Fresh water bottles every day. It’s quiet. The pool area is nice. Massage in spa room was wonderful. Staff was very nice despite limited English. Quite far from the center. We had to run the water for about 7 minutes to get any hot water. Staff spoke limited English. Breakfast was served and so-so. Not much around for food options and the kitchen has limited hours.

Bongji (2/5): catastrophic - Surprisingly I did not get sick. • lizard feces in bed • dead insects in bed • dirty bedsheets (yellow stains) • dirty towels • broken showerhead • mold in the fridge • murky and smelling pool water • no breakfast buffet (like advertised on the site) • half a glass of orange juice for breakfast (how stingy can you be) • no fitness center (like advertised on the site) • pre-booked dinner was microwaved (every night) • sometimes tiny portions • noisy in the night, noisy in the morning (despite promoting this accomodation as so quiet and perfectly for relaxing) • broken AC and the staff refused to fix it nor change my room (they insisted for 2 days to "just wait 5 minutes") • staff enters hotel room at 07:00 am (probably thinking I wasn't there), theft attempt? - Management unfortunately didn't want to solve the issue.

Misaki (9/5): Wonderful - The room I stayed was large as very comfort bed with cooling aircon, everything are provided during the stay from toiletry to hair dryer. Not to mention the smart key to unlock and smart key to access the electricity in the room. Although there’s some smal stain on the pillow sheet, but hey everything else are all on point including the balcony it’s pool view, separete toilet from bathroom. Overall I love my stay. Thank you all staff and bong Lok for the kind guesture and the man who offer me water.

My basic room what i booked is double room one big bed, but my fiend said, we would need two separated bed. We talk with staff at the front desk they provide me same rate and offer us with a suite one, That's really great. We have a trip to see angkor wat in the late afternoon. we went to many temples, but we lose to visit taprom temple is the best popular one, because we can not enter in the very late evening, the guardsman said we on the time to closed this entry. Hyon (10/5): Extremely Hotel Hidden from the town. - I have a nice stay with friend in cheata residence. there is a quiet room for relaxing, I back from my meeting in morning and rest at the pool side, I have my good lunch time, great food to eat here. it's a bit far away from the downtown, but not a problem any way, have a tuktuk and comfortable way to reach the town just about 10 minute. And the end, i am really love staff, rooms, and food. Thank you so much for make me a comfort stay.

Seriously? 3rd- he then tells me i cant have the room i booked WEEKS in advanced and then tries to put me in a different suite with out offering me the difference in what I ALREADY PAID! 4th- at this poing ive decided i will not stay here, and the gentleman behind the front desks says hell refund me. I made the reservation through bookin.com and this a-hole refused to accept the refund request! Ive reached out multiple times and now have to fight the charge on my credit card. And honestly the location is horrible its no where near the city center my new hotel ended up being 1000x better. I cant believe they would treat their guests like this, it absolutely horrible!

Lydia (7/5): Beautiful place but could use some improvement - The room was so spacious and clean when we got there. The room has a separate shower and toilet space and in the middle of that a sink. I believe every room has view on the pool. The pool was great, we enjoyed swimming in it! The staff was helpful and kind. There was a lack of service which probably had to do with staff shortage. One time, we could eat lunch at the restaurant, but another day we couldn't. There was no good communication with the guests regarding this. The breakfast was nice, but one day some things which were on the menu were missing when we got our plates, apparantly because we ate late, because the next morning they did have it. We had to wait quite long before we could check out, and a mistake had been made with the bill, which was that the lunch was almost twice as much as said on the menu. We eventually paid the amount on the menu so that went well. The location is not very good, as it is outside the center where all the hotspots are and where you can find good restaurants. As the restaurant in the hotel was not open often, we had to get a TukTuk or motorbike to get to a restaurant. Hiring a motorbike is more expensive than in other places, and laundry is also very expensive.

The shuttle from the airport was a nice touch too! everything very cheap including drinks which were nice by the pool and we practically had the place to ourselves. the staff are definitely what makes this hotel. The food was very average, didn’t have a lot of the items listed on the menu or the food would come out differently. also the gym is poor we didn’t use it. location wasn’t the best quite far out from everything but none of these things would stop me staying again.

Luxurious, big, modern, comfortable apartments, cleaning Service, breakfast, 5 star swimmingpool, sauna. Whats not to like? Everyone should make this pleasure for themselves and visit this gem. Far from downtown? Not really. 10 minutes by tuk tuk and its 2-2.5$ through grab app. For the price which could not even cover AC in lousy room in City Center You can have a Palace in Cheata Residence.

Andrea (8/5): Chill residence outside of the city - We really liked the large bedroom, the appearance and style of the residence which is faithful to the pictures, and the silent and chill location. Very relaxing! We probably arrived during a slow restart of business operations after pandemic restrictions. Hot water is not very reliable (we did not understand if the issue is because it is warmed up by solar panel, or anything else). Internet sometimes is fast, and sometimes crashes every few seconds, not stable enough for calls (there is mobile internet coverage, but not all operators are good). Sometimes difficult communication with the members of the staff, but in general they are always available for help and do their best. Location is isolated from the city center, but still reachable with tuk-tuk for little money in about 15 minutes. Extra services may have much higher prices compared to the rest of the city (e.g. laundry, spa and massages).
