The walking track right next to house meant some morning walking. Unfortunately, I stayed on a particularly hot night and while there is a air circulation system evident, I did struggle to get to sleep.

Highly recommended accommodation. - In a picturesque location, this immaculate house is ideally situated at the end of a quiet, no-through road, yet just a few minutes drive from a large shopping precinct. The house is warm and welcoming. The owners have managed to create a home with a feel of a little piece of Africa. The room I stayed in, 'Twiga' was upstairs, at the front of the house. Very clean, spacious, light and airy. The bed was huge and comfortable. The ensuite shower had great and stable pressure. Even the provided towels were a really good size! Couldn't fault the large selection of toiletries and choices of teas and coffees. Bottled water and plenty of milk available (unlike many other places). Heaps of hanging space for those requiring a longer stay. The owners, Joe and Anastasia went above and beyond to make my stay as customised and comfortable as possible. Overall, I had a very good experience that was great value for money. Highly recommended accommodation. Unfortunately, there was no door to the ensuite. Not a problem for me travelling alone, but I could imagine that this may potentially be a privacy issue for couples.

• Rebecca (6/5): Large African home stay - Joseph and Anastasia are lovely African hosts. The large room, amenities and facilities are of a great standard and clean. The bed was very comfortable and large. The room gets made up daily similar to a hotel. Complimentary water, milk, tea and coffee are on offer. Location is a quiet residential estate with wetlands views. A huge house. Noise can be heard from downstairs at night when sleeping as there are no doors to block sound. Shared upstairs living area with 1 microwave and 1 TV with all other guests in bedrooms with ensuites not the home owners. Drying clothes is a lengthy process as no balcony or drying area in your space. So downstairs to private areas and garden area is a little confusing and private homeowners. This includes access to laundry and garden. Aircon is ducted. So if one guest wants it on and another doesn't, including home owner it doesn't get put on or switched off in a timely manner.

• Helen (6/5): No privacy. - The location is great. And the bed is big and comfortable. The hosts told us to take off our shoes upon arrival. The 2nd day they told us we have to leave the premises as they have a house viewing. We were told to leave the house for 30mins and come back later . There is no privacy as the hosts live in the same house. Under the bed there was visible dirt, a can of pringles and an empty water bottle, probably from previous guests. There is no stove, and no kitchen sink too.

• Keith (5/5): The price was low but a few things need attention before I would return. - The location was great, good parking in a quiet area. We found that the place could be cleaned better. We found hair in the shower and a much needed cleaning required in the bathroom near the toilet and also the basin. The bed sheet was in place in a way that made us suspect that the sheet hadn’t been replaced since the previous occupant.
• Geraldine (8/5): Peaceful overnighter - One if the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Joe was very accommodating and helpful and made me feel very welcome. The stairs were quite steep and could be a problem if the guests were unsteady on their feet.
• Kathryn (5/5): Filthy bathroom, lovely people - Lovely hosts, you are staying upstairs in their home . Easy to find and good location. Unfortunately the room had not been cleaned in between guests. I got in late at night and cleaned the mirror and sink. In the daylight urine and hair was visible on the cream tiles around the toilet and the shower had clearly not been cleaned for a long time. Had I seen this upon arrival I would not have stayed. I was also asked to move my car sometime after arriving. I had parked on the street with unrestricted parking, but the neighbours had complained. Given I had just driven 10 hours and was in bed in my pj’s by that time it was an inconvenience.
• Loubielou66 (9/5): A quiet place to stay - The location was in a very quiet area, which was great. The takeaway spots were about 10 minutes away, so it was not too far to go. It was a very warm day, so it was great to find cold bottles of water in the mini fridge. We couldn't feel if the air conditioning was on, but there was an upright fan in the room. We moved that over to the bed and had that going all night, which was sufficient.

Sometimes I found bit of dirt on floor carpets (probably cleaner may have done a rush job) but bathroom was spotless clean

Small comforts such as coffee, water, milk, tea and fruit made my stay even more special. Lovely bed linen. Beautiful morning and evening walks in the area. Thank you! Nothing really. A great stay!

• Warrengday (9/5): A sensational big room on edge of city. - This place is close to immaculate, and close to the SE edge of Melbourne. The photos don't do it justice, the bedroom is lovely, the ensuite is flawless, there is also a huge walk-in wardrobe. There is also a small fridge and a table filled with several pieces of fresh fruit, many teas (try the Purple teas), both instant and several lovely coffees. This place is near perfect, in two corners of the shower the grouting could have been done neater. I wanted this place to both get away from it all and do some work: there is a table in the corridor between bedroom and walk-in; this table is clearly very old, small, cheap and marked. There are also some large marks on the wall around the area of the walk-in.

• Don (10/5): Winter night stay near the Botanic Gardens. - A newish house with large bedroom and bathroom with a lounge room shared with other guests - we had it to ourselves. A very quiet location but easy access to major roads. No door between bedroom and bathroom. Owner is addressing this. No breakfast and limited food facilities. We breakfasted at the excellent cafe at the nearby Botanic Gardens.

Very clean accommodation, decent size soap and top quality shampoo and conditioner. The host is a very friendly pleasant man, well mannered, he made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone that is looking for a awesome comfortable stay...definitely a 5 star place. I would stay there again 😃😃😃😃😃 The stairs were a bit steep for me, so I'm not sure if they have downstairs accommodation.
