- Deborah (8/5): -
- Katie (10/5): Amazing little caravan it was perfect for 2 nights with 2 children we had a lovely time and would definitely stay again. -
- Dawn (1/5): - I liked that we were able to move to another caravan. Caravan was not fit to stay in... the smell was unbearable... Clarech bay needs tidying up looks very rough... Won't be staying again š
- ian (6/5): - Friendly staff, nice to have beach very close , caravan plot , good size, In caravan Good use of space, layout of rooms, en suite bathroom Access was an issue as Door lock mechanism very stiff
opening, closing and locking was an issue, en suite shower could only be used if holding shower in hand as shower riser could not hold weight of shower head, main shower tray would fill to top as drained very slowly so had to turn shower off and on several times to avoid flooding bathroom whilst taking a shower . No hot water or heating no answer when called reception number and no guidance/in structions for out of hour issues
had to check boiler myself to find system had Zero pressure , error code F1 so had to pressurise system and reset system myself.
- Marta (8/5): - Great location
Quiet area.
Great caravan General cleaning wasn't done.
Toilets,shower,surfaces wasn't cleaned,floor not cleaned.
And some areas was really bad smell of pets.
- pugh (9/5): Lovely little caravan thankyou for making our stay easy and relaxing - Caravan was clean and tidy beds made on arrival
- Robert (9/5): - Great location, had what we needed. Was 5 minute walk to club, 8 minutes to beach. Spot on I get why its done, but heating only stays on for 2 hours so we woke up very cold in the morning. Take pyjamas and a spare blanket. Otherwise no complaints.
- Mo (1/5): We would not recommend this property to anybody first of all we could not locate the property took us three hours to loc - The property was very different to what was shown on the advertise. It was very dirty put bedbugs no hot water no heating and very filthy.
No health and safety check and the last time the gas certificate on the boiler was serviced was 2019
- Malgorzata (3/5): - Decking Zapach sofa carpet
- Sally (7/5): Very enjoyable - Good communication with host Struggled to open door once locked from inside
- Alison (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): -
- David (10/5): -
- Linda (1/5): Worst experience ever, shall never book with these again.Dont think youāre getting the van in the photoās because youāre - Nothing, the caravan in these pictures is not the one you get. Donāt be fooled by these people, this is false advertising and Iāve contacted trading standards to get a refund. We stayed for 7 hours then came home. We had booked Monday to Friday. The caravan was not the one advertised on here. The one we had was behind the club house, didnāt have decking and was dirty inside and out. We were also next to the family from Hell that threw every fag end onto the grass, there were carling cans, rubbish, food, clothes, toys everywhere outside it was disgusting. There was no where to sit outside, not that we wanted to because it was disgusting. The key wasnāt in the lock up box we had to wait for someone to bring one, then you get covered in black stuff trying to get the key out. There was a black hair and food in the door of the fridge. When we complained they came up with a load of lies like we hadnāt checked in, we hadnāt checked the dog in or mentioned his breed when he is not a banned breed and no where does it say to do this anyway.
They said there was sand in the caravan off the dogs feet. We never went on the beach and how you think sand is going to stay on his feet on the walk back is laughable. I suggest you have a word with your cleaner as it was probably from the previous guests.
- Shakhawan (1/5): Never go againg ruber - No thing at all Everything my deposit all gone we lift the property clean and not damage at all and we should leave at 10am i try to get in touch with owner called him
Many time didnāt answer my call and my messages until 2 days after he had some pictures from others caravan or an older picture they used for taking my deposit never go again.
- Martin (10/5): -
- Sophie (8/5): Perfect - I hadn't stayed at a caravan before, so wasn't quite sure on the protocol for getting to the caravan. After going to the wonderfully helpful reception I was told (was also given a map) to help find designated caravan. Upon arrival the lockbox was easy to use!
- Richard (7/5): We had a fantastic comfortable stay in a great location - Considering we booked it last minute we found it excellent couldn't have asked for any better N/A
- Lauren (6/5): A wonderful time in fairly priced accommodation, it really just needs a proper clean. - The location was absolutely fantastic, I stayed here as a child and absolutely loved it and it was so special to bring my baby daughter, husband and dog for a nice break. A wonderful base for exploring the area, handy parking situation and lots of convenient amenities nearby. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the caravan didn't meet our expectations, it hadn't been cleaned properly before our arrival however once we were settled we made do and I cleaned myself so I was comfortable.
The travel cot provided was also broken which I informed the host about but didn't receive a reply- fortunately we were able to sort a safe sleeping situation but this really needs sorting we were lucky to find an alternative. Everything was in working order and it didn't impact our stay but there is an expectation for the accommodation to be clean upon arrival.
- Samantha (8/5): -
- Deanna (5/5): Was okay! - Lovely position and site The accommodation was looking a little tired in need of
Decoration
- HS (7/5): - Everything was clean and very tidy. It had all the necessary kitchen things. A little welcome basket of teabags, coffee, and milk in the fridge...would have been wonderful. Or info about nearest shop. We arrived around 10pm, unfortunately due to traffic problems. We found the property with the help of others. An online map would have saved lots of time. Then we couldn't find the keys safe. It was not obvious. Again, info about its location with the key safe number would have been useful.
A little booklet on how to operate the heating and fireplace, also would have been appreciated.
We had to make our own beds, using very screwed up bedding.
- Tania A Jones (9/5): -
- Laura (7/5): Had a fab time, we arenāt too fussy and it had everything we needed. Also got an upgrade which was amazing. - Location, size, left essentials we may need. Could be cleaner, hairs on bedding and floors dirty.
- Tom (4/5): - Location Grubby.
- Ransford (8/5): - Clubhouse, swimming pool & beach Would have liked to be abit nearer amenities but not major issue
- Gemma (9/5): - Location
- Suzanne (6/5): -
- T Morris (8/5): very good, would stay again - the ease to get to the caravan was great, I only needed to visit reception as we had decided to buy the entertainment bands, otherwise we would not have had to do that. Although we bought the entertainment bands we didn't realise that everything would be closed other than the pub onsite. had we been told this we would not have bought them as we didn't use it
- Lyn (10/5): -
- hazel (10/5): - The van was bigger than what we ave ever had I no there signs but decking very very slippery when wet
- Emma (6/5): - The facilities are ok and surrounding area is good The caravan was dated not very clean and the decking needs replacing as some of the panels are damaged and the whole caravan looks tired
- Linda (6/5): -
- Louise (10/5): Great caravan, lovely place, helpful people - Comfortable, warm shower, nice deck area Some info on where to put the rubbish bins would be useful.
- Geoff (7/5): Fantastic holiday for young families not so great for older teenagers. Food choices were fantastic (hunters pizza very g - Location Old and tired
- jayne (8/5): - Close to everything. It did say on your site there was bowling and outside pool but there wasn't.
- Kelly (9/5): -
- rachel (7/5): Lovely relaxing time. Caravan needs a good spring clean and replacement or fixing of things. - Location walk away from the beach, small decking area. Cleanliness of caravan. Roller blinds in kitchen area and bathroom were disgustingly dirty with brown marks and stains and canāt be hygienic š¤¢. Air vent covered in dust in the bedroom, chocolate wrappers under the bed in the small bedroom, greasy frying pan and some cutlery was unclean. I felt I needed to clean everything before using it. Two slats need replacing on decking as they are splintering and worn. Decking chair back rest broken on one side so wonāt support your back properly. Door catch to hold caravan door open is broken and door keeps shutting constantly if you want it open. Could do with some blinds up at windows not just curtains as not much privacy when curtains open. I expected a higher quality of accommodation which didnāt reflect the price I payed.
- Kara (8/5): -
- Mariola (10/5): -
- Sophie (3/5): - the location it wasnāt clean, hair in the shower, floor very dirty, sofa smelt funny
- Christine (10/5): The family enjoyed our little break and would definitely book with you again - It was clean, functional, and everything I would expect with a little extra to keep little ones occupied. Nothing
- Gigi (2/5): -
- Gibbons (5/5): - Seaview and general good up keep of the park. Very helpful owners of caravan. Was sure I'd booked a 3 bedroom caravan, arrived to find only 2 bedrooms.
Treated like a second class guest due to having a sublet caravan and not one of there's, ie charging extra for swimming etc.
Not allowed to have pushchairs at the table in the club, never been a problem at other sites.
- Claire (10/5): Amazing stay lovely caravan beautiful area - Very nice Nothing
- Julia (10/5): Fabulous views, very peaceful, our 1st stay in caravan family of 4 ! Host is very helpful & replies quickly. Caravan - Posh Caravan in the great seaside location, fully equipped for your needs. Canāt think of anything, everything was perfect
- Guest (6/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): A beautiful area for a lovely relaxing break. - We just wanted a short relaxing break and this property gave us all we needed. It was easy to get to from our location and the drive was very scenic. The Static Caravan we stayed in was only a short walk to the beach. We had our dog with us and she loved it too. The park facilities were adequate for us and they had some good take-away food. The caravan was very well equipped and was very comfortable. There was no tin opener but I don't think this was the owners fault. I think there was one before and perhaps someone took it.
- Irfan Ali (8/5): - My overall experience was good. Everything was good, but the bedding was not clean. I recommend that it be washed after every use for other visitors. Thanks
- Malgorzata (10/5): Polecam. - All
- Ovidiu (10/5): - The caravan was very clean and cosy Shower
- Dave (2/5): 1 Grubby, dilapidated, caravan in otherwise delightful British seaside surroundings! - Proximity to beach, shops and leisure facilities Ok. It was a last minute booking, at peak Holiday season, but at £170 for one night, I was expecting a decent caravan.
It was falling apart. Wallpaper falling off, window locks broken, and generally Grubby!
I woke in the morning with some sort of bites on my arms and legs.
I couldnāt get my children out of there quick enough!
I stripped the beds before I left, as I couldnāt be certain the bedding had been changed since the last occupancy. What was beneath was pretty gross too!
Iām still not certain how this booking was managed. Whoās in charge of cleaning and maintenance? The rest of the park was a mixture of new smart vans and some obviously dilapidated chalets and vans.
The reviews of this accommodation do not match our experience so I assume bookings are allocated, but this was number 136. An absolute hole!!
- Rashid Hafeez (6/5): -
- Parker (9/5): - Beautiful location very clean wished we had more than one night Nothing accept rain
- Leilah (8/5): -
- razz (10/5): - A very nice and tidy cabin. Just a 5-minute walking distance from the beach. More than Everything in there in the kitchen.
Just bring your towel for the shower and hand washes.
The host is 100 out of 100.
Very quick response to any questions you ask. Very helpful person. Gave us 2 hours extra for check out as I requested for only an hour.
Thank you Great Cabin. Feel like home but
I would only add 3 things if possible.
A hairdryer.
An iron.
Nd
Towels for the washroom.
Thanks
- Jo (8/5): A lovely place to stay for a few days break. - Good location and facilities, friendly environment and comfortable, well equipped accomodation. Good communication with the owners. A short walk to the beach and food outlets. We were a bit out of season (June) but imagine it is thriving in the summer. The accommodation is due a very minor refurb - e.g. a few handles missing etc, but it did not detract from our stay or our comfort.
The swimming pool closed really early.
- Isla (10/5): Stayed in the caravan to visit family in the area. Beautiful location would definitely come again or recommend. - Lovely caravan had all the facilities. Beautiful location
- Carly (8/5): Cosy for a short family trip. - To start, we were upgraded to a platinum caravan, which was a lovely surprise. Owners made good communication. Finding the plot was a little challenging, but the staff at Clarach Bay reception were more than helpful.
The amenities on site were good with a small shop, a place to eat throughout the day and a little amusement area for the kids, as well as a few play areas dotted around the site. We also enjoyed a dip in the swimming pool, which was a small fee to enter.
The caravan itself was spacious and comfortable with all the necessary amenities and information provided for your stay. The parking space provided on the plot was also great for packing/unpacking. I would suggest the owners stay themselves for a couple of nights so that they can see where things require fixing or improvement. The cot provided isn't in the best condition. The shower attachment in the main bathroom is loose, and there is a light bulb that needs replacing. There unfortunately wasn't access to any streaming services, just basic TV channels. I also left a dish sponge as the one provided was falling to bits, and it was a good job we took our own washing up liquid as there wasn't any available.
- Pam n Martin (10/5): Perfect stay .caravan in amazing location and lovely and clean.hosts was brilliant. - Sea view lovely location
- mrs (4/5): - Caravan facilities especially the dirty bedding and damaged interior plus stained and dirty shower unusable I did message the owners they seemed uninterested in putting this right just asked us to curtail our trip Dirty and ripped bedding unusable wardrobe stuffed with dirty bedding shower tray dirty shower riser dirty rusty loo roll holder no toilet paper and not told to bring any either
- Vaughan (10/5): Can't wait to stay there again. - Not one thing I can fault lovely caravan even though the Owner was on message and call she was friendly and easy to talk too. The caravan was beautiful set out. Nothing at all.
- Steph (10/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): - Thoughly enjoyed our stay good facilities the kids had a ball have booked another week in Aug The only thing was the person in the chipshop was not friendly or helpful, I felt he was abrupt and rude so we didn't use it again, I'm sorry I don't usually moan about people but that's how I found him
- Syeda (10/5): -
- Josh (5/5): Great price and stay. Just small issues nothing major - The shower was amazing beds where comftable. No noise. Owner let us check in early. Very easy communication. Price was amazing Table where everyone eats you sank because there was no wood under them. The board games where all missing parts. The doors where very sharped edged. Toilet was very tight squeeze.
- Richard (8/5): -
- Diego Henrique (1/5): Terrible experience - The caravan was in an unfit state when we arrived. One of the beds had a yellow, crusted stain on the sheets and hair all over the sheets and pillows. As it was late when we arrived this was rectified the next day with new sheets being delivered. Glasses in the cupboards had also obviously not been cleaned as there were lip marks on them. When we moved beds in the other room on check out, there was a BROKEN GLASS underneath the bed our 3yo had slept in for 2 nights... We notified the owner who didn't even have the decency to reply, (I can only assume this was due to not wanting to accept any blame).
I honestly don't think it's completely the owner's fault, and as the caravan had some lovely touches and well-thought out additions, (lots of great info about the area, games for rainy days etc), but whoever has been tasked with cleaning should be ashamed of themselves - the state of the place wasn't just unacceptable, but dangerous.
- Gareth (10/5): -
- Zoe (8/5): - This location is so idyllic. Was only there for one night to visit relatives in town. Had been many years ago for a holiday so knew the site and beach. So peaceful. Caravan access was simple with excellent communications from host. Very comfortable caravan with good facilities.
- Sonia (5/5): Nice for a short break - The caravan was in a nice location had great views The cooking facilities need updating. Tv was not a smart one therefore unable to access tv streaming. No DVD player. The WiFi was intermittent
- Zimba (9/5): -
- Girtss (1/5): -
- Samantha (10/5): Fantastic stay - Great caravan park, not far from the university which we were visiting. Got a free upgrade and the van we stayed in was absolutely beautiful, the views were gorgeous from the decking, wish we could have stayed longer!
- Stacey (9/5): Lovely night away. - Last minute get away. Great value for money. Will be booking again as soon as we can.
- Vera (7/5): - Not impressed with the heating, not very warm. No welcome book or information
- Sharon (10/5): -
- rajermyn (8/5): - The site was difficult to navigate as I was looking for Sea View Caravans - so there was some early confusion but the host was instantly responsive and a great help in finding our spot.
The spot is lovely and well situated.
The accommodation is basic but perfectly adequate , warm and clean.
- Paul (10/5): -
- Colin (10/5): Superb - Itās a great park and the accommodation was brilliant.
- Lisa (10/5): It was a lovely stay. Very cosy. Plenty big enough for the 6 of us. -
- Daniel (8/5): Very good stay - Plenty of space in the caravan and everything seemed very clean. The caravan is a short drive away from Aberystwyth and other sites that we wanted to visit such as the Devil's Bridge and Waterfalls. It suited me and my friend perfectly for somewhere to sleep for the night and also where we could cook a pizza. I will would definitely book again. Communication with the owner was very good and directions were extremely helpful. The twin beds in the second bedroom were a bit short for me, I'm 6'1'' and my feet were up against the radiator! Probably better suited to kids and smaller people, I just didn't want to share the main bedroom with my friend. It was a little cold due to the weather and it was a bit frustrating that the heating would only turn on for 2 hours at a time. An instruction book/welcome guide would have been helpful.
- Roy (5/5): -
- Richard (10/5): -
- John (1/5): Smelly and bad repair - As reported smelly and in bad repaira
- Philip (7/5): Nice but not what we booked. - We were given a 'free upgrade' which was a nice touch, the place was spacious, generally clean and well stocked. Also, quiet. 1. Had to open all of the windows when arrived as too hot and couldn't work out how to turn heating down. Turned off at source in end. 2. Lager and tea glasses DIRTY (photos taken) so had to clean. 3.Specifically booked a sea view and place with a sofa bed due to health. We were at the farthest end of site so nowhere near sea, NO sofa bed so slept on sofa. Room for kids had kid single beds in a very uncomfortable so not an option. 4. Zero instructions for anything ( and 4 remotes) so no sat . tv...we do not have this at home so no clue. Assumptions were made and have asked for instructions. 5. Husbands phone was playing up so could not even ring the owner.
- Gaynor (8/5): -
- Alison (10/5): -
- Matthew (7/5): - Cooker & fridge dirty
- Amanda (8/5): Comfy bed, hot shower - Comfy double bed, lovely hot shower Caravans are very close together, steps to decking slippery parking at side of van not the best
- Marta Zygier (6/5): Nice 3 nights stay - Beautiful views. Comfortable bed. Hot shower. Spacious kitchen with oven, fridge / freezer and microwave. Free parking next to the caravan and good speed wifi. Dog friendly. Close to the beach and swimming pool just around the corner. Very cozy and peaceful. We arrived when it was dark already and couldn't find the caravan. We only got the key code and number for the caravan but there was no other instructions prior the arrival. The owner mentioned the reception but they were closed after 6pm. There was no instructions how to turn the heating on and we could not find the wifi information. I contacted the owner and got the details over the phone without any problems. The downside was the misleading information on Booking.com such as it states cleaning products available and after talking to the owner we were told they were not so no washing up liquid no soap or kitchen towels. Going through the photos we were certain towels will be provided as you can see them on the bed in the bedroom but again we were told they were not. The lady offered to bring them in the morning but being already tired after the journey, hungry and cold we just wanted to use the kitchen and have a hot shower so we decided to head to the nearest Tesco and get all the necessities. It was rather an unpleasant experience and I must admit, first time I found no basics in the caravan/ hotels that I have been to. Luckily that didn't spoil our great stay in the beautiful Aberystwyth.
- Evans (10/5): - Caravan was immaculate. The beach at Clarach is great.
- Deborah (8/5): - Quiet, but obviously it was out of season . We ate at the club, food was good. Convenient for the university open day Extra blankets would have been nice as it was very cold at night
- Ho Yin (5/5): - Great location, however had a musty smell to it. Although understandable this is a pet friendly property. Good heating. Was a bit of mild on the blinds
- Ruth (9/5): - Family catered for. Lovely coastal walks. Caravan Park clean and orderly
- Wright (9/5): - we had a lovely time and the kids had loads of fun
- Vaivode (8/5): - NaktsmÄ«tne atradas tuvu pludmalei .PludmalÄ darbojÄs bÄra zona .Vareja paÄst. NakstmÄ«tnÄ virtuvÄ daudz dažÄdi trauki lielas iespÄjas gatavot.Ä·aravÄnu atradÄm labi. - Gill (8/5): -
- Stephanie (9/5): Beautiful caravan - The caravan was beautiful big and comfy. The owner was very friendly and helpful when we needed them. The caravan had all the necessary facilities. Washer, cooker, heating. The beds were made lovely and clean we slept straight through the night. The beach is within walking distance as well. We would definitely stay there again. The only little thing was as we stayed just for one night and we travelled very light so had nothing with us. Was that there were no cloths to wash up all the plates that we had used. But everything else was supplied amazing.
- Stephen (5/5): - The caravan park is in a secluded bay in Aberystwyth.
They have good facilities onsite.
Shower was good
Bed comfortable
TV with all streaming services The caravan we were in has seen better days smellt damp and musty.
Gas fire doesn't work.
Some of the windows are broken need replacing or fixing., they had gaps that you could see outside.
We were only there 1 night so was ok but wouldn't have stayed if longer.
The reviews must be for random caravans so you need to know which caravan you are being given and also the photos weren't of the caravan we were in
