Guest Reviews
- Shirley (9/5): Peaceful and quiet - Quiet and peaceful, good location Only one thing that could have made it ideal, although it was dog friendly, if there had been a gate to the garden we could have let our little dog off the lead which would have made it perfect. Just a suggestion.
- Gosden (6/5): It's a shame......should have been a nice stay - Location is great and very quiet and well equipped kitchen. Our first issue was that we couldn't get in at the agreed time - I rang the owner twice and left voicemails, sent text and also messaged via booking.com. We were sat waiting outside for an hour, which after having travelled 5.5hrs to get there and pre-agreeing check in time was very disappointing.
The cabin hadn't been cleaned before we arrived - there was dust, cobwebs and dead flies everywhere as well as live flies. My partner has a dust allergy and struggled to breathe during the time we were there.
The wardrobe smelt so we were unable to hang our clothes up.
And the heating and hot water were an issue as these are controlled by the owner.....we were cold and asked if the heating could be turned up, to be told that it was warm enough in there and receiving a screenshot of his heating app.....after pushing him he did turn it up a couple degrees but it took a while to feel that. Hot water says in the instructions that its on demand but I had a cold shower before going out (6.15pm) which was not pleasant given I was already cold as the heating was off again.
The kitchen cupboards and fridge door don't open properly as they scrape the ceiling and the cupboard doors were dirty.
The patio doors had a note saying don't open which spoilt the experience.
The property lacks proper instructions as to how to connect to the wifi as the channel mentioned in the instructions wasn't showing on any of our devices (again we had to message the owner to get online), we couldn't get TV to work properly either....
We left earlier than planned due to the cabin being presented the way it was, the delay in getting in which delayed our plans that afternoon, and that it was cold, which we had no control over.

- Breach (8/5): great location, quiet yet close to town, nice views and setting, well equipped - In lock box, code worked fine Delay to get key code
- Marcus (10/5): Defo go again - Was brill
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Amy (8/5): -
- Susan (8/5): Rural property - Nice views, comfortable property, very well equipped (except no hairdryer). Good communication with owner who was very helpful. Open plan bedroom/bathroom may not suit everyone.

- Brianna (6/5): Lovely place but the cleaning lets it down - Well equipped kitchen, lovely location, bed was comfy and the bath was a nice touch Not very clean- Dirty aifryer, dirty cupboards, dirty floor, freezer had meat juices everywhere- So many comments in the guest book about cleaning issues but Mark clearly doesn't seen to care much about them as they keep happening
- Ann (8/5): Very good. Easy walk into a lovely village with shop and post office and local walks. - A large, light, well planned apartment with a well equipped kitchen and large windows out onto the countryside. Pleasant even in the rain! A large comfortable bed. Could be improved with somewhere to hang wet coats.
- Snezana (8/5): A lovely stay in a delightful setting. - This is a lovely property with many lovely features. The bed is very comfortable, the cooking facilities very goof and the cabin spacious and airy. It was very peaceful and quiet with a lovely, rural outlook, a great place to stay and not far away from good facilities. It was warm and a pleasure to spend time in. What was tricky was not having a fully enclosed garden area for our dogs. The gate was missing and that meant that our doggies could not be let outside without close supervision. This was somewhat stressful which was a pity and is something we would urge the owner to address for when people come with dogs. Also, we could not get the TV to work so some clear instructions would have been great as we did love being in the pros. We had no idea what to do though we are sure that the owner would have helped had we asked but we did not want to bother him.
Finally, although the property has been advertised as having a washing machine and dryer, we did not find these but there was a great dishwasher. Again, we did not ask but are sure that the owner would have been helpful had we done so.
- Charly (10/5): Stunning property! Looking forward to coming back! - Beautiful! The only issue was we ran out of toilet paper and couldn’t find any!! Nothing not to like! We will be back!
- Hans (10/5): - Tolle Alleinlagen, große Zimmer und Top Ausstattung in der Küche. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
- Alyssa (10/5): A lovely relaxing weekend away in the country - Remote location, gorgeous views, very quiet!
- Anna (10/5): Lovely night away - Cosy, homely accommodation in a lovely secluded location.
- Lesley (8/5): Very good - The photographs and description are accurate, and the property fulfilled our expections. We enjoyed a quiet and comfortable stay. The cabin has been thoughfully designed and is well equipped with everything you might need. The local supermarket is just a ten minute walk into town.
- Rachel (1/5): DON'T BOOK - Nothing Absolutely stinking, worst I've encountered. Owner unresponsive and very bad host.
- K (7/5): Nice but very cold and no control over heating - Very stylish and nice location No control over heating. For the price you would expect to be able to have control over it .Asked host to turn it up and it did get a little warmer but thermostat went back down to 18c over night and was very cold
- Paula (10/5): Another lovely stay - This was our 4th visit, so I think that says it all. Mark was so brilliant after we had problems with our car, which had to be recovered. He was flexible about letting us stay a bit later. Very grateful - thank you!
- Ionut (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (9/5): We had an amazing stay, super comfortable and very homely. We would definitely visit again! - Very homely, lovely location and great facilities Nothing to dislike
- Rachel (8/5): Lovely peaceful location, just needing a bit more input from hosts to improve the experience. - The cabin was very comfy and in a nice quiet peaceful location.
The bed was comfortable with a nice modern bathroom and all facilities needed.I
Hosts were helpful when we contacted them. The postcode didn't take us to the location, tried two devices .
We weren't given the door code until we were travelling there and it was different to the booking one.
There were some maintenance and cleaning issues.
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Rachel (9/5): Peaceful stay - Very quiet and peaceful location. Comfortable bed and nice large area to relax in. Nice surroundings and shop up the road, walks nearby No blind on bathroom window so very bright in morning. Would be nice to have a comfortable outside area to sit in.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Josh (9/5): Bliss! - The place was really cozy but not too small at all! The open planned en suite was a really nice touch and the hosts were easy to communicate with
- Mia (10/5): This property was perfect, quiet and the views were stunning! - It was in a perfect location as we was visiting family. The views were stunning, it was quiet and modern and had everything we needed! Just perfect!! Nothing it was perfect :)
- Charlotte (10/5): Perfectly secluded cabin to escape the world! - Beautiful cabin with attention to detail! Absolutely adore how secluded and quiet the location is but still also so close to the local facilities! Perfect. Nothing to mention at all.
- Peter (9/5): A lovely stopping-off point at the half-way point on the Devon Coast to Coast Cycleway. - Great location for a one night stop-over when doing the Devon Coast to Coast Cycleway. Exactly half way. Much better staying here, with the whole cabin, rather than booking a room at The George. Suited us brilliantly. Slightly unusual with the bathroom directly in the bedroom, especially if it isn’t a couple using the cabin. But it still works. Had a few issues with the internet. Got it to work on the evening of our stay, but no success in the morning.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charmaine (10/5): Really nice place to stay. - Loved this property. Was we’ll equipped well stocked kitchen utensils. The outside area with bench and bbq was lovely. The view over the field was just so peaceful. A real find in the area. Will be back. It’s close to family
- Michelle (7/5): Just what we needed for a one night stay. - The host was amazing by allowing us early arrival and late check out. The Cabin needed a good clean and tidy up outside. Cobwebs and spiders in the door and window hinges.
The fridge I had to wipe over as it had old food markings on the glass shelves. The toilet wasn’t leaned.
It’s a really lovely lodge, it just needs everything pulling out and a thorough good clean of windowsills and wash down to remove cobwebs etc inside.
- Terry (10/5): We absolutely loved our stay, beautiful cabin, top class - Absolutely stunning location Nothing
- Robert (8/5): Very good - The location was very good and the views equally as good. The interior was excellent. Cleaning of certain areas was'nt too good i.e under bed , under sofa and most corners. Sofa was'nt very comfortable.
- Henry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Toni (9/5): Superb -
- Paula (9/5): Exactly the lovely bolthole we were looking for - It was just the escape we were looking for. The tucked away and peaceful location, with lovely views, was great - yet still easily accessible, with private parking. Great to feel remote yet still be able to walk into town, where there were 2 pubs, a cafe, a takeaway, and a co-op. We really enjoyed our Chinese takeaway from the fish and chip shop and the fact there was a dishwasher for after it! The accommodation was spacious and well equipped. I absolutely loved the bath; I do like a feature bath. The shower was great too. We definitely plan to stay again at the next opportunity. We weren't sure what to do about recycling, so we took it home with us.
- Mike (9/5): Superb -
- Vanya (10/5): Peaceful getaway - Beautiful peaceful location. Fab hosts. Easy to deal with. Lovely little break away. Would highly recommend
- Michelle (9/5): Great stay at Littlewood Cabin - Wonderful stay at Littlewood Cabin. Modern, quiet, clean and well equipped. Owners really helpful and good communication. Great location with only a short walk to the village. Overlooks a field with sheep, really pleasant to wake up to. Dog friendly and would definitely stay again There was nothing to dislike
- Michelle (8/5): Great stay at Littlewood Cabin - What a wonderful little cabin. Clean, modern and in a lovely setting over looking the field. The short work to the local village is handy and there's a local milkshake vending machine. Very unique and well tasty. Good communication from the owners and more than happy to help. Lovely deep bath and well stocked kitchen. Definitely will stay again. There was nothing to dislike.
- Dorota (10/5): Exceptional - Location is superb, very nice and quiet. Beautiful place in the middle of nowhere. Cabin is well equipped, clean and has everything you need. Mark was helpful and responded very quickly when required. We'd happily recommend this place
