• Paul (9/5): - I enjoyed my stay with Mama Mireka. The location on the quieter side of the island was great. A few restaurants and mini mart close by and the beautiful beach.The room was comfortable and you have your own bathroom. Mireka picked me up and dropped me off which was very handy. And cheaper than a taxi. She greeted me at airport with a beautiful lei she had made with flowers from her garden. The only negative were the neighbourhood dogs of which there are many. They bark a lot especially at night and once one starts they all join in. They come up to you and bark and chase joggers down the beach. For people afraid of dogs or with small children it would be unpleasant.
• IsaJadin (8/5): - Mireka is a lovely lady who really wants her guests to enjoy their stay. The house is new, well equipped and clean. We stayed in the self-contained unit and enjoyed all the space, equipment and privacy. It's also really convenient to have access to her wash machine. The location inland offers a good change from the main road, with a nice view on the countryside and an easy access to the beach and the bus stop. We were supposed to stay in the room in the main house but it was not available when we arrived. We were finally happy to stay in the self-contained unit, but we had to pay some extra. While the neighborhood is really quite during the day, it gets very noisy at night with all the dogs and cockerels screaming.

• Linda (8/5): Lovely apartment and fabulous host - We stayed in a self contained apartment alongside the home stay house. It is brand new. Lovely bedrooms and enormous bathroom. Safe water. If you’re a light sleeper take war plugs - It’s quite noisy as it’s rural and there are lots of dogs and cockerels making noise.
• Tamara (10/5): Most favourite stay! - This was very unexpected but it was one of our most favourite stays during our travels. Mireka is the most wonderful host/person you can meet. We loved to stay with her and share her house. Thanks for all the help and all the conversations, we were really happy to meet you, Mireka and Poroa! The house is very big and clean. We were allowed to use the kitchen and had our own bathroom. Mireka even emptied some cupboards and one side of the fridge in the kitchen so we could put our food there. The beach is only some minutes away by foot and it is paradise because there are almost no people at the beach. Nothing

• Waiana (10/5): This was a last minute booking and will definitely look at it again if I go back with family. - It’s beautiful there, off the main road so nice and quiet. The house is huge and it was nice and cool there too. Host is so friendly if you have a family to accommodate I’d suggest going there. N/A
