Olena (8/5): Comfortable lodging in Puelo area, next to Termas del Sol - Spacious and modern cabana, with panoramic windows facing volcano view. Equipped kitchen. Termas del Sol is the neighboring property. We got a pick season for horse flies and it was impossible to stay outdoors. If you are traveling in January and sensitive to the bites, make sure to have proper medicine/ repellent etc.

We had to phone the owner which took us an hour to get to the place after we had arrived in town Even when they send you a picture of the sign it is not clear what path to take. You have to go through an unmarked gate which also has a metal chain to keep it shut Then you have to navigate a long muddy track that has several boulders to get over. You need a four wheel drive vehicle folks Then it’s over a rickety bridge and walk across a field to get to the cabana The owner adds on 20% fees and charges to the USD booking.com price. You have to have US dollars to pay that. In cash This was the worst experience we had in a month of Chilean travel and was probably the most expensive night stay.
