• Holly (10/5): Perfect cottage in Yzerfontein with a hot tub and a view of the stars. - Spotlessly clean, and loads of space. The kitchen was well equipped and the living area was spacious. The bedrooms were really comfortable. The garden was a dream. A lovely sheltered area so you could enjoy the sunshine without the wind. The hot tub was a great addition, but it’s wood fired so expect a bit of a what to heat it up. Great view of the stars at night. It is a short drive to local cafes and shops. The host was really friendly and offered lots of great suggestions of places to visit or eat. An amazing place. No washing machine (how boring am I!)

• Julie (10/5): A wonderful weekend stay to visit the wildflowers at WCNP. Wood-fired hot tub was fantastic. - Loved the location, the comfy beds and the hot tub! Although there is only one bathroom there's a second, separate toilet. We made a couple of suggestions to the owner of useful additions to the property, which he said he was going to act on.

The hosts were really easy to communicate with and always helpful. The star of the show is the hot tub, especially at night. Thanks Jaco and Amore for a lovely time, hope to be back! They provided us with different places that we could explore, where we took nice peaceful walks along the paths with beautiful scenery, they also advised that bookings are very important at restaurants nearby to avoid disappointments. On our arrival they surprised us with a lovely bottle of white wine as we celebrated our 26th Wedding Anniversary🥂. The accommodation is extremely beautiful, cosy, clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was of high hotel quality. We absolutely loved the jacuzzi and it was really peaceful. The accommodation had a full bathroom and a separate toilet for convenience. Being at Versveld Cottage was relaxing and calming just what the soul needed. We will DEFINITELY be back and have recommended it to our family and friends 💞. Thank you once again to our amazing hosts Amore and Jaco for an absolutely amazing stay! 🙏🏻🌻 Nothing that we didn't like! Just 2 recommendations 🌻, to extend the chimney of the jacuzzi because with a slight breeze the smoke tends to flow down. It would also be nice if the windows to the entertainment area that are facing the road were tinted for complete privacy.

Accomodation is spacious yet cosy and inviting, loved the indoor fireplace, perfect for the cold Winter nights & the hot tub was absolutely perfect. Great that the bathroom had both a bath and a shower. Everything was lovely, thank you. 🌻 Nothing that we didn't like, just would be nice if the windows to the entertainment area were either tinted or had blinds seeing that it directly faces the road and bypasses make it their business to look towards the house, probably because the boundary walls are low. There are trees but they're small and don't really cover the windows.

• Kyle (10/5): Yzerfontein stay - The hosts, Jaco and Amore, communicated well from the start of the booking process until we checked out. Jaco was friendly and welcoming,the house looks even better in-person and it has everything you need for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Needless to say the cottage was very clean and tidy, the decor was tastefully done, and the braai area and indoor fireplace added to the cosy ambiance, especially on an icy, cold winter's night. A definite new favourite in Yzerfontein. Looking forward to our next stay. Thank you :) Nothing to dislike!

This cozy gem is situated in a very safe neighborhood , the cottage was very neat, spacious and very tranquil, it catered for all our needs and expectations. The private host was very polite, he even shared routes to complete, if interested. Will definitely be visiting soon, this time for a much longer stay 🤍

The braai area was great because it is very sheltered from the cold wind. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable beach break. The hosts were very helpful, always available and even brought clean towels after the first few days. The bedrooms need mirrors.
