• taylah (2/5): Stay somewhere else for the money - Pretty to look at Dirty sheets, mosquitos with no way to keep them out of the room, had to listen to the people next door have sex all night then argue all morning, paid for a facial and my therapist got up and did our dishes half way through then would stop for several minutes or only use one hand. Will not stay again.

Maymundan korkuyorsanız önermem çünkü gündüz bahçe kısmında otururken bir anda bir sürü maymun geldi ve yiyecek arıyorlar. Bir süre sonra gittiler fakat gündüz rahat bir şekilde orada bir şeyler yeme ve havuza girme fikri hiç mantıklı değil. Ertesi sabah 6.30 da kapı zorlama tarzında seslere uyandık ve bahçede birkaç tane maymun vardı çatıda yine dolaşıp gittiler. Bu hissiyat hiç konforlu değildi. Kapılarınızı mutlaka kilitledim eğer tercih ederseniz. Dışarda eşya bırakmayın. Maymunların ilk gün gelmeleri bize de tatlı gelmişti ama sabah gelmeleri çok rahatsız ediciydi. Duş kısmı açık yani bitkilerle dolu ışıklandırma çok kötü akşam kullanamadık karanlık olduğu için. Tabi ki gekolar da var banyo dış kısım tuvalette vs.

• HYONA (10/5): - 너무 예쁜숙소였습니다 통유리창으로 보이는 주변 풍경이 참 마음에 들었어요 프라이빗하게 즐길 수 있는 수영장에 족욕탕이 따로 있었습니다 덥고 습한 날씨에 에어컨이 저흴 살렸어요 직원들도 친절하고 왓츠앱으로 연락하면 바로 답장해주고 필요한걸 챙겨줬어요 가족여행으로 온거라 방도 많이 필요했는데 침실 3개에 욕실2개라 불편한것도 없었습니다 숙소에서 수영만해도 즐거웠어요 발리에 사는 노래기?같은 벌레가 1층 욕실에 매일 나타납니다 위험하거나 무섭진 않았지만 벌레 싫어하는 사람은 참고하세요

• Natalie Anne (10/5): My new favourite home, away from home! - The Villa is stunningly picturesque in every detail. It’s cosy and clean. I loved the mosquito net over the bed, complimentary natural mosquito repellent, the supplied shampoo, conditioner, body wash and cream. Those little details elevated the experience. The service from staff was exceptional, they setup a WhatsApp group making communication so easy. The wifi is excellent too. I enjoyed many dishes on the menu especially the Balinese Dadar Gulung (pandan pancakes). The location is close to beauty salons, many massage parlours, delicious warungs and restaurants. The walk to yoga studios like Heart Space and Lumeria was around 25 mins. Would stay here again! Nothing! I would stay here again and book direct. My only tip is for anyone that has not stayed in Ubud - you need to be conscious you’re in the jungle and close to the monkey forest. So there will be cute insects but to avoid the bad insects don’t eat in bed, avoid leaving crumbs in bedroom, throw waste in the kitchen bin. Also the monkeys get hungry in the afternoon one will scout for food then call the family over. So don’t eat by the pool I was bullied to surrender my chicken wings and coconut drink. So I would open the curtains or eat in my room. Don’t eat by the pool unless you want to donate your food ha ha

• Liping (8/5): Quiet and off Main Street, beautiful villa - The size and amount of space aplenty in the villa. It comes equipped with a yoga space, an outdoor gym, a cold plunge pool and even sauna. For pools, there was 2 as well - one at the front of the villa and a smaller one at the back. One of the bedrooms was situated at the ground floor and was slightly dingy. The staff does provide an abundance of insect repellent and mosquito coil as there is quite a bit of mosquitoes there - it helped.

Die Lage erlaubt es fußläufig die Stadt zu erkunden. Architektonisch ist sie Villa für 6 Personen wirklich etwas besonderes. Das absolute Highlight ist aber das unglaublich zuvorkommende und aufmerksame Personal. Wir haben direkt noch eine Nacht verlängert, dies war unkompliziert möglich, man bekommt Frühstück in die Villa geliefert und wird in sämtlichen Fragen und Anliegen mit herzlicher Gastfreundschaft unterstützt. /

• Mennah (10/5): - Everything was great! The staff were really friendly and helpful, available on whatsapp 24/7. The villa made our Ubud stay really special, with the private pool and the outdoors area. We felt like we didn't need to go visit the Monkey forest as we had cheeky visitors 3 out of 4 days, so don't leave any food out as per instructed by the staff. It was actually one of the reasons we picked this place. The location is good with circle K just around the corner open 24/7 and many restaurants down the street. Would totally recommend this place. I would have loved to have more cabinet/storage areas in the room to organize my stuff, but maybe it's just me, an overpacker.

Close enough to walk into the main streets of Ubud, maybe 8mins but far enough away to be quiet. Lots of places to eat close by. Had a few monkey visits but only along the wall. Bedroom a little bit pokey but fine. Lovely indoor outdoor area with lounge and hammock. There are roosters right next door that start crowing very early but the villa has ear plugs if you like. It’s not a negative. I quite liked it but a good to know.

The design is absolutely beautiful, with a seamless indoor-outdoor atmosphere that makes the villa feel both luxurious and relaxed. The private pool is huge, pleasantly deep, and had the perfect temperature – refreshing but not too cold. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. The optional à la carte breakfast was delicious and very reasonably priced. I also loved the professional coffee setup with grinder and scale which made me feel like a real barista in the morning. The location is excellent – restaurants and small supermarkets are right outside, yet the villa remains peaceful and protected from street noise. It’s also within walking distance of the Monkey Forest. The only downside was construction work next to the villa we originally booked. However, the team handled this very well and moved us to another villa where the noise was barely noticeable and the level of privacy was even better.

Elle est très bien placée Le coq qui chante des 4h du matin toutes les 5minutes avec l'impression qu'il est dans la salle de bain. Des boules quies sont offertes à l'arrivée. Et puis les singes qui viennent le matin dans la villa nous empêchant de sortir de la chambre.

This can’t be helped- little creaky from the upstairs to the downstairs. Just keep the party animals on the lower level. A little larger stone in the upstairs bathroom under shower would also be helpful.

• Elliana (10/5): beautiful villa incredible service - beautiful villa. staff was amazing, anything i needed they showed up RIGHT away the service here is truly top tier. great location right within walking distance to monkey forest and all the good shopping and restaurants, but still tucked away enough to where it wasn’t noisy. if you are scared of the monkeys visiting don’t be, i didn’t have any bother me in the whole 4 days i was here, the staff is very on top of not letting any food sit out. also the food was amazing! nothing it’s perfect

• Ivana (10/5): - We had an amazing stay at Sanctuary Villas! We stayed for five nights and truly have only the best things to say about our experience. We enjoyed the massage and breakfast, both of which were excellent and added to the overall relaxing atmosphere. We even had some cheeky monkey visitors on the first and last days of our stay. As long as you follow the staff’s instructions and don’t leave food outside, they move along on their own. We had no issues at all, in fact, they were quite cute! The staff were absolutely wonderful; attentive, friendly, and always respectful of our privacy. The pool and surrounding greenery are beautiful, creating a peaceful and luxurious environment. The location is also fantastic. We rented a scooter just outside the villa, which was very convenient and something we highly recommend. Overall, this was one of the best stays we’ve had, and we travel quite a lot. We would definitely return!

La venue des singes de Monkey Forest non reprise dans l’annonce : en effet, nous n’avons pas pu prendre le petit déjeuner à l’extérieur un matin et avons dû nous enfermer dans la chambre. Le lendemain, impossible de se baigner avant le petit dej, une quinzaine de singe étant présent.

• Nicola (5/5): A one day stay is adequate at this villa until a redecoration is completed - The staff were excellent and the unit was cleaned every day by staff. The pool was very refreshing after a walk from town in the hot sun. The Roster that crowed non stop early mornings to mid day, the dog barking mid afternoon every day and the Monkeys that visited savaging for food every morning. The semi open villa didn’t feel secure. The photos looked amazing when we booked for a 4 day stay but in reality the pool, the surrounding wall and patio really needs a water blast and redecorating

• Ann (10/5): - I loved it. Very cool. It was the perfect combination of indoor-outdoor living. If you want your own little space to get away, this is the perfect villa. I loved the hammock and the breakfast you can order via text, and they bring it right to you. The private pool and outdoor shower is very nice. The staff helped organize our tour and other activities. Gives great Ubud vibes. I read bad things about the constitution and monkeys. Honestly, the construction did not really bother me. The whole city has construction, so there is not really a place that does not have construction nearby. In terms of the monkeys, we were told they are aggressive and not to leave food or valuables outside. We did just that and had no problems. We only saw a mother with her baby up in the trees, and she was not bothering anyone at all. Great experience!!

• Alicia (10/5): A wonderful stay at Sanctuary Villas - a beautiful villa and amazing staff! - It was a beautiful oasis in Ubud. The pool, outdoor area and bedroom were all lovely and it felt peaceful. A good location for the monkey forest and some good food spots. That did mean that monkeys were regular visitors and are happy to come into the living area but as long as you didn’t leave anything outside they didn’t bother us. The staff also went above and beyond for us! Helping us organise transfers, tours and great local advice. Everyone was so kind! Hot water didn’t last long but we didn’t mind as it was a hot day anyway!

Il personale è molto gentile. Non si trova vicino al centro ma con una passeggiata di 15/20 minuti si arriva perfettamente. Le scale sono alte e non hanno corrimano, situazione molto pericolosa per chiunque. Sarebbe molto semplice da risolvere.

The staff were unbelievably attentive and kind and the rooms were lovely. Some maintenance is needed on the floorboards and shower upstairs- it leaked into the downstairs bedroom and some of the flooring is coming up.

• Rachel (9/5): Perfect Villa break - Perfect Villa with our own pool which was nice and private meaning we could enjoy time listening to music and relaxing on an evening. Everything was clean and well presented. Location was good easy walking distance to the main places in Ubud, which was quicker than walking as traffic is very busy. The monkeys come and visit every morning which was nice until they stole our breakfast, but the staff were quick acting and helped us chase them away.
• Stefanie (10/5): Amazing - beautiful, incredible location, phenomenal staff, cannot be beat. I will be back! - I cannot recommend this place enough. I stayed in one of the smaller villas for three nights and decided to extend my stay and moved to one of the larger, 3-bedroom villas for another three nights and loved every minute of my stay. The larger villa is insanely beautiful! Incredible value, and such beautiful places. The smaller villas are very nice as well, but the bigger ones are so impressive and comfortable. The staff is absolutely incredible. There isn’t a front desk, but there is 24/7 service via Whatsapp and the team is extremely responsive. I don’t think I waited more than 2-3 minutes for a response during my entire stay, even middle of the night. The villas are well-equipped. Private pools, lovely showers (and soaking bathtubs in the larger villas), such comfortable beds and solid a/c. Breakfast ordered through the villa was delicious, very affordable, and always plated so beautifully and delivered exactly at the time I selected each day. Yes, you’ll encounter a few mosquitos during the rainy season, but villa staff will bring you a mosquito coil on request and they provide repellent gel in every villa. You’re staying in the jungle, immediately next to the sacred monkey forest – expect a few bugs and lizards. Remember that the lizards take care of those bugs, so try to appreciate them whenever you see them even if they slip inside from time to time! They have no interest in you, just turn away and when you look back, they’ll be gone and they will have taken some mosquitoes with them. I'll continue my positive review in the "what didn't I like" section because I have no complaints but there are character limits. I loved everything. Continuing my positive review here. You’ll be visited by monkeys! I stayed for a week total between the two villas and never made eye contact with the macaques – I just enjoyed how they passed through or stopped to observe me. If you keep your food out of sight and secure your belongings, you’ll love how whimsical it is to have these lovely visitors in the mornings and afternoons. I was never bothered by them, just delighted to see them as they passed through and hung around taking a look at me. None of them came close or encroached on my space. Another enormous benefit is the spa services offered through Sanctuary. Putu is one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever encountered. She arrived exactly at the time arranged, was so professional, and above all is such a talented massage therapist. During my six nights, she came for massage at least four times, and a scrub. She is amazing – please request Putu when arranging spa services through Sanctuary. Enormous thanks to Tari for coming immediately after I had an injury – she helped me with first aid and made me feel so comforted and cared for. I can’t say enough about Sanctuary Villas. Such an amazing place to stay for so many reasons, but mainly because of the staff and beautiful villas. I hope to return very soon. Book here, it’s one of the best places to stay in Ubud.
