Guest Reviews
- Brenda (9/5): Convenient location in an upscale hotel. Very nice - Location. Staff is very friendly. Nice property All good
- PAMELA (10/5): Fabulous special visit to NOLA! - The room was very nice! The location was in the center of everything! The Carousel Bar & Lounge is the main attraction and is an experience not to be missed. We had no complaints during our stay. This was a special occasion and so knew the price per night was higher than we usually pay. This means we will most likely not be staying here again. But for no other reason except price.
- Virginia (9/5): A fun and lovely girls weekend. - Perfect location. Could easily walk to the venue or street car & easily visit everywhere we were interested in seeing. They provide unlimited bottled water at the front desk, that was very appreciated. The hotel breakfast was delicious and very affordable. Loved the wait staff both mornings we ate there. Over all a very lovely stay. We were a party of 3 and were disappointed that we were not provided a third bed. The room was pretty basic, bed was soft and very small. They were not able to switch our room or provide a roll away. I did book originally for 2, then contacted the hotel by email several months prior that we would be a party of 3. The bell man voiced surprise we did not have a room with a pull out couch - which would have been perfect. Over the phone prior to our arrival when I attempted to upgrade - I was offered a suite at $1000 more for 4 nights - that room type was not within our budget. Our room type with the couch would have made the stay perfect.

- Tabatha Gunn (10/5): Highly Recommend! - The hotel is a beautiful space. The staff was very friendly. The location is located in the middle of the French Quarter and next to Walgreens. The shower was amazing and the bed and linens were very comfortable. Parking is expensive and takes a little while to get your car.
- stuart (5/5): Beautifull hotel but they must decide if they going to be a cruise liner hotel. won't be back - the old hotel rooms where terrible, we upgraded to the new section which was great. They must decide if they want to be a cruise liner hotel as we could not get into the hotel facility's like the bar,
restaurant etc. In fact they closed the bar and restaurant area for a cruise function from 4pm till 9pm. on our last
night.... that is unacceptable as there are no other facility's in the hotel, so what are you paying for ?
- Brett (10/5): Absolutely fantastic stay in the perfect location. - Everything, helpful, professional, friendly, lovely pool and beignets for breakfast to die for. Room small and a little old fashioned but the location, just off Bourbon Street, but actually on Royal Street is absolutely spot on. Small room but really not an issue as other than sleeping, you are out and about in New Orleans, which is a fabulous city.
- Gian (9/5): El mejor sitio para quedarte en French Quarter - Todo, solo las camas un poco pequeñas y el colchón demasiado blandito Solo las camas un poco pequeñas
- Leilani (10/5): Beautiful, clean, fun and friendly! - Location, friendly staff!, especially Kathy and Michael at the Creole restaurant for breakfast( super efficient and it felt like home for 4 mornings. )
- Richard (10/5): -
- Sue (9/5): - Lovely historic hotel. Great location on Royal Street in the French Quarter. Staff was very helpful. The Carousel Bar was packed all the time. Excellent stay.
- Lexi (10/5): The staff are so incredibly helpful and warm. The reason I had such an incredible stay was because this hotel makes sure - The property is extremely beautiful. So luxurious and an incredible stay.
- Nancy (10/5): -
- Markus (6/5): -
- Bob (10/5): Great experience, if ever back in New Orleans, will definitely book at Hotel Monteleone. - Room And bed very nice. Carousel bar was awesome! Nothing.
- Connie (10/5): Everything you need in a great location with a wonderful staff - I love the location, and everything this hotel has to offer! Very good breakfast at Criollos restaurant downstairs and the lovely carousel bar and sitting area to visit while you enjoy your drinks and appetizers
- Elba (8/5): Me gustó mucho la ciudad - La ubicación No tener fácil acceso al desayuno
- Tom (8/5): -
- Tabor (10/5): A perfect place to stay and enjoy the vibrant city of New Orleans. - The staff was amazingly friendly, provided quality recommendations and were extremely knowledgeable about the area. The shower layout in the renovated Iberville tower weren't very used friendly.
- Thomas (10/5): -
- Donna (10/5): Will be back - Excellent service, friendly staff Beds were the best! So comfortable !
Location is perfect
- MaryLou (8/5): - Location Room was small but met our needs. Hotel is aged- obviously. Crammed with guests for a conference. Next time may opt for quieter, smaller.
- JOANNE (10/5): Excellent - It was great - convenient to walk - lively - beautiful room
- Brian (8/5): Very nice hotel. I would definitely stay here again. - Very central, very at market hotel clearly patronised by others with taste. All the stuff in all the jobs you could possibly want. Unusual, nice, bar that goes round and round. Yes, really. Nothing much to say here
- Thomas (10/5): -
- Karleen (9/5): -
- Robert (9/5): Great short stay hotel. - Perfect location, lots of character, very friendly staff, very clean, rooftop pool a plus, Carousel bar a classic. A bit pricey
- Kristin (10/5): -
- Georgiana (5/5): Disappointing. - Excellent location for getting around. Housekeeping did a great job, the room was always cleaned at a reasonable time. Desk staff can be rude and abrupt and give inaccurate information. For example our room was not ready at 4 pm when we arrived. We were told the housekeeping supervisor had to inspect it. We were told by the desk person the supervisor could not be contacted and she had no control, and did we want to store our bags until the room was ready. She asked for my credit card to charge the room before we were given the key to the room. She ignored us when we asked to speak with a manager. We saw another staff person in the lobby who did get a manager. What the manager did for our inconvenience and dealing with his rude desk clerk was to give us a free drink at the bar that had to be used that night! There is no way one can get a drink at the carousel bar it is always packed. We tried for the five nights we were at the hotel and could not get a seat. The lobby is noisy and always packed. When we checked out the night desk clerk refused to give me the invoice because we had booked through booking.com. I called the Hotel when I got home and the billing person told me that was incorrect and emailed me the invoice. Given the price of the room and that this is suppose to be a four star hotel we could have had a better experience at a different hotel.

- VICTORIA (10/5): Perfect - Excellent location. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Beautiful decor
- Lori (10/5): - Always a wonderful time
- ballou (10/5): -
- Jessica EULENE (9/5): Don’t hesitate —Book here! - Extremely comfortable beds, very clean, and a wonderful vibe. The location couldn’t be more convenient to everything in the Quarter. The absolute best part of our stay was the staff—especially Nolan, who took care of our bags and was incredibly delightful. I can’t wait to return and definitely recommend staying here! Bathroom a bit small.
- Dylan (10/5): -
- Tommy (8/5): -
- Michael (10/5): -
- Taylor (9/5): -
- Javier (9/5): Genial - Lo mejor la situación y la comodidad. El desayuno, son exageradamente lentos.
- Gant (9/5): -
- Lukas (9/5): Great location, nice rooms, pools yer convenient - Great rooms, pool is very convenient, decent gym w a vice view. Good location and onsite restaurant is very good Housekeeping was a bit sloppy. First day they cleaned our room after we asked twice (once claiming we had the do not disturb outside which wasn’t true). Second day we were still in the room for turn down and said to come back in 30’ and pls also make up our daughters sofa bed. In the end they then just made up the bed and nothing else.
- Michael (10/5): - An amazing property and location in the French Quarter.

- Ronald (10/5): -
- Daria (10/5): -
- ayçe (10/5): I loved the hotel, the location is perfect, it is a beautiful and peaceful place. Great bar and restaurant. - Great location close to all. Great hotel None
- Mark (9/5): -
- Boris (7/5): OK experience - Bedding The hotel is a bit outdated, the windows are not clean, the fixtures are old and some worn out, the coffee shop was not open as indicated on the sign, I had to get coffee from elswhere
- drew (9/5): Great old hotel a block and a half away from Bourbon st. - Great old hotel in perfect location. Bathroom was small and dated and restaurant food was outstanding. Restaurant seating was difficult and inefficient. They were turning away people for breakfast when the place was less than half full
- Harvey (10/5): Great times, staff great - Everything
- Randee (10/5): -
- Alexandra (8/5): -
- Amber (10/5): It was a great stay with excellent service from all the hotel staff. - Very clean and luxurious. No complaints.
- Kay (1/5): -
- Carma (10/5): Great location near Bourbon street - Trayvontin was very friendly and offered great recommendations for food and activities. We were never able to find a seat at the bar
We tried different days and different hours and it was just impossible. There are other bars we went to, it just would have been nice to have a drink at the hotel we were staying at.
- Pamela (10/5): We were visiting for my sisters 60th birthday and wouldn't have stayed anywhere else! - The Hotel was located in the French Quarters and convenient to everything we wanted to see.
Our room was exceptional. Newly remodeled and very luxurious.
The staff went above and beyond to assist in any way they could. Did not have any bad experiences with the hotel or staff
- Jason (9/5): Great Classic NOLA Hotel Experience - Beautiful and historic hotel in a great location in the French Quarter, but also close to the CBD. Friendly and helpful staff with a nice restaurant and bar on the main floor. Rooms are large (we had a one bedroom suite in the original tower). Would highly recommend for a classic NOLA hotel experience. Pretty minor, but our room was starting to look a little drab and dated with some worn furniture. Probably could use a refresh in that part of the hotel.
- Dan (10/5): Fun times in New Orleans! - Excellent hotel with very helpful staff. Excellent bar and restaurant on site, and great location in the French Quarter.
- Deborah (10/5): Had wonderful stay, and gracious service. Will stay again. - FABULOUS LOCATION, EXCELLENT SERVICE AND FOOD
- Christopher (10/5): -
- Dee (10/5): - Great location - one block from Bourbon street and close proximity to great dining. None
- Lorna (9/5): -
- kaushal m (6/5): - Location I have not been able to get my invoice for which I was charged $900
- Chris (10/5): -
- Susan (8/5): Great hotel to be in the thick of things! We loved it. - Location, history, pool and very friendly staff. Food was high end, which is lovely but would have liked just a fruit, cereal or toast option for breakfast.
- Alex (10/5): Excellent - Great location very helpful great Hotel Nothing

- Jason (10/5): -
- Mary (5/5): - Overpriced for what you get. Bathtubs/showers and TV all need upgrades. Water pressure was high and uncontrolled by the shower head. Tub plug lost its seal and leaked. Wasnt able to order drinks from the bar to the room. Also, security did not seem like a priority. Anyone off the street could have gone into the elevator to any floor. Higher security to amenity access than to patrons.
- Leslie (8/5): - The location was great. Staff were very nice. Some of the areas were not available due to private party’s. As a guest in the hotel I could not use the pool or bar areas at certain times.
- Lynn (9/5): Fun stay -
- joe (10/5): I'll stay there again soon - hotel location is perfect, room was outstanding, bed was super comfortable.
- Karrie (8/5): Historic hotel in great location! - Nice hotel on Royal Street- Pretty quiet street with all the rowdiness of Bourbon St a block away. Just what we wanted. Walking distance to most everything to see and fabulous restaurants/shops. Very nice, historic hotel- a little dated but still very nice
- Dojcin (9/5): -
- Victor (10/5): -
- Tauriac (8/5): - All Outside
- Carol (10/5): Fantastic! - Dinner fantastic! Carasoul bar amazing! Gift shop coffee each morning. Staff helpful and friendly! Would have liked firmer pillows. Didn't ask so might have had some available.
- Christopher (8/5): - Room was clean and adequate. Staff were exceptional including concierge services, doormen & check-in personnel. Everyone was helpful and outgoing. Problems were addressed in a quick and decisive manner. Exterior noise infiltration
- Alex (10/5): It was comfortable - Very classy N/A
- April (10/5): - Everything except the valet drivers they were rude and lost my car twice The valet drivers
- Dorothy (10/5): -
- Marilyn (10/5): It was amazing and unforgettable! - Service
Location
Room I can't think of anything I didn't like.
- Edward (6/5): lobby to be cold in temperature and and for the same price, there are better places to stay - Didn't do breakfast. The carousel bar is always crowded so getting a seat sometimes is impossible. It's a very convenient hotel in the quarter. It's clean. The bathroom is so small on multiple occasions. Everything fell into the toilet.
- Johanna (8/5): -
- ETINYIA (10/5): Definitely would be back. - Location, and staff, all around service.
