Compton2golf (5/5): Passable - New property and well presented. The room we booked was not provided and the reason provided not acceptable or convincing. The property seems to be a work in progress. Those of a nervous disposition should be aware that the path leading to the property is quite steep. Overpriced with some staffing issues. Won't be going back.

Martine (9/5): An amazing place to stay in Cochrane and a very welcoming host. Will definitively come back! - Location is great and the view amazing. It's very comfortable and the host is extremely nice, welcoming and resourceful about what to do in the area. Nothing we disliked at all. However it was mentioned there was a restaurant and it's not really opened yet. However our host cooked one night for us and it was absolutely delicious!
John (7/5): good stop off as we head North through Patagonia - breakfast good. lovely spot on the hill overlooking town. possibly hard to find in the dark unless your GPS very good . view from rooms great and I assume in summer magnificent with terrace etc expensive, but then so is Chile generally compared to Argentina I guess

Hines (10/5): If you visit Cochrane and you don’t stay at Hotel Horstmeyer, you made a mistake! - If you are staying in Cochrane, there is no better place to stay than Hotel Horstmeyer! It’s way to find, has beautiful views, is clean, modern, comfortable, and had a delightful owner! My wife and I travel extensively and we loved this place. We’ve been to more than 50 countries around the world and we think Hotel Horstmeyer is a gem.

For 147 USD per night you expect to have hot water and wifi, neither was available… The excuse was that it is recently opened; well if you want me to pay 147USD per night you should at least give me hot water and wifi. Breakfast, which was included, was quite poor.
