Guest Reviews

- Erika (10/5): -
- Isabel Alvarado Beltran (10/5): - Personal amable
Lugar limpio
- Karla veronica (6/5): Buena estancia.

- Caspar (9/5): A great place to enjoy time with your children - We had a great time at the hacienda. I took my two children there for one night and they absolutely loved all the activities. Contrary to what some other reviewers have said, I thought all the animals seemed well cared for and healthy. It may be a little challenging for non Spanish speakers but all you need to know is that you have to buy a package when you arrive at the hotel then you can enjoy all the activities. It was very reasonable, around 200 pesos per person for two days. The hotel was comfortable, the food was fine, the restaurant staff were very good. It's true that the restaurant closes very early, at 5:30, but you can get room service until 7pm. I appreciated that they called us at 6:45 to see if we wanted to order anything. We really enjoyed the camp fire at night, just ask in reception and they will light it for you and give you logs. My only complaint was that the water in the pool was cold. If you go with children knowing what the hotel is you will have a great time. If you go thinking it's a quiet countryside retreat you probably won't.... The pool water was cold.

- Ivo (6/5): Pleasant - Nice hotel in a beautiful setting but..... First time I give a low rating. I prefer a shitty hotel with friendly staff than a nice hotel with unfriendly staff. Apparently at the reception a buenes dias is very hurtful to say. They rather pretend they don't see you.
- Thomas (7/5): Good -
- Zheng (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harshal (9/5): Very good place in Nature with great views and open area - Location, Rooms were awesome, Breakfast included was not so good, very little. Breakfast Included

- Mayra (10/5): we do love our stay and definitely would love to come back and stay longer. - everything, location, place, staff, activities, everything was great! the place is very cold, which I would like to suggest a heating unit per room, they do have wood stoves but the nights in winter are very cold, and the guest will have to get up of bed frequently through the night, to put more wood to the stove, frequently.
- Ruiz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fabiola (8/5): Very good -
- Emmanuel (9/5): good reliable hotel to watch the volcanoes - the views!! pool temperature
- Katharina (9/5): A great View - The beautiful view from the big Window in the Room on Popocatépetl und Iztaccíhuatl. To have the Park nearby is great for Kids.
- Alexa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carlos (9/5): Superb -
- Rosa (7/5): Good -
- Martin (1/5): Booking guests are being treated like second or third class guests. - Location and the mountain view is fantastic. They are torturing animals in their small animal park. They were treating us like second class guests even though we paid for all threw Booking and had breakfast included in our stay. They refused to give us more than one coffee or tea, only option for us were eggs, while the other guests had access to salad bar and the whole bufet table. we were banned for some unknown reason.
- Silvia (8/5): Convenient place to stay on route from the popocatepetl national park to mexico city. - The location, close to the popocatepetl national park and close to mexico city.
- Guillermo (1/5): Bad - The rooms didn’t have air conditioning at all.
Hot tub wasn’t working
- Daniel (8/5): Good place to stay in Amecameca - The room was spacious, the checkin and everything around super friendly!
It's simple but overall nice ! The walls and doors are a little "thin" and you can easily hear the first staff enter early morning and the last guests leaving the fireplace late.
Also most of the facilities close early ( e g. Zoo at 5 / restaurant at 5.30 ) so you have to go downtown to have dinner.
- Stanislav (9/5): Superb - + great location for trips to mountains
+ plenty of atractions with kids in the hotel area
+ great variety of grilled meat on the garden
+ pool, massages, really nice place for chillout with family - not english speaking staff
- even when we have breakfast included, we have to pay extra because they say only continental brekfast is included ??? Next time you should tell it or have some information in english about that.
- beds in double rooms were extremly small
- Mónica (10/5): Great and convenient for families with little kids! I loved the please and will definitely come back. - The staff were super nice, the food amazing, facilities were great. Bed was comfortable I did not know how to work the chimeney
- Jon (10/5): A group of us were hiking Iztaccihuatl and stayed in pAmecameca the night before. Staff was helpful from check - Views of the mountains and all the animals were an incredible sight Nothing. Everything was fantastic
- Anja (5/5): Okay, but not what we expexted from the booking details - Everything nice and clean, friendly service, nice view on the vulcanos Located in an Adventure Park for kids and families (we were not aware of that), free breakfast does not include the buffet, Pool was not very nice
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - The place is beautiful and full of activities for the kids. Super clean. Almost everything is pay with cash.
- Argento95 (6/5): Pleasant - The staff was nice, the day of the check out I felt very bad so I asked to stay a bit longer and they let me The restaurant closes really early in the afternoon
- Pirmin (4/5): Disappointed. The pictures give a wrong image. - It's not located in nature as the pictures suggest. It's off a busy highway which can be quite noisy at night. The property was a bit uncharitable. The "attractions" weren't interesting or well maintained. It seemed more like cheap entertainment for big groups.
In addition to that, the charged extra for a lot of services and attractions, even just for petting the rabbits.
- Alondra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helene (10/5): Amazing volcanoes views and an overall great stay . - The view of the two main volcanoes in the area from our room beyond anything I have ever seen . The beds super comfortable and high quality bed settings .
The different facilities Two swimming pools spa service ( not included ) biking , farm , giraffe , camels and entertainment for the adults as well as children ….
Free breakfast included but if you upgrade with a very reasonable price you will get a high value buffet with fresh ingredients from the property ‘s garden .
The location of the Izta Popo National park is an hour away from the property by car to go do hiking that consists of diff trails and areas . Nothing
- Salazar (9/5): Superb -
- Alexandre (8/5): Very good - The terrasse and surroundings..
Jean-Michel the (real) girafe.
Location not far of volcanoes. Buffet breakfast was expensive and at the order they didn't warn us it was not included (included was breakfast "continental"). Also no english so difficult to understand with workers, who are not very friendly (except at front desk)..
- Garrett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arturs (7/5): Good - Location - fantastic view to Popocatépetl. Staff attitude: English speaking guests are NOT welcome!
- Daniel (7/5): Impressed by the view... Shame about the Zoo - The room was really spacious, we loved having a hot tub in the room and the view over the volcanoes did not let us down. We booked this spot for the view and it was as breathtaking as we imagined it to be. We would have appreciated a heads-up that the hotel is located within a zoo. Had we known that animals were held on-site we wouldn't have booked as it was upsetting for us to experience and we wouldn't ever choose to go to a place like this.
- Stetson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fernando (8/5): Great place, just keep in mind that there is no food or beverages after 18:00. - Great view and the fireplace was an amazing detail, the food was great and it was really clean, the staff was friendly and doing their best. There is no window or vent to pull away the smell from the wc, they told us that the pool wasn’t warm because there was no sun but the next day was sunny and the water was still cold. But I think that the greatest area of opportunity the property has is the fact that after 6pm if you want something as simple as a coffee or a cookie or something for dinner there is nothing not even a vending machine.
- Koenderman (7/5): Good -
- David (9/5): Comfortable stay with magnificant view! - The room was spacious and the bed was enermous and super confortable! Also the view from the bed to the mountains did not hurt. :)
I really appreciated how clean the bathroom and whole room was. The restaurant closed at 6 p.m. I understand why but it was little bit shocking to me.
- Chad (5/5): Passable -
- Alex (8/5): Very good - The place doesn't have a spa it's just one room with an option to book treatments
- Graziella (8/5): Very good - It is clean and comfortable. The amount they charged me was different from the amount advertised on Booking. They included a fee for the Booking commission. I had never paid this fee at any hotel I booked through Booking.
- Miriam (5/5): Nice hotel but need to train their personnel - We stayed for one night at this Hotel, the Hotel is ok but the personal is not well trained, we stayed to visit the park, the breakfast that is included is not the buffet breakfast if you would like to enjoy the buffet then you have to pay extra, and the waitress were not well informed, first they said it was included and afterwards they came and clarified it was not. The same happened at the park, with your stay you can enjoy some of the attractions like the animals or the maze, however there are some other attractions like boats or the tirolessa and if you would like to also take part on those attractions you have to pay for the full fare, or at least it was what i was told, later at the reception they told me in fact you do not need to pay the full package for those extra attractions but only the difference but it was already too late and it was time for us to go home, so please make sure you ask what is included as soon as you check in the park is very nice but the personnel must be trained to better inform the visitors
