Coffee machine
How dog friendly the property was
Welcoming locals
How quick the owner was when we noted there appeared to be no matches to light a fire A little bit cold , heat set by owner via hive. Particularly autumnal with gales that lowered temperature latter part of week.
The absence of a pub/hotel in the village that you could walk the dogs to and served an evening meal Sunday to Thursday.
The absence of a kitchen door, one dog sleeps normally in the kitchen
Shower, not all that accessible for a 6ft 2 ins man

- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - The quantness the garden the views Little cool on evening
- Jeanette (10/5): A beautiful house with amazing views of the interesting rocky beach! - The location over looking the beach and across the bay was phenomenal. The garden at the top end also allowed for an amazing view. The house itself has been nicely decorated with a smart kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfortable too! It is all really clean and beautiful and well looked after. Internet wouldn't connect. We didn't contact the hosts about this as we were out most of the time and used mobile data instead.
The shower might be an issue for tall.people due to being under the roof slope.
No hanging space in the main space which would be an issue for a longer stay but there is a chest of drawers.
If you have small children or a dog, the steps to the grassy area at the end of the garden are dicey, especially when wet.
- Sarah (10/5): The stay was fantastic the only thing I would say is that the only place to eat in post William the view didn’t allow do - The property was beautiful and very clean, the hosts were very helpful and informative. Nothing views amazing.
- Paula (10/5): Fabulous stay and we will be going back - Very comfortable clean and homely
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - Glorious cottage right on the sea front. Log burner and large dog friendly rear garden. Highly recommend
- Sarah (10/5): Wonderful holiday in a superb cottage - Amazing place. The location on the sea front is stunning. Secure garden for the dog. Very comfortable cottage with everything you need. Would love to go back

- Thorne (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): So quiet- No busy roads, no trains just the sea! - Every bit of our stay. Garden was fabulous, such a sun trap! Bed was so comfy and the views in the mornings were wonderful. Liked The View cafe and bar. Lovely food with again fab views. Just minor stuff…. But e-mailed the owners to let them know of a few additions to kitchen.
- Paula (10/5): Very clean house, beautiful garden! - Very thoughtful owners, we were welcomed with a homemade cake. Everything you need is there - from the kitchen utensils to washing/dishwasher tablets, even a little radio in the kitchen was such a nice touch and made our morning while cooking breakfast. Communication was great and the view - amazing.
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arnold (10/5): We’ll be back 😎👍 - The cottage was amazing
Beautiful views, stunning gardens and presented to a very high standard.
We would highly recommend a stay at Rockpool cottage!! Nothing
- Donna (10/5): A home from home - Amazing views and a real home from home
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lindsay (8/5): for astounding sea views, sunsets and solace - The property’s sea views were out of this world: both out of the master bedroom & lounge windows. And the welcome package was sustainably sourced and delicious! The carpets were also deep and plush and overall, the cottage offered a very comfy bed, a new kitchen, powerful shower, loads of space & tasteful decor. Altogether rockpool cottage is a safe place for solo travellers to explore the surrounding area & get back to feeling yourself. If you’re looking for socialising this isn’t the one for you These are minor matters but worth mentioning perhaps… ? The master bedroom was a little too cold. I stayed in October and I don’t like warm bedrooms in least but this room was more than on the chilly side for me - especially on windy days. Both/2x front doors were very hard to lock. The outer door especially: it could take 5-6mins to push the door handle up enough to allow the key to turn in the lock. The key safe was stuck with salt air and getting the key out on arrival was Vv difficult. I was on verge of getting the owners out to help me get in!
- Dougie (10/5): Property was done to a very high standard with all appliances , kitchenware, towels and bedding to a similar standard. - Very clean, all appliances were new along with accessories.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Cottage was brilliant, lovely and clean, you wanted for nothing as it was so well kitted out, sea view fantastic, tiered garden very nice. Port William is very nice too, all in all a lovely stay Only thing was a bit of travelling to get to the bigger towns
- Amy (9/5): Superb - Beautiful little cottage, in a fantastic location right by the sea. We had a lovely stay. The views are exceptional, and all the fixtures and fittings are very high quality, with some lovely touches such as welcome basket and use of beach towels. Lovely wood burner and super comfy beds. Misunderstanding about key collection - the email from the owners said they meet guests on arrival, but they allowed us an earlier check-in (which was brilliant) and weren't there to meet us. All was sorted quickly, but probably best to ask for the key safe code just in case. We would happily book this property again.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect for our family to have some quite relaxing time together.
Rock cottage had everything available to meet our needs for a weeks away, the property is beautifully decorated, very clean and makes for a very comfortable and cosy stay.
Being on the sea front means direct access to the beach and the most amazing views.
The spar is just up the road and the View does a very good breakfast at a reasonable price.
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful property with a stunning sea view! - Gorgeous location and garden, everything very clean and tidy. Comfy beds and amazing sea view of Luce Bay. Liked the owners attention to detail and little extras like milk, eggs and yogurt in the fridge and a homemade cake which tasted lovely. We would 100% recommend staying here and will stay again! Nothing! Everything amazing.
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing views, beautiful furnishings, well equipped and extremely comfy beds. I've never slept so well in over 700 booking.com bookings. Hosts left amazing welcome pack with home made cake, local honey, milk and yoghurt. 12/10. One of the best cottages in the UK Nothing.
