Guest Reviews
- Michal (10/5): - Malý ostrov...skoro bez turistů. Krásný útes na šnorchlování....klid a pohodička, super příjemní místní lidičky....VRATÍM SE TAM !!!!!❤️
- Silke (10/5): Perfecy local experience - Super nice little hotel on small local island. Owners do everything do make you feel comfortable and offer lots of activities. I had to leave earlier due to family issue and they helped with everything. Amazing stay.
Man bekommt eigentlich jeden Wunsch erfüllt.
- Dorota (10/5): Úžasný hotel s velmi přátelským manažerem a personálem - Všechno se nám líbilo. Jídlo bylo skvělé, ubytování čisté a pohodlné postele. Skvělý manažer a celkově výborný přátelský personál. Cítili jsme přátelskou atmosféru. Pláže v blízkosti a velmi čisté moře. Vůbec se nám nechtělo domů. Určitě se vrátíme zpět! Vše se nám líbilo.
- Katarzyna (10/5): - Całosc rewelacja!
- Caroline (10/5): - Excellent accueil !
Plage sublime, snorkeling fabuleux ( poissons multicolores, tortues...)

- Black (10/5): I recommend coming here in a couple for a romantic weekend or not a noisy company of friends - I want to start my review with gratitude to Inthi, his family and his assistants Dinidu and Pradhap, who helped me adapt and feel comfortable during my vacation on the island. I want to note that this place is not a resort, it is a place about solitude with nature, I was lucky to be the only guest on the island where I learned real zen and tranquility. Life on the island goes its own way, calm, measured, nice and gentle people, some people welcome you. The island is small, has everything you need for a quiet life, there are a couple of cafes, several shops, stock up on ruffs if you want to buy something outside the guesthouse. What about the Guest House itself, I was very pleasantly impressed by this place, qualitatively and tastefully designed and decorated. About my room, it was clean, it has everything you need, I liked the terrace place with a fountain on the third floor and there is also a dining area, I liked the breakfasts, dinners, there was always something to choose from, the room was always cleaned, great thanks for the bottled water, it would be hard without it in a heat weather. The beach area is spacious, the umbrella and the louse have already been waiting since the morning, there is a main entrance to the ocean and a shallower bay, I managed to meet in the ocean and sharks and turtles and other fish. Thank you Inthi for the kindly provided family evening barbecue, where I tried local perch, every evening I saw off beautiful sunsets. I was lucky with the weather, it had almost no rain all week and I enjoyed the sunny days. This was my first acquaintance with the Maldives and this island, I definitely want to go back, I will hope that they will be waiting for me there too. One of the minuses I can only note the humidity, but this is a feature of the climate and a few of insects in the form of ants, you also need to understand that everything is situated in the local flora and fauna. For me it’s ok.
Niente
- ali (10/5): The stay at ended up being more memorable that we thought and left us wanting for more , hope to come back soon. - I loved that it was surrounded by plants and nature and especially the staff and inthi. The best
- Olga (8/5): Very good - The island is very beautiful. The staff and owner are super very nice, and local people as well. We had cockroaches in bathroom
Very difficult and expensive to arrive. The owner hasn't sent any instructions on how to get to the island. We requested a trasfer but with no success and had urgently buy additional plane tickets
Additinal 4% charge to pay by card
- Ann (9/5): Superb - I loved staying here. A short walk took you to the bikini beach which was lovely. The house reef is amazing.
- Rasheed (10/5): Exceptional - A truly cozy and peaceful place! The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, and everything is kept spotlessly clean. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort and great service!
- Meghan (9/5): Beautiful, clean, quiet - The island took a while to get to from Male but it was so worth it! It was stunning, on a tiny island which made the experience with the local people so much more intimate. It is a local island so dress modestly when not at the bikini beach. Since the island and guesthouse are small, there are minimal tourists so it's very quiet. All of the employees were very friendly and a wide variety of excursions are able to be scheduled whenever you want. Inthi the manager was easily contacted and very friendly. He and his wife even went out of their way to help me get some pants shipped over from another island when mine ripped. The food was delicious at the guesthouse and the room was clean. The excursions and food were rather expensive (though cheaper than a resort). Since the island is so small there are almost no food options, so eating at the hotel was almost the only choice. I wish I would have known this beforehand. You also can't really go into the hotel restaurant and just order food. You need to order in advance. The good thing is though that if you have a meal plan with the restaurant, the kitchen chef will come find you (anywhere you are on the island) to take your order during the day. The wifi at the hotel is not very strong depending on your room, so I would recommend getting a sim card or data roaming.
- Nikolett (10/5): Best guesthouse with beautiful beach and friendly staff. - This Guesthouse is truly exceeded our expectations, we really felt like home. My husband had a birthday and I asked them only to put something on the bed and the Manager Inhti’s wife made a cake as well. Such a sweet touch and they also upgraded our room. Great communication with the owner and after he introduced me to the manager Inthi who was communicating with us up until arrival and he picked us up at Dharavandhoo airport. Staff is friendly they offer some activities during your stay but they are not pushy at all. We went on the dolphin cruise and it was one of the best day of my life. The island offers great sea life you can see lots of fishes, turtles, sting rays and sharks as well and locals at the dock are also very friendly they always tried to help us to spot the turtles and sharks and always had a few nice sentences as well and helped us to understand how locals live and fish which was very interesting. With a short walk from the hotel you find the bikini beach which is actually looking like a private paradise, some days it was only the 2 of us there and it made it even more special. You find some small shops as well where you can grab some snacks. We had half board and most days they did ala cart and made the food for our requested time. It was delicious. WiFi was actually great in our room. Overall it’s mind blowing how beautiful the island is, how friendly locals are. If you want paradise without the overpriced resort islands but still want to see the natural beauty of the Maldives, Book it. We would definitely come back. Thank you Nihaali :) A bit of a smell in the bathroom sometimes but it’s kinda normal in the Maldives and it wasn’t bothering us much.
- Ali (10/5): Excellent fishing and snorkeling! I'm already planning my next trip - Excellent fishing and snorkeling! I'm already planning my next trip
- Amy (10/5): Loved everything on this island! - Loved everything! Thank you Nihaali staff !
- Andreea (10/5): A little paradise - We had an amazing time on the island. The corals were breathtaking, and we managed to see several types of rays, sharks (only the friendly type) and turtles. The hotel is located on a really small and tidy island, and it was more than easy to get around it. All the locals were super lovely and greeted us every time with a smile on their face. Our room was clean, the food was simple yet very tasty and the staff was so so nice. We were truly surprised by how genuinely kind and helpful the staff was, especially the management team. We definitely had a blast on this "little paradise" and can't wait to return to Maldives.
- Matteo (10/5): Exceptional - Nihaali is a pretty resort in a beautifull place.
The context is an island inhabited by local people... which is an added value because you can immerse yourself in the local culture. There are schools, families and children. There is a bikini beach where you can wear a swimsuit and a few shops to buy food. Nihaali staff are very friendly
- Ibrahim (9/5): I enjoyed my stay and recommend the hotel for solo traveler and couples too. Also for kids lot to enjoy and it’s very sa - It was cozy and comfortable. The room was clean and well ventilated. I enjoyed the privacy and quietness. The staff were friendly and able to speak in English and help me find entertainment. I had nice food especially Ala carte menu. There was a nice restaurant where you can order food and dine at your convenience.
- Lina (10/5): perfect getaway - This is a beautiful little island with everything you want on a holiday. Amazing snorkeling where we saw turtles swimming very close by! This is by far the best snorkeling we had in Maldives! The island is beautiful and green with a beautiful beach.
The hotel is lovely with greenery and comfortable and clean rooms. Loved the breakfast with local massuni and roti. It’s a must try. The in-house Sri lankan chef makes delicious food and helps with special requests too. We had lunch outside the hotel – there are 3 other restaurants to try from. The staff are always ready to help especially Manager Inthi. Thank you very much for catering to our requests!
We will definitely come back!
- Jan (10/5): Rich, untouched house reef. Great staff and service. Nice rooms -
- John (9/5): It’s a very beautiful small local island with beaches you can only dream of, the coral comes right up to the beach and t - The location and the staff were excellent! The food was possibly a little basic, although the mushroom soup was excellent. You have to acknowledge that you’re staying on a local island and not a resort island which I prefer for lots of reasons particularly culture.
- Alex (10/5): Cozy hotel, delicious food and amazing snorkeling - I came to Kudarikilu after visiting 2 other islands in Baa Atoll. I have to say that this island has the most beautiful house reef. You see plenty of turtles and many many colourful fish. I also saw eagle rays and many sting rays.
Nihaali is a great little guesthouse, where the staff make you feel at home. The food is delicious and they were able to cater to my dietary needs. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. nothing
- Maria (10/5): ideal for relaxation - Beautiful island with a great bikini beach. This is the perfect place to have an absolutely peaceful vacation. I loved to spend time on the beach and swim.
The reef is beautiful and you can easily access the house reef from the bikini beach.
The hotel was clean and green, which I loved. The staff was helpful and always eager to assist you. The dining area was new, on the terrace and it’s lovely to dine there especially in the evenings. Breakfast buffet was great with both local food and western food. All the meals were delicious. Thanks to all the staff at Nihaali!
All in all it was the perfect getaway.
- Pia (10/5): authentic Maldives experience - perfect holiday - Nihaali was a great experience for me. The guesthouse seems new and the rooms are cozy and clean with a very comfortable bed! They have great food options for all meals. The highlight for me was the deliciously grilled fish the chef served after our fishing trip. I advise everyone to try this at Nihaali. The fishing excursion was fun and we were lucky enough to see dolphins on the way back to the island! The guesthouse also has a games room where you can play billiards and air hockey and board games.
This island is a hidden gem in Baa Atoll. You feel like this the authentic Maldives experience. The island has a beautiful big public beach, and a separate bikini beach. I went wake-boarding and loved it. They also have stand-up paddling and kayaks to go paddling around the island.
- Jolanta (1/5): Beautiful island, uninhabitable accommodation - Kudarikilu is a beautiful island with house reef which is abundant in marine life. You can spot there: turtles, lion fish, moray eels, sharks, puffer fish and many others. You can snorkel all around the island. Secluded beach with sheltered bay is surrounded by forest. I enjoyed walking around the island a lot and talking to very friendly locals. Nihaali also owns very nice and modern speedboats so it was a joy to travel on the boat. Unfortunately, Nihaali could not disappoint me more. We could not wait to leave and go home. When we have arrived, we were welcomed by manager who walked us to the guest house. We immediately noticed that the guest house is actually a building site. Additional floor was being build. Whilst in the room, we heard drilling, hammering, shouting and everything you would expect when visiting a building site. I was wondering whether we get safety helmets! We could not bear the noise so we have asked manager to stop the works. He advised, he will stop it and advised that people work till 17hrs. At 17:30hrs, we approached him again, asking to stop the works and he said, they will stop it. Works did not stop until after 18hrs. Over next days, works were still carried out “low key”. Everything was covered in dust. Employees were smoking in the hall so the guest house smelt like an ashtray. Employees of the hotel were playing on their phones and could not care less about the environment. This place was health and safety hazard and should have been shut. Management seems to care more about money than comfort of the guests.
We have decided to visit Kudarikilu and Nihaali as reviews were amazing but we have learnt that previous manager has left due to being treated poorly by the owner and other employees were also leaving so no one really cares about continuity of the business. I can’t understand how booking.com is allowing this guesthouse to stay open and promote it as preferred partner program! Absolutely appalling!
Rooms were not cleaned on a daily basis, we had to ask for the room to be cleaned and towels to be changed.
On the day of arrival, manager advised that they will prepare sun lounges but when we have got to the beach, nothing was prepared.
Prior to our arrival, we have stayed in touch with the manager. Communication was somewhat difficult. We have asked few questions but we got an answer to only one. This carried throughout our stay.
- Zoe (10/5): Peaceful, helpful staff, clean, basic living - It’s a very peaceful island, the property is clean, staff Ali is very helpful and friendly. You go here if you want to take a break from the rest of the world. Theres not much to do unless you do the excursions on offer. I didn’t mind this and you get used to not doing much. There are two places you can buy a meal, the locals are friendly. I went in low season and was the only tourist there. Wifi is great at the property. I got a bit tired of the same breakfast every day at the local cafe. The usual chef at the property wasn’t around when I was there.
I got dengue in the Maldives. There is an increase of cases this year on the local islands and in Male. Make sure you wear repellent during the day when the dengue mosquitos are biting.
- Angela (9/5): Great stay on a beautiful local island - The guesthouse was lovely. My room was big and clean, just as advertised. Kudarikilu is a beautiful local island, not too touristy, but well looked-after. The bikini beach is small but has sunbeds and umbrellas. The other (local) beaches are absolutely stunning - with picturesque palm trees, white sands and blue waters. There are a few affordable eateries in the area/within the close proximity to the guesthouse. The food at the in house restaurant could be improved. During my stay I was told they only served continental breakfast (which wasn't that great). Having local options like Mas Huni would have been good. The in house restaurant doesn't have a menu and guests are encouraged to just tell the chef what they'd like to have for dinner.
House keeping don't seem to care much about the guests - during my stay they would gather in the common room, talking loudly/playing table foosball till 2am, keeping the guests awake. Mornings would start with early room cleaning (7am) and loud door banging.
- Jana (9/5): Nice place to relax - Perfect locality with very friendly people. Nice house reef. Very clean room. Rush Is very good in organising snorkeling trips. I would recommend to have ať least simple menu for lunch and dinner, people could chose in advance. The booking of the the boat/plane for the return trip should be smoother.
- Simona (10/5): Amazing, unforgettable stay! - Super cozy boutique hotel where I felt at home. Very friendly and helpful staff!! Beautiful private beach. The island is small and quiet, with very friendly locals. Everything was great!
- A1 (8/5): the stay has been a dive into the paradice of nature and smplicity - The most important element which makes the stay lovable and joyful is the kindness of the staff, and their willingness to help everybody with any request. Both the employees and the manager (the capable Mr Ali) don't stop spending 100% of their energies to satisfy guests.
The second most important thing is that the accommodation is to be appreciated because it is the best you can have in the island environment
This island can be a paradise only for those who accept its limit and the beautiful simple life style … a bit for adaptation willingness and all will be pleasant and satisfying
To enjoy the wormth of this island we (the tourists and guests) must do our best to respect the inhabitants' discrete request of a respectful attitude, starting from an adequate dressing code .... all our efforts will be abondatly remunerated by the inhabitats wonderful attitude towards each guest The island is simple and has some areas which are untidy... at the first glance can appear it is still not prepared to host tourism... but is lovely. Once you get familiar with it, you can fully enjoy the lovely welcoming environment and the lovely attitude the island's inhabitants, who have a smile for every visitor and a wonderful open heart attitude.
At the end of your stay, there'll be worry for the dirt, but a real apreciation towards the wormth of the island and its simplicity . Sincerely once you get home you'll miss it.
- Gleb (10/5): A nice little guesthouse on a beautiful island - A beautiful island with rich vegetation, nice beaches and amazing house reef.
Attentive and helpful staff, trying their best to make your stay comfortable. Friendly locals, always nice and welcoming.
The room was clean and comfortable, with all facilities in good working order.
Big thanks to Ali and all staff for making our holiday so memorable. A special thanks to Chef for the tasty food. The rooms are not exactly soundproof, so any loud conversations or noises from the inner yard may be heard inside. There were only few guests during our stay, so that was never any big problem though.
Bikini-beach was nice and clean, but there was no path cleared in the shallow part of the reef, so it was difficult to reach outer edge of the reef without having to use access path on the public beach.
- Jana (8/5): Very good - The room was large, clean and the bed is really comfortable. You get a beach towel and you can use beds on the beach. There is a one bikini beach close to the apartment. The all staff is really kind and helpful!
- Rebecca (10/5): Wonderful daily snorkelling on a small, beautiful island! - Nihaali is a really fine little guesthouse. The staff are super friendly and always eager to help. Bikini Beach is a bit of a walk, but it's really not far away. A very fine and small island.
Of the 3 islands we've seen so far in the Maldives, we had here the best house reef for snorkelling with turtles, rays and fish every day. A dream! nothing
- Yamile (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rodolphe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Atrum (10/5): Great experience - The room had everything we needed, the hotel has several games you can play for free (such as table tennis, table football...). There is a lot of greenery on the premises which I really enjoyed. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. I really liked the chef, he was eager to impress with his cooking skills. The staff is very attentive and the manager tries to involve you in as much of island life as possible. He gave us a tour of the island, answering our many questions. We were invited to clean the island with the locals and to participate in a hen party. Unfortunately, we left before seeing the decorating of the island and witnessing the local wedding. The house reef is mostly made of soft coral (which I found more beautiful than the hard one) and it's easy to see sea turtles there. Unfortunately, I arrived with an ear infection and the manager was quick to take me to the doctor. He even brought me the meds so I didn't have to go to the pharmacy myself, without even being asked! The entire hotel staff was very kind. Between the islands we visited (others being Male, Fulhadhoo, B. Maalhos and Digurah), Kudarikilu is, by far the best for experiencing the local life - it seems most genuine. In the evenings, you can observe locals fishing from the pier, admire baby sharks and stingrays that spend the night in the shallows, watch locals play volleyball (or even join in). A minor annoyance was the clogged shower head which was spraying water everywhere.
- Savarin (10/5): Exceptional - It was an amazing trip!! Nihaali made our trip very special. There are many activities you could do here. We loved dolphins watching trip as we saw so many dolphins! At night, they took us to see bioluminescent phenomenon.
Totally recommended for people who love to enjoy nature without many tourist! :)
The room was comfortable and worth the price. The staffs were very friendly that you will feel like you are at home:)
- Beata (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic hospitality! Good food, clean and comfortable room. The island with coral reef from the beach. This is all what you need for your perfect holiday! Ali, the manager helps with everything. Thank you for the unforgettable time! Beata & Mike
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional - Had a great time at Nihaali and would totally recommend this place to everyone.
A very warm welcome from Ali and staff, and great communication before and during our stay. Everyone is willing to go above and beyond to keep guests happy. Ali gave us a phone with a local sim to keep in touch at all times, which came in very handy. One day I got a wasp sting, so Ali took me to the health center immediately just in case. Very kind and thoughtful of him.
We appreciated the great choice of food for breakfast and separately prepared non-spicy food for buffet dinner. The staff make your meals exactly as you ask. As far as it’s possible on a remote island, of course.
Our room was beautifully decorated and had extra comfortable bed and pillows. The bikini beach is just as great with beach towels and specially arranged areas. So if there are more guests, everyone can still have some privacy.
Would love to come back one day!
- Rania (9/5): great value experience - Ali, the manager, was extremely thoughtful and helpeful. We really discovered the local life, maldivian people are extremely nice and respecful. You get to use a very private and beautiful beach, a unique experience. I was disappointed by the room. It was not the one I saw on the pictures and it had no outside windows. Also - you should know that transfers are really expensive, so that could change the budget of your stay, but Nihalii provides a great value transfer compared to other resorts
