It is pretty dark inside so you constantly need lights burning to give more light. I was happy with everything else. Which is hectic with electricity being so expensive

The cottage is incredibly spacious, well equipped, and thoughtfully prepared—especially appreciated was arriving after dark to find the lights and TV already on, which made us feel instantly welcome. The space is cozy, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable—truly a home away from home. The host was attentive, responsive, and very helpful throughout our stay. Area is nice and s - The accommodation is a side-house to a big villa on a large property. It has its own entrance and place for the car. The house itself is very spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished and everything is there what you need for longer stay and also remote working. Nicole, tho host, is very friendly and helpful. Thank you for your tips for good restaurants in the vicinity. Hillcrest is very nice and there is everything you need in walking distance to the house. As it is Durban it should be noted that the security measures are very good and we had no problem at all. We will definitely come again, when coming next to Durban. N/A

Peaceful and quiet surroundings, yet all shopping and restaurants are simply 3 minutes away. Loved the beautiful garden setting of the cottage. Parking space was really appreciated too. Thank You!

Beds very comfortable. The shower wasn't hot enough & fluctuated in temperature. There was hair in the drain on arrival. Couldn't work the TV. Could be another ice tray in the freezer.

The bed was too comfy & clean a solid 10. Wifi speed was great. I've never seen a place with so many two pin points, convenience at it's best🤌. When you walk into the cottage the smell is absolutely amazing. It is exceptionally clean and is equipped with everything you need and much more. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding and towels are super soft and it smells nice. This is a gem of a place and I would highly recommend Lavender Cottage.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, even giving my little boy access to their private pool. The bed linen and towels were luxurious; and the snacks and milk left for us were so thoughtful. The private entrance was also a plus. Some parts of the garden at the sides needed tidying.

The cottage exudes a sense of serenity, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. One of the highlights of my stay was the impeccable cleanliness and organization of the space. It was evident that the hosts took great pride in maintaining a spotless environment. The linens looked fresh, the bathroom gleamed, and every corner of the cottage reflected a commitment to cleanliness that greatly enhanced my overall comfort. The kitchenette was well-equipped, allowing for easy meal preparation and entertaining your visitors. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as a selection of tea, instant coffee, filter coffee machine and locally sourced treats that were graciously provided. It's evident that the hosts went above and beyond to ensure that guests have everything they need for a delightful stay. The bed in Lavender Cottage was exceptionally comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. The attention to detail extended to the small comforts, including plush pillows and high-quality bedding, ensuring a truly rejuvenating experience. The location of Marshall's Home Away from Home is another standout feature. Lavender Cottage is situated in a peaceful and scenic setting, offering a welcome escape into nature. Whether enjoying a morning coffee on the private patio or strolling through the well-maintained gardens, guests can easily unwind and Recharge. The duvet in the second room and the throws might have needed a wash prior to our stay however everything else was clean and fresh nonetheless.
