- Philip (4/5): Badly maintained flat which needs updating. - The location was good. The wifi was fast (fibre). 500 Mbps. Normally the host will leave a few essentials in the flat e.g. oil, vinegar, salt etc. We found three nespresso coffee pods for our four night stay and one of them was dodgy and did not work. The flat was noisy and we could hear the neighbours get up, go to bed and do all the other things that neighbours do!
I forgot to say...
A week prior to arrival we received a couple of emails - apparently from the property - asking us to pay the tourist tax. This was normal - EXCEPT they asked us to give our bank card number and expiry date via email!
A few days before arrival we received another email - again apparently from the property - asking for a security deposit of 1700 euros! We told the property via Booking.com messaging and reported it to Customer services. Obviously something was amiss - we offered to pay the tourist tax on arrival at the property.
I could go on to mention the window that didn't lock, the broken shower head, the broken bulbs etc - I have included photos anyway (unfortunately photo submission doesn't work for this location)
Not cheap either.
- Justyna (8/5): Apartment is great, but be prepared for a lot of stress with organization. - Amazing terrace, clean, comfortable, it has everything you need! :) —The electricity was going off 3 times
—Staff unfortunately made this trip very stresfull for my parents:
* i informed the office via messages and by phone 1 week before that the link that they are sending for CHECK IN ONLINE does not work… booking removes links that u send privately and I asked for sending it various times to my email, but no one replied to any of my messages here for the past 4 days before the arrival.
* they use their private system to answer on the agency website so here on booking you are not getting half of the messages and u need to check it there
* on the day of my parents arrival no one was answering the phone in Barcelona office and on my last hope I called office in Girona and they fixed the situation providing me the link for online check in,but only few hours before their arrival even thought I tried to contact them on booking many times and even sent private email and still nothing.
* when I asked why no one s answering in office in Barcelona they told me that this is (Girona) their main line and it a fine. But how was I suppose to know that? Apartment is in Barcelona and they sent this number to call. If I wouldn’t come up with the idea to call to Girona my parents would stay without apartament in Barcelona cause no one replied to any of my emails or messages how to get in!
* when they finally provided me details how to get the keys to the apartment and to inform when my parents arrive. BUT my parents needed to wait to get the keys because lady in the office didn’t speak good English and mistaken 15 minutes and 50 (even though I was texting them on booking all the time: when they landed, when they took taxi and 15,10 and 5 minutes before their arrival….
Even though the lady that brought the keys was very nice, it still didn’t change the experience with the other staff and made this trip stresfull for my parents days in advance without any information from them.
