• Kjell Erik (10/5): Bra läge och bra pris. - Lummig och skön miljö, en lite bäck som porlade nedanför balkongen med rikt fågelliv och grädden på moset utsikt mot Sri Pada. Bra och väl tilltagen frukost, french fries till middag sticker ut, riktigt goda. Trevlig och kvick personal i största allmänhet god och vällagad mat. Här behövs varken A/C eller fläkt det är tillräckligt svalt för en nordbo och den iskalla duschen ser till att man vaknar på morgonen. Här går man ner i hotellet inte upp.
• Corine (5/5): It's a backpacker's hotel: Right size your expectations - Proximity to Adam's Peak - it's an easy walk to the entrance from the hotel. The manager and the wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Delicious buffet on the second night of our stay! The room decor was extremely sparse and outdated (again, this is a backpacker's hotel). We only had cold water in the shower, but did have hot water in the sink. The linens needed to be cleaned. What was the most difficult was having to walk up and down three steep flights of steps to our room. This was a killer after climbing Adam's Peak.

• Wolfgang (10/5): Ein Hotel zum Wohlfüllen und Nahe am Sri Pada (Adams Peak) - Das Slightly Chilled Hotel hat eine hervorragende Lage: Zimmer mit direktem Blick zum Sri Pada und wenige Minuten von der Aufstiegsstelle zum Sri Pada entfernt. Geräumiges und helles Zimmer, das sehr sauber ist und außerdem ruhig. Die Familie, die das Hotel führt, steht einem mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und gibt wertvolle Tipps zu lokalen Naturschauspielen, z.B. Morey waterfall

Super aardig personeel die helemaal ingesteld zijn om ontbijt te verzorgen nadat je 's ochtends terugkomt van de klim naar Adams Peak. Mochten ook later uitchecken om even uit te rusten en te douchen.

В номерах есть чайник, большие удобные кровати, большой хороший балкон. Состояние номеров уже изношенное, но провести ночь можно вполне комфортно. Были приятно удивлены великолепным знанием английского хозяина, у которого можно было получить всю необходимую информацию. Единственная проблема, с которой столкнулись, это неработающий входной замок в номере - дверь не закрывалась, но достаточно быстро вопрос был решен.

• Adam (10/5): Great launch pad for Sri Pada - If you are going up Sri Pada it's a great location to base yourself. The staff are friendly and helpful and give lots of good advice. The facilities are clean and functional, I'd highly recommend!
• Dawn (9/5): Superb - Beautiful balcony views of Adams Peak from our room and the dining room. Welcoming and kind staff ready to help with logistics if you plan to go up the peak. It is a short walk from the hotel to the beginning of the trail. Tasty food in the restaurant. Initially no electric kettle in the room but one as quickly brought when I asked.

Room and bathroom were very clean, spacious, comfortable, and very bright. The opening to the private balcony was also very appreciable. The setting with the river below and the view over Adam's Peak was very southing. The place is very calm. The hotel manager and his wife were very welcoming and helpful. The food was very good. The location is perfect to do the walk to Adam's Peak, right from the hotel. No hesitation to recommend this place. When we are eating in the evening, there is a TV screen in the dining room on which is displayed some pop music. I would have much more appreciated some local music ;-) ! Other than that, everything was perfect for us.

• Alessandra (8/5): Perfect spot for the Adam’s Peak hike - Very bright and airy room with huge windows over Adam’s Peak, it was very clean and only a 10 minutes walk from the beginning of the hike trail. Very quiet with only the soothing noise of a nearby creek. I had the warmest and most powerful shower here after coming back from the hike!! The whole structure is very organised with screens showing info on how to get to either Kandy, Ella or Colombo by train and also useful weather info for the hike. The bathrooms are connected through an open vent so you can hear your neighbour’s bathroom business. The food was nothing special (but then again I’m vegetarian so I only had a few options)

It was also a good starting point for the hike up to Adam's peak, the reason for us traveling to this location. Breakfast was good( fruit plate with a big flapjack). Nothing to complain about.

• Kseniia (9/5): Superb - We stayed in a family room with a mountain view. It was quite spacious for 2 adults and 1 child. The room had 2 large and comfortable beds, a table, a hanger, a TV, 2 armchairs, and an electric kettle. Tea, cream and sugar were also provided. Great news: there is always hot water in the bathroom! The staff was very welcoming. In addition, the owner gave us advice about the time of the climb, since a crowd of pilgrims had come for the Aurudu festival. There is only one outlet for charging devices, but I think this is not a problem for most tourists

• Alice (10/5): The perfect base for Adam’s Peak ! - Slightly chilled was the perfect base from which to do the Adam’s Peak hike. The staff were friendly and highly professional, offering advice about the hike etc. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the room very clean. The location was perfect, a 10 min walk from the start of the trail and with beautiful views of the mountain. Would highly recommend! Nothing :)

• Hanne (8/5): Very good value for money - we do recommend Slightly Chilled - Check in and out went well, DO order continental breakfast (good value for money) since the kitchen is not prepared for srilankan breakfast, the room was very clean, lots of hot water, good wifi and very cheap with a great view to Adams Peak. The staff/owner had good recommandations for nice walks in the tea plantations. Our last nice the "mamma" went to the kitchen and made us the best rice n' curry we had in Sri Lanka - so good! Srilankan breakfast - please be honest that this is not a real possibillity to have. Your continental breakfast was real good!

The hotel manager was really helpful in every aspect of our stay and arranged forward transport. The location was very good on the edge of all the hustle and bustle with great views from the rooms. The food was really good fresh cooked by the managers mother. The taxi arranged for us had a really nice driver who was safe but made our long trip interesting. Very happy overall

• Francesca (8/5): Good base for an early morning hike. - Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was airy and spacious and had a nice balcony. Nice touch including bottles of water and tea/coffee facilities. There was a gong noise that repeatedly occurred throughout the night, my partner opened the door to try and establish where it came from but couldn’t work it out. Appreciate this May not have been coming from the guesthouse but something to bear in mind if you’re getting up early to climb Adam’s Peak. Also, service charge was added to the entire stay and items purchased in the shop, not just food and drink we had as meals.
