- Chanel (10/5): It was wonderful. - Uncle Tom, the owner of the property welcomed us warmly. He went above and beyond to show us around and made sure that we were comfortable. N/A!! The experience was absolutely faultless.
- Bredenhand (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful decor and fully equiped kitchen. Loved the braai area. Family friendly. Location is amazing
- Marieke (1/5): I could not sleep, it was cold and crummy. - The interior was decorated nicely. Our visit was in winter time. There were no blankets other than a summer sheet, a throw and a 2mm thick blanket. There was also no way to heat the house. The air conditioner control was missing and we were only given 42 units of electricity for three days, and told that when it was finished we had to pay more! There was no heater either. The beds were as hard as rock and I had to wash all the mugs, glasses, fridge and microwave before using them because they were so dirty!
- Russell (10/5): Exceptional - Cottage was homely. Just fantastic The beds were way too hard

- Wendy (8/5): Very good - Beautifully furnished cottage in a quiet and secure area. The cottage is best suited to 2 couples or a couple with 2 younger children. It is very well equipped with what you need. The welcoming touch of a coffee corner with biscuits and treats on arrival was special. There are no shops nearby except the Strandblommetjie Cafe which we didn't go to. We shopped in Jeffrey's Bay which is not far away.
We went to Jeffrey's Bay, St Francis Bay and Gqeberha from Gamtoos, all of them not too far away. There is a lot to do in the area like horse riding, Jan se Gat, Ferry Hotel, Bird sanctuary, etc.
The surrounding area is of exceptional natural beauty. The river is great for swimming and sunbathing; to reach the beach you need to walk across the dune field. I did swim in the sea although there are no life guards and mostly just fisherman on the beach so I remained in the shallow water. You reach the main river mouth by walking towards Jeffrey's Bay (Either along the beach or over the dunes). It is like paradise and restores the soul. Birds, birds and more birds!!
- Ester (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donovan (8/5): Very good - everything was great, enjoyed the walks on the beach and saw the most amazing sunset. maybe just wifi to be installed and plugs next to bed to charge your devices.
