Guest Reviews
- Elizabeth (9/5): -
- Lee (8/5): - Long black hair in the master bed as well as on the soap holder in the ensuite shower. "Couch" directly in front of the bed is a bed which if you sit back into it means your legs are dangling horizontally in the air.
- Meagan (8/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): - Was comfortable and nice and roomy close to what we needed Just needed abit more sugar.. coffee..dishwashing tablets
- Isabel (7/5): Comfortable and very affordable accommodation in Bendigo - Location was perfect for what we needed and directions to the property and how to retrieve keys were explained very clearly and punctually before our arrival. The hosts contacted us at the beginning and end of our stay to ensure we were comfortable and if we needed anything, which we appreciated.
It was so well price compared to other accommodation in the area, so we appreciate that and will likely stay again. It is an older house, so there are permanent stains on the carpet throughout and just old house things (old bathroom and kitchen) but it was clean and comfortable for our stay. Loved that it had 2 bathrooms and seperate bedrooms, full kitchen with everything you need, and a comfortable lounge area. Loved all the games in the coffee table, although we didn't get time to use them, felt very homely. The back patio area could use a bit of a tidy up (sweep, dust off the table etc) - we don't have pets so this was not essential to our stay and so we just stayed inside. And this will be less of an issue with the colder months approaching, but that is some feedback we had.
We did also see quite a few ants around the kitchen on the first few days (used the bug spray provided which deterred them), but the hosts may need to put out some ant baits around the place to get rid of them for good.
- Zoran (10/5): Excellent location and great facilities. Stayed for work trip - Fully contained and comfortable, great for work trip
- Dave B (7/5): Functionally all OK, but some minor matters could be improved. Will send a seperate EM to owners. -
- Carolyn (7/5): - Comfy main bed ( although sheets terrible , thin and cheap ) . Plenty of utensils etc provided. Good having washing machine. Quiet area. Bit old and musty . Outdoor area unusable due to dust / dirt , wouldn’t take much to clean down prior to guests arriving . Main Shower mouldy . Pillows and sheets cheap and/or old - worst sheets on main bed I’ve ever had - lucky we had own pillows at least .
- McCready (8/5): Excellent for our bball tournament weekend away - Location and space Not all tv channels worked
- Bianca (10/5): Modern unit made my stay run smoothly - The unit was spacious yet still had a comfy feel. Large aircon / heating unit was efficient though out the units rooms. Two fictional bathrooms would definitely come on handy for a larger group or family. Fantastic property.
- Aakanksha (7/5): -
- Koops (8/5): - Thankyou for the bottle of wine, the house is lovely, parking was great and the beds were beautiful 😍 the property was pet friendly and this meant we could bring our dog who is part of our family Was a little pricey but we were allowed to bring my dog along with us.
- Peter Brilliant (4/5): The poor back unit no 2 is nice, but needs lots of tender love and care. - The unit is basically sound but it could be much better.
Property location, Kitchen, laundry, bathroom, WIFI are working perfectly! Really you seriously need to spend some money on the unit. Please refer to the list below as your "to do" items:
* The "landscaping" is well done if it represents the future climate collapse on the planet.
* We sent a text message to you which was not responded to or addressed.
* Considerable rubbish was blown through the front "yard" and carport and we had to collect.
* An obviously blocked, and recently overflowed, drainage grate in the driveway with flooded debris in it.
* Cobwebs hanging and floating around in every room and outside the unit.
* Marked and stained dirty walls in multiple rooms (come on, I'm betting the place hasn't been painted since the 1980s when it was built).
* The upstairs AC was not worth the electricity it was consuming.
* There were three attempts at smoke detectors upstairs (one hanging open) - was there a functioning one?
* Filthy placemats on the dining table.
* And the final capping glory goes to the delightful sewerage (?) stain on the ceiling above the dining table and adjacent wall.
* Really, are you paying the cleaner, if there is one? You charged us $128.00 cleaning fee plus $12.50 Property Service Charge (should be questioned) and the unit wasn't clean!.
Hopefully you can address these issues before some other people staying there are as disappointed as we were.
Cheers

- Susan (9/5): Not being locals finding driving around Bendigo is quite challenging we kept getting lost trying to find the property in - Warm and spacious and an easy to get in and out with the new smart lock Just the area
- Bianca (1/5): Owners aren’t responding you’re talking to staff extremely strange - Unprofessional
I was ill informed them I wasn’t checking in until another day
I didn’t expect a refund
Yet I was then told on a Sunday not even 24 hrs notice a valuation would be done yet they said they changed plans a week earlier?
Also the staff communicate not the owners
Many have had issues
Cut n paste reply’s are ridiculous
I have never complained
I asked if the front unit I have stayed in before was available ?
It was yet no answer
Also ableist
Mice throughout
They ask you to basically do all housework before you leave
As I said … I have never complained about my accomodation
Even the errors with front unit Mice ? Ableist non combination and false accusations
- Emma (10/5): Good dog friendly accomodation - Great property to have your dog.

- Viliami (10/5): Perfect getaway from the hustle n bustle of the city but close enough to enjoy the supermarkets, shopping and restaurant - Right from the very beginning it was smooth. Hosts got in contact right away and were very friendly and welcoming. The check in process was smooth. The house was super cute. Shower was amazing and the location is just perfect! Not too far and not too close. Perfect little private getaway. Nothing I could really fault the property with. Maybe some locks on the bathroom doors is all I could really think of. Having kids and no privacy was all I could complain about haha.
- Sandra (10/5): Perfect location, warm and comfortable stay. - The apartment was spacious and the bedrooms had a good separation from each other. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable.
The loungeroom was warm and comfortable with a large tv. All the essential items were provided for our stay.
- Cherie1313 (10/5): Exceptional - Unit 2 very comfortable for a family with 2 kids. Heating throughout the house was excellent. Full kitchen with sufficient cookware. Washer and dryer were great!
- Jenkins (9/5): Superb - Homely, clean, spacious, comfy, well stocked, great location, great price. Pet friendly - U1 nice little courtyard. Such a lovely unit. Thankyou
- Sally (8/5): The accommodation met our needs and we loved our stay in Bendigo. - For our needs the location was good and the place was private. Great facilities such as washing machine and dryer. The cleaning appeared somewhat superficial when we first arrived but was quickly rectified when we contacted the host.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Long (8/5): Very good - great location. very comfortable bed. nice unit. outdoor light doesn't work. some of the windows needed a clean pictures need a dust.
- Rosalind (8/5): Very good -
- Bruce (5/5): a nice townhouse with the above shortcomings, so could have been better.....car damaged by driveway - nice townhouse and location upstairs air con not cold, hot upstairs, could not sleep...the apron in the gutter out front did not line up with the driveway, so the first time i reversed out it did over $1,000 worth of damage to my front bumper bar and r/h lower sill....there was a short in the air con switch downstairs which would cut power to the t.v. and powerpoints [dangerous]...only 4 towels for 6 people [towels were as soft as a dry hession bag]...
- Hayley (10/5): Very Relaxing, Felt like being at home - Great Location and the beds were very comfortable, one of the best showers I've ever had. For one night the child in the unit behind constantly running and stomping up and down the stairs at 6.30am not the hosts fault but was very loud.
- Xerri (9/5): Superb -
- Bernadette (10/5): Exceptional - Such a well appointed unit! We appreciated the laundry facility, iron, coathangers and drying rack. Comfortable huge bed, great living area, off street parking and a walk into the centre of town. A lovely surprise. Thanks so much for the wine too.
- Glen (8/5): It was roomy with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and spacious living area. - Good location
- Pauline (7/5): Excellent very grateful - I actually booked another property through booking.com and was double booked. It was 43 degrees and I traveled 6 hours with two dogs and a daughter. We were very upset. However, the host responded almost immediately and within 60 minutes we were at their property cooling down. So shoutout to the host.
- Lena (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dearne (4/5): Disappointing - Having a washing machine to wash clothes… having a dish washer to wash dishes! The fact we as a family of 4 had to sleep in the lounge room with the air con running not stop because the up stairs air con stopped working.. 2 electrician to come out and still couldnt work the problem out.. not very good service.. we could really only use the shower/toilet upstairs… way to hot to sleep upstairs… mouldy bath mat that we were standing on, glad I checked after the 1 night.. back yard isn’t very clean, weeds that have been killed but just left there.. bits of tin in the back yard.. hardly any body wash to wash ourselves… no soap to wash your hands in the kitchen…..
- Lynne (8/5): Very good -
- Donna (8/5): Great location in Bendigo! - We loved the location, it was quiet at night, the beds were comfy, the shower was amazing, the kitchen was well appointed and the yard was great for the dog. There was no coffee machine. That would be our only criticism and the instant coffee provided looked like it had been there a while so was undrinkable.
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Janielle (9/5): Great space, our second stay - Great location to stay centrally with our dogs whilst visiting family Nothing, although the back yard could use a weeding
- Warwick (2/5): Very poor - Good location. Comfortable beds. Modern kitchen. The place needs a complete clean. The carpets are soiled and there are marks on the walls.
Also, two of the smoke alarms were not working as they didn't have any batteries.
- Lisette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liz (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (8/5): Comfortable, easy reach of the city and very well equipped. - Comfortable, well equipped and plenty of room. Difficult to reach because of street setup. Appreciated labelling especially in the kitchen.
- Ruth (8/5): Comfortable - Excellent location, beds very comfortable Needs a tea pot and coffee pot, towels were worn
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - Location, unit was great, very clean. Nothing
- Rebecca (8/5): Good - Location was great, spacious little home the outside is deceiving. Lounge room was comfortable and spacious. Smart tv was great, good wifi connection.
Handy having 2 bathrooms and a spacious laundry with a dryer, perfect when travelling with small children and babies.
Plenty of blankets, heaters in the bedrooms was a nice touch especially for the colder months. One of the single bed mattresses was to hard, the reclining couch was more comfortable
- Linda (9/5): Superb - Great location close to town. The property had the essentials including laundry detergent which was a nice surprise.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): Superb - The location was perfect for our visit to Bendigo. Property was well equipped with some nice added extras. Very clean and decorated well. Our stay was very comfortable. We travel to Bendigo regularly and will stay again
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Charlene (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable accommodation. Perfect for our show dogs attending the Bendigo dog shows.
Heaters in the bedrooms were such a bonus in the cold weather. Lovely hot shower
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was fantastic
- G. (9/5): Very Cosy and complete property in a good location - Key box code was expected via sms but later available via email which I don't have access to when travelling. Sms is the way to go for messages when travelling.
- Karen (7/5): Good -
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trudi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynn (8/5): perfect for a few days - very clean and spacious
- Gaelene (7/5): Close to town and my small dog was happy and safe in a secure yard. - It was pet friendly, and there aren’t many in Bendigo. I found it hard to heat, especially upstairs.
Some areas were dusty e.g bathroom cupboards and there was a lack of cleaning products.
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbara (2/5): Not true to their published photos, dirty and smelly and we wished we hadn't booked here. - We had a very bad experience here, but the bed was comfortable, even though the sheets smelled bad. If the kitchen had been clean, it would have been okay. After an early start and a lot of hours of driving, we arrived in Bendigo and went to our accommodation, which was Unit Two, Kennington Units. Straight away the place looked unkept as there were leaves piled up at the front door and the backyard was bare and untidy. As soon as we went inside, we saw there was dust on the front table. We went straight into the kitchen and our shoes stuck to the floor. We then had a good look around. The front and top of the dishwasher was dirty, there was dirt and dead insects on the floor. The wooden board where the wine was sitting had food stuck to it. There was dust and dead insects on the net valance and windowsills and the windows were filthy. The low sofa in the lounge area was stained, the towels were of poor quality as were the sheets and there was an odour to them. The worst and grossest thing was the filthy carpet.
We got hold of the owner, and she apologised, and said she would send someone to clean. She does not live in Bendigo and employs someone to clean, who is not doing his job. A young man, who was her nephew, turned up and said he would clean, but he was not happy about it. We left, even though we were tired, and when we came back, not long after, he had gone. He had done a couple of things. We then had more interactions with the owner; in fact, she texted, phoned and messaged through Booking.com. We were always polite, even though she was interrupting our holiday by telling us her woes and giving excuses for the state of the place. As compensation, she offered a night's refund and asked me to cancel the second night. I tried to do this, but I couldn't because of the cancellation policy. When I told her this, she said she didn't have a cancellation policy, not true! She then said she would cancel it from her end. We have it in writing! We used to have a B&B and know the procedure for host's cancellations, so were surprised when she only partially refunded the second night.
- Emma (9/5): Fantastic family stay in a cute Goldfields cottage - This was a cute cottage in a convenient location (for us). There was undercover parking which we appreciated. The cottage was near a busy road but was quiet inside. The decor was comfy and modern and the courtyard is private and covered. There's a snack bar and Mexican restaurant within walking distance, and other shops super close by. The road access is a little hard to work out, which is not to do with the accommodation, it's to do with the City. Once we figured it out, we were golden.
- Kanokrut (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dafydd (9/5): Perfect for what we wanted - Pleasant house in a nice quiet area, almost all we required except any way of making coffee Cleaning fee of $128 for 2 nights.
- Carol (10/5): Lovely visit to Bendigo - Good location. Excellent WiFi. Bed comfortable N/A
- Chelsea (10/5): A hidden gem! Presented very well, had absolutely everything. Perfect location. - A hidden gem! Presented very well, had absolutely everything. Perfect location.
- Janielle (9/5): Great spot to stay in Bendigo and we would stay again - Great location, dog friendly, excellent air con, comfy furniture, great price and accomodating hosts Nothing, it was great
- Sheryl (10/5): A lovely stay in Bendigo - The property is very clean and comfortable. Lovely comfortable beds and pillows plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower. The kitchen was very well stocked with even some basic condiments. A bottle of wine was a very thoughtful extra. The location was perfect for us. Everything was lovely. Maybe some extra seating in the lounge, but I'm just being picky really.
- Keenan (7/5): It suited a purpose, happy to recommend but would be good if it was cheaper as rooms were very hot. - House was big enough for all of us. It was overpriced for the quality of the accommodation. Would have been good to have a double sofa bed instead of singles.
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional - A very comfortable and convenient facility at a sensible price.
- Amy (10/5): Excellent! Comfortable, peaceful. My service dog and I will always stay here when in Bendigo. - Excellent accommodation. Very accommodating of me and my Medical Service Dog at last minute notice. The privacy of a house and yard for a very reasonable fee, comparable with a motel fee. The hosts were excellent and were so flexible - they allowed me a later check out when I awoke with a terrible migraine on check out day. They offered an extended stay and if I could have stayed I would! Property is very comfortable with everything you could need for a long stay. Absolute peace and quiet. I will always stay here when travelling to Bendigo.
- Thompson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dearne (8/5): But over all it was fantastic place to stay, it was like I was living in my own house, - I didn’t like the fact that the little court yard had dog poo in the gardens….
- Catalina (9/5): Lovely stay in Bendigo - The proximity to the centre of Bendigo. It's a cozy & tidy townhouse. Pet friendly, which is a bonus for us with our fur babies. Home away from home. Bronwen & Dennis respond to any queries in no time. The welcome wine is a nice touch. Although we only stayed overnight, it was a comfortable stay. Nothing
- Sue (9/5): Great place! - Location was great, a very nice quiet area. Facilities fantastic, there was everything we could have possibly required. The artwork gave the place a very contemporary and modern feel, the whole place was very welcoming! Some great extra touches/inclusions (even wine on arrival - though we don't drink red wine). King bed was super comfortable.
- Graham (5/5): Dated property that needs a serious upgrade both inside & out. But still good value as is - location is good if you have a car. lots of places to see 2-3 k's away
Nothing much within waking distance The outdoor areas of the property looked terrible
No mirror in the down stairs area-possibly locate in the laundry near the tub on the side wall to enable shaving.-leaving the upstairs bath room for women
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (10/5): It was great. Exactly what we needed. Will rebook again in the future. - It was clean and spacious. Main bedroom bed was super comfortable. There wasn’t enough towels for the whole family so 2 children had to share
- Valeria (10/5): Exceptional - Tidy, clean and perfect location for our one night stay in Bendigo. Communication was perfect and our cat, that was travelling with us, loved it too! Noisy neighbours with big loud dogs, but nothing the host could do about it!
- G. (9/5): An excellent unit near central Bendigo - An excellent unit in a good central location. Well set up and clean. After an initial problem with the internet the host promptly solved it. Some drain odours in the bathroom. Applying Sodium Per-Carbonate helped.
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (10/5): Really nice spacious townhouse. The comfort and location made our stay carefree and easy. - Very spacious, clean and very well equiped.
- Josh (8/5): Excellent place to live for a family - All facilities required for a family available. Dryer broke once & wifi gone for a night but was fixed as soon as possible.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Tara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (9/5): Very enjoyable stay. - Very comfortable. Complimentary bottle of wine. Good heating. Courtyard could have been more presentable. Easily understood entrance instructions but perhaps mention to press unlock icon as it was a bit difficult to see.
- Victoria (7/5): Good -
- Ha (10/5): Just stay for trip and happy with that facility - Place distance near shopping mall restaurant city House is cold when winter time , house made by wooden .
- Anna (10/5): Very comfortable and would use this again - Very nice property and located very close to city and suburbs and easy to get around from there. Nothing
- Rheif (6/5): They are nice host easy to get along with and the house feel like home thank you for having me - It was cosy, comfy and nice and tidy There was nothing wrong
- Olivia (9/5): Lovely home feel stay. - Wine and biscuits was a lovely touch. Providing basic oil, cooking spray, dishwashing liquid and laundry powder was really helpful.
We had a lovely home feel stay. Outdoor area was untidy due to tree dropping berries over table and chairs.
Main bedroom shower door needs maintenance as door doesn't close properly.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - It was a great place to stay when we needed somewhere due to our home needing repair, we stayed 2 months unexpectedly, and felt safe and secure😊.Bronwen and Dennis were available whenever we needed anything, so with that and beautiful comfy beds, would definitely recommend to other family or friends, thankyou😊!. Nothing !
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Location, Comfortable and welcoming, Dog friendly.
- Zoe (10/5): Great location and great space - It was exactly what we needed, I’m pleased we had cooking facilities and the heater worked well N/A
- Matthew (10/5): The place was fantastic. Lots of room. Very clean and well furnished. -
