• Esthi (10/5): - Just the most perfect stay ever in the most beautiful garden! Rooms where clean and comfortable. The area is so calming and relaxing. But Damith and his wife are just the best part abozt the whole stay! Never met such nice hosts! Try the rice and curry from Damiths wife - it‘s just the best! We felt so welcomed! They went out of their way to make us feel at home. Also great TukTuk Service through Damith. Thank You so much again for having us!
• Reinier (10/5): Heerlijk - Ik heb een heerlijke tijd gehad in deze homestay! Ik zat op de eerste verdieping en had een mooie kamer (2p) met een lekker balkon erbij. In de ochtend had ik telkens een heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt. Je zit heerlijk middenin de natuur en je hoort overal de vogeltjes om je heen. Kortom een heerlijke plek om tot rust te komen. Daarbij zorgt de gastheer en zn familie ervoor dat je je helemaal welkom voelt. Checkt altijd even in of alles okee is, regelt tuktuks voor je en zorgt voor een lekker sapje elke dag. Je komt dus niks te kort.

• ptachka1 (10/5): A heartfelt holiday in a family-run guest house. - Мы провели два прекрасных дня в гостеприимном доме Дамита и его семьи. И хотя дом расположен в некотором удалении от знаменитой Сигирии и основных туристических объектов, для нас это не было проблемой. Наш хозяин владелец тук-тука на котором он в любой момент отвезет вас туда, куда вам необходимо. Когда семья Дамита узнала, что мы фотографируем птиц и животных, они стали нам помогать в поиске интересных птиц в большом, красивом саду, обустроенном с любовью милой хозяйкой этого гостевого дома! Дамит так же помог нам организовать интересную лодочную экскурсию по озеру, где мы смогли сделать много отличных фотографий. Мы жили в комнате на первом этаже с террасой, комната достаточно большая и уютная, все продумано до мелочей, идеальная чистота, удобная кровать, есть кондиционер. Стол, который нам накрыли на ужин Дамит и его семья, был очень обильным и разнообразным. И очень, очень вкусным. Завтраки тоже были очень вкусными. Нам было жалко расставаться с нашими новыми друзьями, если мы еще раз приедем на Шри Ланка мы обязательно вернемся сюда. То, что я не знаю сингальский язык, чтобы свободно общаться с этими прекрасными людьми. Больше ничего не мешало мне наслаждаться временем, проведенным в этом гостеприимном доме.

Everything you need is there. The food was amazing! The breakfasts were very, very good. We also had the best dinner in all of Sri Lanka there! The owners are wonderful, very kind and good people. It is really worth going there!

• Buket (10/5): Happy to be your first Turkish guests 😊 - Our stay was truly wonderful. The room was very clean and cozy, and it had everything we needed. Having hot water was also a big plus for us. The view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. It’s a homestay, and the family is incredibly sweet and helpful. They have their own tuk-tuk and kindly took us wherever we needed to go. They even treated us to fresh juices made from fruits picked from their own garden. The breakfast was amazing. Thank you for everything. We were very happy to be your first Turkish guests.
• Nele (10/5): Beste Unterkunft, unbedingt buchen!! - Die Familie war so unfassbar lieb, die Lage war ein bisschen außerhalb, was jedoch gar kein Problem war, weil der Gastvater ein eigenes TukTuk hat und einen fährt oder einem ein Tuktuk jederzeit für gute Preise organisiert. Die Unterkunft war wirklich blitzsauber und das Essen soooo lecker. Zum Abendessen wurde uns Kottu und 9 verschiedene Currys frisch gekocht + Dessert für gerade mal 2000Lkr pro Person. Wir reisen seit 7 Wochen durch Sri Lanka und das war mit Abstand die schönste Unterkunft!

• Ewa (9/5): - Pokój był prosty, ale było w nim wszystko co potrzebne na krótki pobyt. Co najważniejsze było bardzo czysto. Lokalizacja na uboczu, cisza i spokój w otoczeniu natury. Właściciel zaskoczył nas pozytywnie serwując nam świeży sok po przyjeździe. Śniadanie było przepyszne. Bardzo obfite, że z mężem nie daliśmy rady wszystkiego zjeść. W pokoju przydałaby się klimatyzacja ponieważ było dość gorąco. Materac łóżka był średnio wygodny. Czuć sprężyny na plecach.

Die Lage ist mitten in der Natur und toll gelegen. Das Frühstück und Abendessen war ausgezeichnet und die Familie wirklich sehr sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

• Ryan (10/5): A cultural experience - This was a cultural experience! From the moment we arrived in this home in the jungle we felt like part of a family. We were constantly cared for, guided and taught by this kind local family. We were offered lifts to the local village and for longer journeys a friend was always organised for us at a cheap price. Breakfast was sweet and delicious with local Sri Lankan cuisine and we had dinner here two nights with two local dishes that were plentiful and unbelievably tasty, using home grown ingredients. We were also greeted with the most delicious papaya juice. Definitely the best food I've had in Sri Lanka. I couldn't recommend this place more. Whether you're looking for local immersion in a kind family homestay or just a clean, comfortable apartment surrounded by nature, this is the place for you. I would return here any day. Nothing

Er hat sich immer sehr um uns bemüht und angeboten uns wo hin zu bringen oder abzuholen. Das Zimmer und auch Badezimmer waren super sauber. Wir hätten uns noch eine Ablage gewünscht. Waren aber super zu frieden. Frühstück und Abend essen waren ebenfalls super.

• Sara (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you Damithe and Nirosha for your hospitality, you are such great host! This was the best homestay of our 12 days in Sri Lanka. The property is located in a quite place a 15 mins walk off the main road. It's peaceful and surrounded by nature. If you are not keen to walk to Sigiriya (which takes about an hour) Damithe very kindly offers to take you on his tuk tuk. Wifi works and if you have any issues connecting he will fix it for you in no time. He is extremely attentive and always makes sure you have everything you need. He can organise tours for you if you are interested. He took us to Pidurangala for sunrise where you have a view on Sigiriya. We recommend leaving before 5am as the trail can get crowded and you might not reach the top on time to watch the sun rise. Sunset might be more worth it but either way, the views from the top of both Pigurangala rock and Lion Rock are stunning regardless. He also organised a safari for us to Kaudulla National Park. We saw so many elephants, birds and jackals (worth every cent if you are into your birds and wildlife). The room exceeded our expectations! Very spacious, clean and newly built. And last but not least, Damithe's wife is an outstanding and dedicated cook. Make sure you get to dinner very hungry! Nirosha made the best and most generous curries we've had in Sri Lanka. Such a lovely family! Thank you for everything 🙏 11/10 :)

• Kramer (10/5): One of my favorite stays in Sri Lanka!! - If this property is available to book 100% book it! I’m almost hesitant to post a review because I want to be able to stay at this hidden gem as long as possible. Next time I come! One of the cleaner rooms we had in Sri Lanka. A very large breakfast and the host was one of the most generous and gracious people I’ve ever met. Yes, there is a language barrier and you will have trouble Understanding, but he will ask you about 20 times a day if you want need anything. He even gave us his motorbike for for the whole week. Wi-Fi could be better. But you can just use your SIM card and add data.

Very authentic and yummy breakfast. The host family are absolutely lovely, made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed being shown the farm and all the animals. Dimith helped us get around at no cost in his tuktuk and made us the nicest fresh juice we had in the whole of Sri Lanka. This was the nicest place we stayed in Sri Lanka after three weeks and it was so affordable (in fact, we felt a much higher price would have been justified). we had to leave a day early from our stay due to my poor health, but the family made sure everything was OK and went out of their way to look after me. Nothing - we loved everything
• Suzanne (10/5): Our best homestay experience in the country !! - A truly amazing family homestay with just 1 room that makes you feel part of the family. The room is super clean, with a large bed incl spring mattress and a excellent bathroom. You have you own veranda. The best we stayed in during our 3 wk trip in SL. The location is about a 7 km tuk tuk ride to Sigirya and Pidaramgula. And the family has its own tuk tuk, so they bring you at whatever time you like. Located in lovely rural area that is frequented by elephants and other wildlife. And lastly. - we are fantastic home cooked Sri Lankan meals morning and evening. A real and authentic homestay experience!! None!!
• Magnus (10/5): Most amazing and unique homestay in the nature - The most wonderful and unique homestay in the jungle, with a lovely garden where you can watch all kinds of exotic animals. The family is the sweetest, they alesto male sure you have everything you need - and the breakfast is amazing, the best we have had so far in Sri Lanka. Though it is far from the city, we cannot recommend the stay enough! Nothing.
• Crawford (10/5): Peace, quiet and nature! - Absolving incredible homestay for those looking to connect with nature and get away from the noise and chaos. I think I may have been lucky but during my two days of peace and quiet I saw: two elephants, peacocks, a monitor lizard, giant squirrels and tons of birds. The meals provided were excellent, one of the best dinners I've had so far in Sri Lanka. The room is comfortable and the air conditioning works flawlessly. The owner and his family were extremely attentive, and I really enjoyed the quiet and isolation this place provided! Thank you!!!
• Kasih (10/5): Exceptional - The Owner ( Damith) who was always there was charming and very attentive. The room was very comfortable, and the bathroom is large and spacious. We booked a safari with them, and it was great; we saw about 80 wild elephants in one day, which was amazing. They also arranged a tuk-tuk for us to go see the sunrise at Pidurangala. There were two newly born baby monkeys, incredibly cute.
