• Allison (6/5): - Where the Mantra was situated to the shops. That was perfect for us as we did not hire a car. There was no bodywash in the shower upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had to ask twice for it to be refilled. Above light as we walked in was broken and partly hanging off. There were cigarette butts on the balcony that were not removed from the previous tenant. The shower glass screen was very small, so water proceeded out of the shower onto the ground. Previous emails were sent, asked for a king bed in 1 room , 2 singles in the other room, arrived, and all were singles. We left as all singles in the end!

• Laksiri Asoka Liyanage (9/5): My experience at Chatswood Mantra is superb. Staff is true customer care professionals. - Location was excellent. So easy to travel to Sydney attractions which were the most important for us. Room is good. Facilities are up to expectations. Bed is comfortable. Overall experience, I had there is good and I have no hesitation in selecting the same place to stay in Sydney when I come back in future.

The bathroom was very 1960s and although an accessible bathroom made me feel more disabled than what I am. Also I was not told that the hotel would charge me a 200$ bond which would take 10 days to refund.

• PATRICK (3/5): Only the absolute minimum provided, terrible value. - Location. Room was constantly cold - no heating system, only COOL air con. No drinks provided, not even water. Milk in fridge was not fresh.
• John (7/5): Overall all good and would be happy to come back.:) - Ease of access to the hotel and comfortable bed, room and bathroom facilities were clean. Dual Bath/shower is a little tricky and tight and could lead to trip or fall questioning safety particularly for taller/older people and or that may have ailments getting in and out of the bath/shower.

Also I requested twice for 2 single beds and it seemed the hotel either never got my message or just didn't have time to accommodate my request. I noticed my one bed was made up if 2 singled beds, so it really wouldn't have been too hard for them to separate the beds as asked.

• Hoang (8/5): Overall quite satisfying with the service and politenesses of the staff - The convenience location to the train station and quite good value for money considering you have your own washing machine and dryer, plus a kitchenette. The aircon at room 809 doesn’t work, unable to change temperature. The pool facilities aren’t well maintained with buildups visible on edges of the pool. Also room isn’t equipped with any bathroom amenities eg no toothbrush, slippers, etc You have to call reception to ask for it, which is a bit annoying as you would expect them to be fully fitted before any guest arrives.

The shower/bath has a pointless sheet of glass covering part of the shower. It is so minimal that you have to stand right under the shower to not cause a flood! The aircon was useless and definitely not cold!

Heated indoor swimming pool & a jacuzzi is a bonus. Friendly & helpful receptionist. Overall we were happy spending 3 nights at Mantra Chatswood 😊 Shelves in the wardrobe are dusty i had to wipe them clean myself. Dust accumulated on the floor (and I saw some tissues dumped on the floor also) next to the washing machine and the dryer's door needs to be fixed because I had some difficulties trying to get the dryer going last night & the receptionist said it's a bit tricky to turn it on. It shouldn't be tricky if the door is repaired. The receptionist at the time tried her best to resolve this issue and her effort didn't go unnoticed. I shouldn't have to keep trying to turn it on. It should just turn on when the door is closed & the timer is turned on. Also before I checked out this morning I found the light in the bedroom was very dim..couldn't really see things inside the bedroom unless I turned on the lamps on the bedside tables or opened the curtain. I think the light bulb needs to be replaced and it should work fine again.

The lounge had a massive stain that looked like someone had vomited and attempted to clean it up (not properly) it was a bit gross to look at and definitely would t use that lounge). The moisturiser was completely out, so clearly house keeping isn’t checking this either and replacing. Mentioned both when I checked out and all I got was “sorry you experienced that”
