• Kate (9/5): Very happy with my stay. - The breakfast was very interesting. A vegetable tempura sandwich. I wouldn't normally choose this but it was good. Coffee was excellent. Excellent location, close to Southern Cross station and trams into the city centre. Pool was huge! A bit noisey for me, closing the bedroom door helped as noise was reflected from the balcony ceiling.

• Paul (9/5): - We got this property at an amazing price. The location was second to none. We absolutely loved our stay. Furnishings were a little tired but did not detract from our stay.
• Mia (10/5): Exceptional value for money - definitely coming back!! - If travelling by public transport, this apartment is within easy access of Southern Cross Station (just across the road) and tram and bus lines. Picking up the key was a very simple process, but if travelling by car note that you may need to have someone drop you off out the front as there isn't always a parking spot to stop at. We booked a car park which was easy to access also. Lifts are accessible from the carpark, however dependent on what floor you are staying on, you may need to go to the ground floor to be able to grab the lift that accesses the higher levels (which our apartment was on) - no major stress, but it was sometimes a nuisance trying to get back down to the carpark as not all lifts stop on carpark levels. The apartment was clean, had everything we needed for our overnight stay, and as we were on level 36 had a good view over the north east parts of the CBD. No noise from other apartments could be heard, but even at that level some traffic noise could be heard - but nothing terrible. We received a free breakfast from the cafe where we picked the keys up from, with a selection of sandwiches made to order. These were huge and not your standard kind of sandwich - they had an Asian influence, and everyone really enjoyed them. Also a good range a hot beverages to choose from which was also included in the breakfast with our booking. Would have no hesitations in booking here again - everything was just great. And the bonus of having access to their gym and pool facilities was awesome. My daughters spent a couple of hours relaxing in the pool - after a long day it was what they needed and helped aid a restful sleep. Thanks so much to the hosts, and we look forward to returning in the future Wasn't anything in particular that I didn't like, but a suggestion for the building management, rather than the hosts themselves: Signage at the lifts to indicate which lifts access which floors would be most useful, for those of us that sometimes forget which one is which.

• Abby (5/5): - Great location, easy enough to check in, great view Room 3507 was an unpleasant stay unfortunately. Walls were filthy with scratches and marks all over them. Bathrooms needed cleaning (main bathroom had black hair all over it, ensuite needed a good clean over with orange scum on tiles where they join with plaster). Pantry wasn't even functional/falls off the rails and as soon as pulled out it falls out. Sliding door was left wide open for balcony when we first walked in and was incredibly hard and stiff to pull closed and wouldn't even lock, swing door to balcony from main bedroom also wouldn't lock. Second bedroom light didn't work. TV wouldn't change channels or change volume.

Needs maintenance on drawer as stuck together with tape and cupboard door loose. Apartment building and no reference to Sakura. Some clear instructions needed for those arriving outside cafe hours. Coffee etc av but no milk.

• capamug.f (10/5): Little Gem for a Staycation/Short Stay - Location was the best for us. It was close to SeaLife, Town Hall, Southern Cross and Koreatown.. My friend and her kids all really liked the apartment and I agree with them. Things were convenient, kitchen and bathroom appliances easy to use for what items we needed. The place was clean, beds were comfy, towels and toiletries provided, even have nice toilet paper for extra comfort. Good functional A/C for cooling/heating. Balcony area overlooking the Docklands. Very nice breakfast of sandwiches/pastries and hot drink/cold drink. Cannot fault anything. Train Station can be noisy but we did decide to stay near Southern Cross for proximity to public transport.

• Allie (1/5): Never again - The location is great The sofa bed was terrible. Booked 4 beds, so 3 beds and a sofa bed, and then told it came with a sofa bed but bedding for the sofa bed is extra. Sofa bed and main bed were not great and super uncomfortable. Not sure if both are broken in some way. We were 4 people and were given one key, and if we wanted another, it was another 100.00 dollar deposit. The staff at the start and through the whole thing were rude.

However, there were issues, the issue with use arriving late the information on where and how to access the key was not easily obtained and had to be asked for twice. The signage for the entry of the apartment needs improvement. The apartment its self is nice, wasn't expecting a second bedroom for the price. The fittings of the apartment and furniture probably needs a revamp, the couch is very very uncomfortable and the table & chairs were past they use by date. The pillows could do with a refresh. The bathroom was OK, potential plumbing issues with toilet not flushing too well, the roll holder needs to be moved as it is behind you! The shower is very very good as was the highlight of the stay. Our sheets on the bed wasn’t clean and it was a bit smelly so we had to wash before use. The carpet wasn’t vacuumed around the bed and it wasn’t too many options for breakfast. It actually left was a bit frustrating not having it explained on booking about the breakfast.

The blanket covers were open so the blankets fell out and u ended up sleeping with thr open doona. There was no real breakfast it was just sandwiches no eggs no bacon

But definitely not the home away from home unless - The location is very good as it is close to shops, restaurants and the tram. The free breakfast from the cafe was nice too. Furnitures needs updating like the couch, the foam have completely collapsed that we couldn’t sit and relax after a long day. It is also a hotbed for allergies. The dining chairs are wobbly and anytime the screws are going to come off and someone will have an accident. Spoons and forks needs to change as well. The host also needs to inform the guests about the elevator because it was confusing as the other floors doesn’t have sign which floor will go up and down.

Bonus was our great views across the Marvel stadium and docklands. We didn't have time to access the gym, pool and sauna...we ended up walking up & down Little Bourke for all meals & drinks. The bed was with a nice & firm mattress - exactly what I was hoping for a good sleep. Thanks For the price of a weekend, I wouldn't ask for more but if I could...carpet could be a little cleaner but kitchenette was fully equipped and functional. Receptionist was OK to lock up my luggage even for more than 3hrs, thanks

Lovely warm indoor pool and the outdoor courtyards were great for the kids to explore at the end of a big day. Dated furnishings and could do with some easy maintenance. My husband tightened screws in the coffee table to make it safe for the kids to rest their game on. Wasn’t as clean as I’d expect, and when putting shoes on noted the corner of the master bed was actually propped up by milk crates! Good for a short stay due to great location and wonderful hotel facilities but the apartment itself would benefit from some maintenance and upgrades to furnishings.

It is confusing that there are different towers, so it took me a few attempts to find the correct entrance.

• Melanie (5/5): Location 10/10 - The location cross from Southern Cross Station and shops was the biggest positive. We were able to get trams to South Wharf and the Casino. The breakfast was yummy too, although you needed to leave the building to go and collect. The beds were the worst beds I've ever experienced at a motel. The mattresses on the 2 single beds were very old innerspring mattresses and need replacing. The double bed mattresses sagged in the middle and were too narrow for the actual bed. The apartment was tidy, but not spotless clean. Dust behind doors. Apartment was in need of general maintenance and definitely showing age. There was no milk for the coffee and no complimentary biscuits, even though there was a sign saying to enjoy them. Storing of luggage is only free for 3 hours, never experienced a surcharge anywhere else for storing of bags.

The walls had marks on them and were dirty along with the carpet. The couch had marks on it and just didn’t look clean. I didn’t want to sit on it at all. Felt o had to wear shoes inside and the carpets felt dirty. Definitely not up to my standard. Whilst the shower and toilet were clean I didn’t feel like I could place my toiletries anywhere as it didn’t feel clean. The place needs a good paint work and a deep clean of carpets and couch.

The advertising said we would be picked up by a limousine but it was a Toyota Yaris and we did not all fit was we had to find our own way to the apartment.

• Charlene (3/5): In need of deep cleaning and minor renovation before guest can move in to stay. - The location of the apartment was good which is right across Southern Cross station where one reach by shuttle bus from the airport. It was easy to find with lot of shops and cafes around. The shower room was the only clean part in the house. The size of the apartment is small but decent enough for a solo traveler with a balcony. There were some amenities such as washing machine and a kitchen which provides some convenient for the traveler. Although the apartment was located in a good location and fairly new, there were a number of wears and tears in the apartment. There were bedbugs, cockroaches, sawdust (created by wood bugs) which requires urgent attention to have a professional help to clean the whole place. Keys collection was also confusing and misleading. I arrived on time, within the time frame to collect the keys. However the shop was closed earlier before the intended keys collection time and I had to call the staff. The only drinking ceramic cups were in need of replacement. There were cracks, parts of it were chipped off with coffee stains at the bottom of the cups. Some wears and tears in the house with molds covering the mirror sections of the apartment. I got bitten by bedbugs/cockroaches when I used the bed and had to check out early than my usual check out time due to unable to spend the night in that dirty apartment. Mattress is also in need of replacement as the springs of the mattress had come out. Bond deposit is higher than the usual hotel stays. If all these can be improved, the guests will have a better and more enjoyable stay.

• Joyce (9/5): Convenient to Southern Cross Train Station with Sky Bus link to/from airport - The reception for property is up the road & around the corner from the actual property No hand towel. Remote control for TV didn't work with batteries sitting on bench- locked like previous occupants also had an issue
• Jacque (9/5): - Apartment was very well equipped. Very close to station. Only 2 tea bags, no milk provided. No breakfast, even though booking included breakfast.
• Hans (7/5): Could be better with some TLC - The strength of this property was its excellent location being close to both trams stops and services from Southern Cross Station. The property was clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Shower was hot and strong. We reviewed this property in November 2025. Obviously the owners take little notice of the reviews. There was still no bedside lighting. The table in the dining area was still unstable. Television was still unwatchable due to pixalisation. There was still no plug for the bathroom sink. In addition, the face of the cutlery drawer was close to falling off.
• Elizabeth (10/5): Short stay Melbourne - It was in a perfect location. Easy to get to restaurants, shops and even the chemist.
• Geraldine (7/5): Last minute good price. Good location - Friendly check in staff at a small cafe about half a block from apartments. Good price last minute included free breakfast. 2 bedroom apartment with full fridge, microwave, stove top, oven, half dishwasher, plates, saucepans, cutlery. Interesting city view from small balcony and main bedroom. Air con worked well. Tv worked. Queen bed softish, single beds hardish. LIght coming into bedrooms at night as the blind wasnt block out and had to leave doors open to let air con through. Buzzing electricity fuse box on wall above single bed was very hard to ignore. There is a heated pool and gym available and its directly across the road from Southern Cross station
