Guest Reviews
- Susan (6/5): decent, budget friendly motel - The location is good - it's just a stones throw from the main part of mackinaw city village. The room was cleaner than I was expecting. The fridge needed replaced. The bottom of the door was rusty & it wasn't working very well. The little freezer space inside the fridge had defrosted so when you opened fridge door, water poured out. The pool hadn't been cleaned in several days. The air conditioner was a small window air conditioner so it was a bit noisy. If it had been hot outside that unit would not have cooled the space enough.
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- Cheryl (8/5): The Bridgeview was pleasant and delivered what we absolutely needed. I don't recommend the pool. - There was no breakfast or we weren't told about it. We had two rooms together with our own entrance which was very nice. The swimming pool was dirty, small and lots of broken toys.
- Jesharie (10/5): - Quiet and everything was clean. The manager helped us remove a huge spider from the room and he was really nice! I would recommend! The bugs outside the window and balcony lol
- June (6/5): -
- Jordan (3/5): overpriced room made of the cheapest wood money can buy. - The porch was okay Cheap construction, and the walls are paper thin. I had to listen to my neighbors having sexual relations while trying to fall asleep.
- jessica (6/5): Good - The location Very loud people above us
- Charles k (7/5): Ok but overpriced - Proximity to Hwy The value was not great
- Ochs (7/5): Not the best - The location was great There was trash by the water , chairs strewn about , there was a dish pan sitting by one of the grills filled with dirty water.the room was decent , furniture was a bit worn . The mattresses were horrible.dust bunnies behind chairs in the room . The tub had a gross stained up bath mat that would not come up so we had to put a towel in it to stand on. Kind of disappointed, thought it would have been nicer being a "water view " on a Great Lake with a view of the bridge . Paid $135 and don't think it was really worth the price.
- Mandy (5/5): It served its purpose - Location and view very nice Check in process at different location next door. No updated USB chargers. Behind dresser when I was looking for a plug, it was filthy. One of drawers had garbage in it
- Matthew (1/5): -
- Kara (9/5): -
- Teresa (10/5): Comfortable clean - Excellent location and extremely clean
- Steven (6/5): Basically as advertised, other than no onsite management. - Room was recently redone nicely, bed comfortable. Given it's a tourist area and most other nicer hotels are quite a bit costlier, I suppose it was ok. Location was away from chaos of tourist area, but close enough, on the water, and nice view. No management on site - managed from adjacent motel. No ice machine on site. A/C didn't work properly. Drive-up price was 30% less than Booking.com's price.
- Jill (3/5): - Not much Room door was not shut when we arrived, everything felt damp and wet all night. Property is not taken care of at all. Definitely not worth what I paid.
- Shannon (10/5): Had the best time and loved this hotel would stay again best views - It was a beautiful view of the bridge during the day and at night was incredible the beach was clean and such inviting water the rooms were clean and all redone would stay again and will stay again thank you great parking by our building just amazing
- Ann (1/5): Do not pick this place! - Outside of place is messy, porch needs replaced. Check in is at the motel next door. Outdoor pool looked dirty, indoor pool is at another facility. Picture of property must be 10 years old! Lighting bad in room. Room was not ready when we arrived. Parking area small and cleaning crew had their stuff in the way in parking spaces. Hardly any plugs in room. Small tv in an outdated tv stand making it hard to see tv from all angles. Not happy at all. Brought everything up to so called management and they could care less. Booked for 3 days. We left after day 1!
- Sheryl (9/5): - N/A
- Stu (7/5): -
- Morris (10/5): Great place to stay - The location is wonderful. The room was really cute, and clean. The beds were comfortable, and all three of us slept like a rock. It was a little confusing with two different names, but we figured it out, and it was all good.
- Nancy (6/5): Friendly staff but our expectations we had for our stay was disappointing. - We liked that it had an indoor/outdoor pool. There were so many mosquitoes inside the room that we had to start spraying bug spray to kill them and had to wear citronella arm bands to bed to help keep them away.
There was no housekeeping done after our first night; therefore, we had no clean towels for our 2nd day. I stopped at front desk ( which is at a different motel ) but couldn’t find anyone there. Waited for about 5 minutes and left. And at the beginning of everything, we couldn’t check-in at 4:00. Our room hadn’t been cleaned yet and we were asked to give them 2 hours.
- Cheryl (1/5): Vacation disaster - This place is horrible....what a dump! Nothing Everything, what a disaster 😑. Don't stay here!
Trusted booking.com, and they let me down, big time. Dirty, dusty,, broken air conditioner, no toilet paper holder, crack by door so bugs and air could get in.
Had to drive to another motel for ice. No one on premises or in office. Told me because I went thru booking.com, I didn't get to request room or upper or lower. Even though i paid alot more for specific room with view and had my
handicapped 85yr old Aunt with me for a special
trip. Booking.com let me down big time. These owners should not be allowed to run this place. Should be shut down!!!!
Ooh, wait until you swe the stairway. Shouldn't be legal or pass inpection.
- Gwendolyn (6/5): Motel on the lake - It was okay. Very old times feeling. Door didn't seal correctly, it didn't feel secure.
- Petty (1/5): Worst experience ever ,way overpriced . I would not recommend this to anyone... - Filthy room , damaged furniture, room full of bugs, noisy neighbors, trash under bed, went to front desk for assistance and recieved zero help from them. I checked out the first morning and demand a refund.poor accommodation, poor staff.. worst place i have ever stayed at.
- Kumar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (10/5): Room 29 - The rooms have been totally redone since the last time I was here, very clean and the lake and bridge view was just awesome. Came for the fireworks and it did not disappoint just sat on my balcony. Wifi was kinda iffy but once u went outside it picked up alittle better
- Ashlea (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (1/5): Not worth the money I paid. - It was near the lake. The pools both inside and outside were green and freezing cold so we couldn’t go swimming. We weren’t able to get rooms next to each other. The rate on booking.com was over $900 for both of these rooms for two nights and it wasn’t worth it. Only got housekeeping if requested they don’t do it automatically every day. No do not disturb signs. Rooms not very clean we found things on floor and under our beds. The beds in one room were like cardboard.
On the second night we stayed people were outside partying after 10:30 when we were trying to sleep setting off fireworks and playing loud music. The party continued inside their room which was directly below us well after two am and we had a seven year old with us who couldn’t sleep. Will not return to this facility or use booking.com again
- Dawn (3/5): Bad value for the money. - The staff is nice. They are trying to update the rooms but gave a ways to go. View is good. The floors were dirty with sand I get your near a beach but should be clean to start. The tub had hair in it so you know it wasn’t cleaned. Screen on window was flapping open so bugs came in. No fan in bathroom causing mold on ceiling after just being painted. All furniture is old and antiquated. If it was priced appropriately for all this I wouldn’t be as upset but I could have stayed at a nicer full service hotel for 50 dollars less. Too bad as looks like they are trying to make improvements but these little details can make it or break it. Addressed concerns with front desk and they didn’t seem to care. Too bad.
- Hopkins (4/5): Enjoyed the view. - Lake and the view Floors was dirty and under the beds was very dusty and hairy. Tub faucet was broken. Garbage under the deck leading to the door. Mattress old and very uncomfortable.
- Beverly (5/5): It was just ok but I got what I paid for. The room was redone but the furniture was very old. Hopefully they continue to - The room has been updated The outside needs a lot of attention. Garbage around the property moss growing heavy on the balcony.
- Heath (8/5): Very good - The view and beach. Room was clean and new. The pool. It says they have one. It wasn't usable. They told us to go to the Hamilton down the road. Not what we wanted to hear. The balcony on 27 was scary. needs to be cleaned.
- Linda (8/5): Would stay here again. Comfortable clean rooms with a great view - Clean room beautiful view. Fire pit and beach was located for each room was a plus
- Linda (10/5): Very nice, rooms were clean and newly renovated - The location and the view of the bridge. The microwave did not work, but everything else was fine.
- Hal (4/5): The website misrepresented the motel. Very disappointing. - N/A Sandy floors, coffee maker not cleaned (grounds pack still in maker}, unclean sink, heat not warming room, windows dirty, door was warped making locking difficult, rusty toilet.
- Daniel (5/5): Just a place to sleep - No breakfast on site Motel markey showed 69.00 a nite, you do the math.😞
- Ruth (6/5): It was fine. It was very clean inside. No bedbugs. - Appeared to have been recently remodeled. Being an older motel it was nice not smelling cigarettes. The TV never worked. We let staff know but we were only there one night so don't know if it ever got fixed. We even checked all the hook-ups ourselves. Outside of our room and all the rooms in our section there were empty shampoo bottles and other garbage all over the parking lot.
- Nicole (8/5): This is a great budget place!! Of course it smells like mildew and there's sand on the floor.. you're at a lake! - This property is so close to the water, and dog friendly! We were under the impression the pool was open.. and we weren't given any extra toilet paper.
- Isenhower (10/5): Staff was very kind and the rooms were fantastic. - The location was amazing. It's quiet with a beautiful view of the island and the ferry. The value was great. The rooms were more spacious then I expected and very clean. I was very happy with my stay here. The bathroom itself was on the small side and the tube was a bit high off the floor for my liking but over all not to bad. I would definitely recommend taking a step box if you have issues with large steps.
- Angelic (4/5): Disappointing -
- Dawn (9/5): Loved the view the room was nice and comfortable. The shower was good and hot water - The beach area could be cleaned up. And fire ring area .
Could have more seating but it was nice.
- Lori (5/5): Passable - Mattress and furniture could be updated
Tv didn’t work
- Halderman (10/5): Exceptional - Right on the water and easy parking and checking in and out
- Becky (4/5): Disappointing - Love the view from the balcony. Beds were uncomfortable, with no chairs on the balcony on the top floor.
They run 4 motels and advertise breakfast, but no breakfast.
No garbage cans outside. Don't keep up on outside work picking up garbage and stuff.
They have fire pits, but full of sand, no wood, you buy it yourself, and that seems like it would be provided by them.. Had to ask for coffee everyday.
We enjoyed ourselves but just not very hands on. Don't advertise what you don't provide.
- Lawver (1/5): Bad - Room looks very nice and updated. The toilet. It never flushed. We arrived at 9 p.m. and noticed urine and other matters in the toilet. By morning, we realized it wasn't flushing properly. We called at 7:30 a.m. and was told there was no maintenance person at that time. We checked out at 10 and still noone came. It was worse than an outhouse. Would not recommend staying there.
- Karl (4/5): Disappointing - the room updates the outside building and the beach front or Lack of. it was dirty, parts of building need of repair
- Kloosterman (10/5): Great view from room -
- Frances (1/5): Bed bug turned me off! - On the lake, beautiful view from room. Smelled, and Dirty, found a bed bug!
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (9/5): Superb - The room was completely remodeled in Cedar so it smelled great like the clean room and the view from our room was Beautiful.you could see the bridge and Lake Huron. The Motel has pools and a wonderful beach. You get a lot for your money.Which was a lot less the the other Hotels.
- Greg (1/5): Not a place I would go again. - Clean, newer amenities. No elevator, room upstairs. Outside door could be locked from outside, no way to get out if locked in. Upstairs entry outside room very dirty. No phone, no microwave, front desk at a different hotel, ice at different hotel. No shade outside. Single pane slider in full sun - very hot in room. Small AC took hours to cool. Smoke alarm battery beeped until we took it out.
- Gabriel (7/5): Good -
- Erin (8/5): Very good -
- Jacquelyn (8/5): Very good -
- Roderick (4/5): There are many other better choices near the Mackinac bridge. - Wood paneling in the rooms. Quiet. When I booked the room, I requested second floor with a bridge view. Given the name of the motel is Bridgeview, I expected I could see the bridge from my room. I was told they could accommodate this request. However on check-in I was informed that bridgeview means Court view, equals parking lot view. If you want to see the Mackinac bridge you have to request water or beach view. Still, it is not close to the Mackinac bridge compared to many other hotels. Photo below of your view of the bridge. You could upgrade for another $55. But they do not give refunds if you don't like your room. The pool is very small and did not look clean for swimming. I Would not recommend.
- Phil (3/5): Poor -
- Danielle (9/5): Superb - Very clean and quiet. The room was really hot when we arrived.
- Patricia (4/5): Won't be staying there again anytime soon. - there was no breakfast served which I was well aware of. And was not too impressed with our stay......It looked like they were in the process of renovating.... After we got checked in, got to the room, (which at night the hallway to the room should be much better lit ) I opened the curtains only to find a dirty washcloth and a half of a coke zero on the windowsill. When I mentioned it the next morning to the girls at the front desk that the room didn't get a thorough cleaning, they just looked at the picture I took and said Sorry, here's some complimentary fudge ( which I think it had come out of the freezer ) it didn't taste good at all.....
- Ashley (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (9/5): Would stay again nice place we had a balcony facing the water, so relaxing! - Very great views, nice updated room. Got a Mackinac fudge bar for staying there. Had to go to different location to check in.
- Patricia (10/5): We're coming back next year, very happily 😁 - The staff was very friendly and offered her help to get me into our room, I'm physically disabled and she opened our door and turned on the lights. My husband and I are in our late 70's. We plan to book here again next year for longer than overnight.
We were very impressed with the comfort of the beds. The view from our room was breathtaking, we could see the mighty Big Mac bridge and the sound of the waves of the lake lulled us to sleep. Id Nothing, every thing wzs absolutely beautiful.
We're even going to look into getting a mattress like the ones here.
- Heather (5/5): Passable - Good location. Nice rooms recently redone. Should put more towels in the rooms. When you charge a room for up to 4 people, you should put towels and washcloths for 4 people. When cleaning staff is asked for more towels, they need to give them not "forget" in 5 minutes. There should also be at least 1 handicap accessible room with a bigger bathroom a wheelchair can fit in.
- Sheryl (9/5): Beautiful, relaxing, and hassle free. Loved it. - I didn't realize there was a breakfast? Pool water wasn't clear. Porch light was out.
- Karen (6/5): Enjoyable - Location, clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly staff Floor was soft in the bathroom next to the tub. Approximately a one inch gap between the tub and the floor at one corner. Rooms are dated, needs updating
- Bonny (3/5): Poor -
- Hayley (6/5): Pleasant - Nice beach, was able to have our 5 month old lab play in the water Bed wasn’t the best, only one roll of toilet paper in the room.
- Alicia (9/5): great time on the beach - Brand new rooms no coffee in the room
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - All
- Lezlie (9/5): Superb -
- Jackson (10/5): Exceptional - Great
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Robin (7/5): Good -
- Demler (8/5): We enjoyed the upgraded room and the view is nice More upkeep on the property would be good though.. - We were pleasantly surprised to find they did some upgrades to the rooms.. Knotty pine walls and laminate floor and updated clean white bedding that looks so much better than the worn out carpet and outdated bedding from last year. Much improved. No smoke detector in our room. Screen in window facing the lake was not intact at the bottom allowing bugs to come in. Windows/ screens should be cleaned. The same large bird poop that was on the outside of the window last year was still on the window this year.
Staff needs to clean the parking lot better. Old soap fragments from stuff falling out of garbage bags and litter scattered on the asphalt in front of the rooms, clean out the burn pits so they can be used. They are full of ashes, sand and cigarette butts so it's not a "pit" so fire is up at the top of the fire ring. More attention to the grounds is needed.
- Gerry (9/5): Superb - No breakfast was offered Stairs were a little unexpected-but quite pleasant all around .
- Patti (8/5): Clean, updated place to stay for the night. - Perfect place right on the beach with a bridge view. Clean rooms! Room was great, only thing i mentioned at the desk when checking out is if they could have the a/c turned on for people. Our room was so hot when we got there and the one brand new window unit doesn’t cool it down fast.
- Elijah (8/5): Very good -
- Kerry (3/5): Would not stay here again - Had a fridge and sink outside bathroom Wasn’t very clean, felt price was high for as outdated as it was, spider webs all over in room. Pool was dark green and gross. Could not use
- Stacy (10/5): Great price great view new remodel room - Place was super nice room looked like it was remodel smelled like pine it was clean right by the beach it was amazing for the price staff was really nice. Nothing for what I paid it was above, and beyond what I expected, the view on the beach was worth every penny and then some
- Wendy (7/5): Good -
- Russell (10/5): Awesome! - Fantastic location and very clean. Close to all the sites and easy access! Nothing
- Najneen (8/5): Beautiful lake view & bridge view with water waves sound from motel room. - The views, close to city.
The staff at front desks, I believe her name Monika, she is very helpful and generous. We stayed 3 nights, NO cleaners came to clean our room. We had to ask for toilet papers.
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Armond (10/5): Exceptional - Newly remodeled room was excellent
- Jihad (1/5): Bad - Just the view of the beach The room was dirty and had many insects . The room service wasn’t found, I asked many times to get clean towels and trash bags and finally I got it.
- Cynthia (9/5): Superb - Right on lake, sat outside at table by the beach
- Tina (8/5): Very good -
- Annabelle (5/5): Passable -
- Clous (5/5): We made do for the night, but not as advertised and will not be back. - Proximity to water and views We booked a private balcony room and ended up with a lower level room with a shared porch with one chair to enjoy the outside space. The beach was not exclusive to the building, also as advertised in photos.
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional - Super cute, great pricing. Gave us a ‘welcome package’ when we arrived! Wish the numbers on the doors were easier to see so you know where to park. Only complaint!
- Monika (5/5): Passable - Nice new rooms! The pool wasnt what we expected needs some upkeeping and the beach is not there anymore. Would be great if ether the pictures god updated or the beach got fixed. Nice new rooms! The pool wasnt what we expected needs some upkeeping and the beach is not there anymore. Would be great if ether the pictures god updated or the beach got fixed.
- Julie (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Mary (7/5): A good night sleep but we won’t be returning. - The new knotty pine interior was beautiful, the room was clean and the view of the bridge at night was spectacular. Although we purchased the room on line. No where did it say that we wouldn’t be able to check in at our own hotel. We did get a phone call but it was still confusing. We didn’t know where the pool/ hot tub was or how to access. We arrived late and left early but would have loved some more assistance. Arriving late is stressful enough.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - The pool was nice and the view was amazing!
- Wiers (6/5): Good place for the price. - The waterfront property was nice. No matter if you book a room with a view or not, you walk out the door and can see the same view. The bathroom wasn’t clean, the shower had stuff all up in it and the floors weren’t clean in there. The rest of the room was clean.
- Janet (9/5): Good value and will plan to return. - The property has a clear view of Lake Huron and the Mackinaw Bridge. It was close driving distance to downtown. No complaints
- Jessica (7/5): Good -
- Courtney (4/5): Short, and disappointed with them for charging me the total price when I had such a severe emergency - I had a death in the family and unexpectedly had to leave the very next afternoon after checking, was there less than 24 hours and I had to pay for the whole stay. 2 additional days that I was jot there.
- Holly (5/5): The room was clean, it was not the room that we booked online or even the hotel we booked online, the pool was green and - Loved the local and the value The property manager totally changed the hotel we were staying at and our room. We didn’t know that until we checked in, that the room/hotel, we booked, they had double booked and switched us to a totally different hotel. We didn’t know that there was a switch or a change until we went to check in.
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff. Beautiful location on the bay.
