• Hollington (8/5): Our third visit to Geomar. We love this place, the vibe , the view of tge castillo and I love the 2 - We catered for ourselves, ate in local venues eg: El buen comer, la ereta, Darsena etc..lots of choice I liked that the Geomar team came quickly to the house to install netflix and show us how to use the new TV and to repair the blocked shower etc...lovely people!! As we are expected to tidy up the house to a a certain degree before leaving , I would have liked a later departure time than 11.00am.

• John (8/5): Unique property in excellent location - 1. The terraces and the amazing views from it, looking over the old town and its winding lanes and rooftops, from the castle to the sea. Even in December it was a great place to have breakfast in the sunshine 2. The location - it's in a pedestrianised area, with no bars nearby, so it is generally quiet, but it's within a short walk of the market (and Mercato tram station), the sea, the cathedral, and museums, the main streets, and the bars and restaurants of the old town 3. The shower was very good, and there are air-conditioning/heating units in the main rooms I don't know if this is the situation, but Geomar has the feel of someone's holiday home that's managed by an agency. Like any second home, there will be kitchenware, furnishings, and facilities that "will do", things that are to the owners' personal tastes, and things they live with, or haven't quite got around to replacing, while cleaning will be enough for a quick stay. The management company resolved a couple of initial problems, and are helpful, but aren't swift to reply. So while there's nothing we didn't like, or that detracts from the positives above, there's equally quite a bit that isn't more than simply "OK for a holiday base"
• DEBRA (10/5): Beautiful house in historic old town. - Stunning house right in the historucal Santa Cruz area beautifully renovated. Loved everything about it. It's so clean, well equiped, has everything you need for a really comfortable stay and more because it feels like a loved home not a holiday rental. It has: a compact & well equiped kitchen esp. the dinky filter coffee machine (kettle and mugs we are English 😉), new washer (excellent 15min wash) & dryer a spacious lounge /diner with quirky furnishings and 2 Juilet balconies with stunning views of the sunrise, Alicante, the castle and the sea. The bathroom has modern fittings and an excellent rainfall shower. The bright and spacious bedroom has 2 Juilet balconies onto the prettiest street. There's plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, comfy large bed, conveniently placed plug sockets plenty of mirrors even a small magnifying hand mirror. The location of the house is fantastic it's in the heart of the characterful, winding stone stepped old streets. The 2 terraces were perfect for relaxing anytime of the day esp. first thing in the morning for sunrise. Alicante new town is a 4 min stroll downhill with everything you need shops, bakeries, bars (everytype small, large, cocktail, craft beer etc) restaurants, buses, art gallery, historical sites etc. 10 min walk to the beautiful white sandy beach. Taxi drops and collects on the small access road with ramps and easy 2 min walk to the house. Loved absolutely everything one tiny tiny improvement would be some oil on the front security door and door it's so loud when returning at night when the neighbourhood is so quiet.
• Anniek (9/5): Top appartement met dakterras - Het is een mooi ruim appartement, alles netjes verzorgd. Appartement met een fantastisch dakterras met uitzicht op de stad. Erg leuk!
• Marika (10/5): Kätevä sijainti ja mahtavat maisemat - Asunnon sijainti oli täydellinen: lähellä nähtävyyksiä, palveluita ja rantaa. Terassilta on mahtavat näköalat ja asunto on muutenkin siisti ja toimiva. Ei valittamista. :)
• Valentyna Zhuravlova (10/5): - Все сподобалось. Дуже затишний і чистий будинок в історичному центрі міста. Все повністю відповідає опису. В наявності все необхідне, кондиціонери, неподалік центральний ринок, супермаркети, пляж. Ранкові краєвиди приємно вразили.
• Sonia (9/5): - L'emplacement de la maison. Quartier atypique. La terrase donne une vue imprenable sur tout la ville et le chateau. Une belle petite maison, parfaite pour 2 pers. Air-conditionné dans le salon ainsi que la chambre. La literie (les oreillers plus precisement) est à revoir, mais hormis cela, tout était nickel.
• Susan (8/5): Very good - Very clean, comfortable, quiet house. Well equipped kitchen and wonderful view from the terrace. Well situated for shops, bars, restaurants and everything else in this lovely city. We know the area very well - the hill and all the steps are not a problem but the description does not make it clear that someone with restricted mobility might find it difficult. We've stayed in that area for many years and will definitely return to Geomar. All the plastic flowers!! And the house would benefit from a more professional approach to the bed linen.
