- Tony (10/5): Phenomenal stay over. - The hosts were fabulous, the room was one of the best I've stayed in, every little detail was excellent and the breakfast is possibly the best I've ever had staying on my travels!
Fully recommend. Nothing to dislike.
- Paul (10/5): Wonderful stopover on St Cuthbert’s Way walk. - Beautifully furnished and decorated, lovely breakfast, friendly and helpful owners, nice touches like electric blanket, lovely shower products, tea and cake on arrival. Nothing.
- Deborah (10/5): Warmly welcomed - Attention to detail, lovely decor, comfortable clean room, helpful hosts -
- Reeve (10/5): One of the best BNBs we've ever stayed in. - Homemade cakes and biscuits on arrival were perfect at end of a long day of walking. Location was great and sun streamed into our room in the afternoon. Games and puzzles available. Hosts were incredibly helpful. Can't think of anything!
- Nikki (10/5): Outstanding B&B - Absolutely brilliant stay at Rutherford House. Everything was catered for and offered. Steph and Ned were so helpful in offering Gluten free snacks and packed lunch, electric blankets came as standard, a nook to read our books in the sun and the breakfast was superb. They even went out of their way to drive us to the start of walk to avoid 2 miles of road walking. Thank you so much. 10 out of 10. Nothing. We were made so welcome.
- Mark (10/5): Great place to stay, would highly recommend the place & hosts. - Lovely old house with an excellent room. Spacious, clean & provided biscuits & cake to go along with tea/coffee.
Lovely hosts who couldn't do enough for you.

- Paul (10/5): A wonderful B&B with lovely hosts. - Steph and Ned are lovely hosts. The room is spacious with an additional sitting area overlooking the village centre. The atmosphere is very relaxed and Steph and Ned go out of their way to make a wonderful stay. They provide a wide breakfast choice which caters for everyone's taste. The village has a pub for evening meals and a useful shop The surrounding area is very attractive with Town Yetholm being a goood base to explore the region from. A B&B I'd thoroughly recommend anytime. Nothing

- Nigel (10/5): Excellent room with attentive service in a peaceful village. - Having just walked the Pennine Way, I arrived very wet and muddy. Steph answered my plea to allow me to book in a little earlier and had a dryer waiting for my wet clothes. The room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a clear menu the night before available in the room. A choice of continental or full Scottish breakfast set in a beautiful room with great service. Although it did not bother me, it is worth being aware there is no TV in the room.
- Margaret (10/5): It was perfect - Very clean, beautifully decorated, fresh milk offered to make tea in bedroom as soon as we arrived and homemade cake. Lovely food for breakfast
- David (10/5): Exceptional -

The bedroom was comfortable, clean and bright with nice personal touches...heated mattress pad, home baked treats, books...loved it! Ned and Steph are terrific hosts, and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I was in Scotland for 10 days and this was my favorite stay. Definitely recommend. Thanks!
- Mark (10/5): Wouldn't hesitate to book again. - Breakfast was excellent, all fresh local produce and lots of it! Room spacious and spotless. Along with biscuits there was lemon drizzle cake, a nice touch!
Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area. Steph and Ned greeted me outside as I wasn't sure of exact location and as I was running late for meal booking Ned offered to give me a lift. Lovely couple.

- Mandy (10/5): A perfect stay at the end of the Pennine Way - wonderful hosts - Great location in a quiet village at the end of our Pennine Way trip - 10 mins walk from the finish. Steph and Ned went out of their way to help us to dry our wet gear and made sure we'd time for our breakfast and were able to catch our train home. Their home is beautiful with little touches such as Steph's homemade cake and jams. The Scottish breakfast was delicious. We were made to feel very welcome.
