Guest Reviews
- David (5/5): beautiful if you want to get away from the business of the city. Quiet area, overlooking rice fields - no breakfast included it's a bit old and run down, which is ok. But it isn't well maintained and not very clean. (showers need a deep clean, they are semi-outdoors and the leaves in the showers have not been removed in a long time. The pool is a green cesspit...
- Zeby (10/5): Exceptional - The surrounding mountains, along with the comfort and hospitality make the stay truly a wonderful must visit if considering. N/A
- Pannskun (8/5): Very good -
- Sohrab (8/5): Very good - I had a good experience during my stay in Bulunburi. The owner and site manager were so attantive to ensure my comfort. The bulunburi resort has to be revisited structurally and mechanical standard. Mainly, entrance and access to the site.
- Waraponn (7/5): Overall was fine. - Local people and things surrounds the property. It’s located in the city and close to grocery shop, school, temple, local restaurant and coffee shop. Probably it doesn’t suit those who concern about cleanliness and hard to sleep if you stay in the cottage you might hear squirrels scratching on the roof at night but it's not bad. I stayed at this place for a week, so this is not a negative comment. Just hope the property get improved if I visit this place next time. Honesty is important in the hospitality. It seems facilities listed shown on Booking.com were not updated. Facility and Cleanliness are the things that also need to be improved. It’s ok that the property is aging but it should have to be well maintenance and clean. Cheap but low quality, probably no one wants to pay for it. The first night in a private room, overall facilities were fine except cleanliness in toilet and moisture on wooden doors that were understandable. So, I asked for change or upgrade room. Staff allowed me to move to the cottage with no charges.
- Claire (8/5): Very good -
- Eugenia (7/5): great location, kind staff - great location, a bit dated but still nice cabins hot shower was not working, so we had to use the one in the next cabin
- Aik (4/5): Feel greatly short of expectation. - The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The place has clearly seen better days. It is no longer the resort that it was. Dusty in many corners, faded and tired.
- Georges (9/5): Superb - The quietness and beauty of the place
- Wibke (7/5): Good - We had a beautiful little hut in the resort. The garden is still beautiful, quiet and relaxing, as is the community area. We almost had the place to ourselves. The owner did everything to make is feel comfortable, we spoke via booking chat and answers came immediately. The lady in the resort was friendly but didn't speak much English. As in many places after Covid this resort has seen better days. The room was clean, nice bathroom. The mattress was very hard. The manager tried to help, but for us it didn't work. There is no restaurant anymore in the resort and to get (good) food in the area isn't easy. Vegetarian dishes are nowhere to find. You definitely need a car. The only restaurants we had in walking distance (20min) gave us foodpoisening. That was hard, but of course nothing to do with the resort itself. So if you are looking for a quiet, green place to read and relax and you have a car, the resort is nice. There is a wonderful massage place down the street called Thachang Hill Thai Massage, Sriwan is very professional and helpful! Mattress
No restaurants close by for good food
You can see, that someone put ones much love in the place, but is sometime back
- Kanlaya (10/5): excellent - Friendly
- Phanarai (9/5): The most cozy resort with pet friendly in Hang Dong, Chiang Mai ❤️ - This resort is pet friendly. We brought our dog with us. There is one host dog there. His name is Bulan. There is also neighbour dog. We call her Jing Jo (Kangaroo) because she likes to jump. Both of them are so friendly and can be friend with our dog.
Overall, we love this place so much because it is so cozy and all of staff are full of service mind. For our cottage room, we love a big bed due to it is so clean and has a good smell. We also love outdoor bathroom with beautiful plants and warm shower 🚿
Surprisingly, we had a new year breakfast from the resort which is normally they are not provide the free meal to guest, so thank you so much 🙏 The head of shower 🚿 is too old. The water was leak ed all the time. When we had powerful water, the whole shower came out 😅
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Literally the best stay I had in Thailand. So calm and peaceful. The lady manager was very welcoming and nice, she helped us get to the city because you can’t get taxi once you’re there. If you’re looking for a peaceful and no stress time, choose this accommodation!
Nothing much to do around here, but you’ll enjoy your stay for sure.
- Barbier (9/5): Superb - The place is absolutely beautiful. Rhe bungalowas and in-house rooms are stuning, and the nature in the resort is superb. Definitely recommend it. The only thing is that there is no transport system around and you can't rent a scooter there. The nearest place to do so is in Chiang Mai. We thought we could have rented one there so in the end we weren't able to do much around. The owner drove us to a waterfall nearby, so there is this possibility, but she doesn't stay on site.
I recommend coming from Chiang Mai to this place by renting a scooter from Chiang mai for a few days. That way, you can really go around while staying there.
- Masha (10/5): Amazing - the peace, the quietness and the views. breathtaking. def worth the money!!! -
- Laura (10/5): if you are looking for a peacful stay that a perfect one, we treated it as the recovery after quite internet travelling - the views are beautiful you Need to have a moto at least if you want to explore around cause there is not much at the location
- Johan (10/5): Exceptional -
