Alia Hoch (10/5): One of the best stays I’ve had for the price, felt completely at home! - This place is honestly such a vibe. Proper aesthetic and full of art, it deserves to go viral at least in this city, really. I felt like I’d just stepped into a little gallery in Paris. I didn’t expect to see that many paintings, plus some quirky traditional toys at the front door. The host was a legend, super friendly, gave me heaps of tips and even sorted me out for my trip to Bromo. Even after I left, he still answered my random questions haha. Just genuinely kind and humble. Turns out he’s an architect too, seriously clever. All in all this place is amazing, perfect for travelling solo and I felt completely safe. Honestly, there were no downsides. For the price, I felt I got more than enough, actually one of the best stays I’ve ever had at this rate. There’s no hot water, but it’s clearly mentioned in advance, so it wasn’t an issue at all. Besides, Indonesia is so hot!
Anonymous (10/5): A very artistic place with lots of paintings and a very friendly host! - I feel this place is more private than anywhere else. The host doesn’t ask many questions, doesn’t request photos, or push me to write a review like at other places I’ve stayed. And the host is very, very kind. If you want a peaceful rest, this is the right place! I’ve traveled all around Java, and I feel this is the place that understands me best. Especially since I’m an introvert who loves traveling, hahaha! Merci beaucoup! For me everything was perfect, actually even better than I expected. There’s free coffee and mineral water! And there’s also a kitchen that’s really easy to use. Yes, maybe it feels hot, but I think Indonesia is much hotter than my country, so I don’t really see it as a complaint. Oh, one more thing, maybe there’s no hot water for showering, but I already knew that from the description and personally it’s not a problem for me.
