• Brenda (9/5): - Fijn en luxe verblijf, ruime en schone kamers. Lief personeel wat alles voor je doet. De eigenaar bracht ons om 4.45u naar de Pidurangala rock voor een hike. Eten was hier ruim en heerlijk! De locatie klopte niet waardoor we een half uur omgereden zijn. Het is met de TukTuk wel 25 minuten naar centrum van Sigiriya rijden.

• Alex (10/5): Amazing hospitality in the cultural triangle - Loved our 4-night stay at Tropicara! The family running the hotel are kind and the service is exceptional. The facilities are impeccably clean, our room was huge and very comfortable. The highlight for us was the food. We had Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner at the property every day, and every time it was different and delicious. The chef takes absolute pride in his cooking and always had a little surprise with every dish. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pool to cool off. Be mindful that the location is slightly outside the nearby towns, which also makes the property quiet and peaceful. Would suggest to the hotel to add some cushions to the sun loungers by the pool.

• alexandra (7/5): Déçue de l’hôtel par rapport aux photos sur le site - La gentillesse du personnel. Bon petit déjeuner L’hôtel est en bord de route , les chambres sont basiques et sans charme particulier.
• David (9/5): - The food was lovely..would recommend the included dinner bed and breakfast package. Food portions are generous and tasty with plenty of variety too. Would highly recommend having the sri lankan breakfast which does need to be pre booked. Staff were excellent and very friendly and accommodating. Air con was a bit tricky to keep at a constant temperature but this would not put us off.

• De Lambert (10/5): Paisible et délicieux - Nous avons tout aimé dans cet hôtel, nous mettons rarement d’avis mais la gentillesse du personnel vaut bien cela ! Le personnel nous fait nous sentir comme des rois, toujours au petit soin. Pour vous dire, un matin, nous ne trouvions pas de taxi et le propriétaire nous a même proposé de nous déposer ! La nourriture est excellente avec une excellent rapport qualité prix. Merci au chef cuisinier. Petit havre de paix : allez y les yeux fermés ! L’établissement est un petit peu excentré, pas beaucoup de resto à côté, mais cela n’est pas grave car la nourriture est excellente.

• Lisa-Maria (10/5): Sehr zu empfehlen! - Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft. Die gesamte Anlage sowie der Pool waren sehr gepflegt und sauber. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß, ebenfalls sehr sauber und wir haben uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt. Die Besitzer sind unglaublich nett, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Wir haben sowohl dort gefrühstückt als auch zu Abend gegessen – beides war sehr lecker und absolut empfehlenswert. Besonders positiv fanden wir auch, dass die Anlage über Nacht abgeschlossen wird, wodurch wir uns sehr sicher gefühlt haben. Wenn man allerdings sehr früh zum Sonnenaufgang los möchte, sollte man kurz Bescheid geben, damit einem rechtzeitig aufgeschlossen wird. Alles in allem eine super Unterkunft, die wir auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen können!

• kafri torem (10/5): ממליצה מאוד - המקום מנוהל על ידי משפחה מקסימה. דאגו לי לכל בקשה. המליצו על שירותים נהדרים - ספארי פילים שראיתי בו עדרי פילים ממרחק 2 מטרים. ספא אירוודה אוטנטי, ואפילו מניקור פדיקור מוצלח. דאגו לי להסעות לכל מקום, שירותי כביסה בישלו אוכל פנטסטי (אני לא אוכלת גלוטן סוכר והם בישלו לי בדיוק מה שביקשתי) והכל במחירים מאוד זולים. החדר גדול נקי המזגן טוב המים חמים והאינטרנט תקין. בריכה חמודה ומעל הכל הרגשה ביתית לבבית וחמה.

We needed to add an extra room and they had no problem with it. Room was very wide and beds were comfortable. The bathroom was not very clean, and the toilets wouldn’t flush. The rest was nice and well set for us.

Все свіже, фрукти чудові, роті теж. Кімната велика та комфортна, великий зручний балкон. Хозяєва дали джип з водієм на сафарі, ціна адекватна, все пройшло супер! Зробили ранню подачу сніданка, коли ми від'їзжали - все вчасно, смачно та й ще запакували з собою. Дякуємо їм за гостинність ) Басейн не виправдав очікування, невеликий, але може було прохолодно та він не виглядав таким, щоб хотілось плавати. Поряд трасса, гучно.

• Neel (9/5): As seen in pics, responsive management, excellent bus connectivity - Property was as seen in the pictures. Bathroom was spacious and very clean. The bedding was spotless. The management is extremely responsive and responds quickly both on messages or in-person. Bus stop is right outside the resort and you get buses to Dambulla Cave Temple, Kandy, or Colombo every 5-10 minutes. You may require a tuktuk to reach Pidurangala or Sigriya as bus connectivity on that route is a little less frequent. Check-in and check-out too were very smooth. Some leakages from the above unit in the bathroom. Not too much and I reduced a star for it. The pillows were huge and the blankets were thin, but that's my individual preference and cannot blame the management for it. Also I did not ask for an extra blanket or thinner pillows.

• Isabel (10/5): Große Empfehlung - Die Anlage ist sehr schön, insbesondere der Poolbereich. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß und das Bad modern und sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider gab es zwei Stromausfälle während wir da waren, welche aber schnell behoben wurden und wir haben ein Frühstück und Eis als Entschädigung bekommen. Uns hat es gut gefallen!

• Yara (10/5): Mooi verblijf met lief personeel - De kamer was heel ruim en schoon. Hetzelfde geldt voor de badkamer. Het bed was heel erg comfortabel. Personeel is heel erg vriendelijk. Wij wilden wat later uitchecken en dat was geen probleem. Ontbijt stond s’ochtends ook snel klaar, alles was goed verzorgd. Er zit ook nog een heel lekker zwembad bij. Als ik iets moet noemen zou het een koelkastje op de kamer zijn.

Couldn’t recommen - The Sri Lankan couple that operates the hotel are some of the most kind, generous, and helpful people I’ve met. The homemade meals are generously portioned and served with love. They helped me arrange tours to the nearby Minneriya National Park and also helped with scooter rental. When I had an accident with the scooter, they were attentive and understanding. But best of all, the value you get for your money is incredible. The hotel rooms are spacious, the pool is nice, and the location is just 20 minutes drive from all the tourist activities in the area. Everything was excellent!

Consiglio vivamente di usufruire anche del ristorante perché è molto buono e vario. I prezzi sono nella media. La colazione è molto varia e ricca. Servizio e ospitalità impeccabili. Le stanze sono spaziose, forse un po’ spoglie vista la dimensione.

Lo staff è stato super disponibile, infatti avendogli fatto sapere in precedenza che avevo bisogno di un buon wifi per fare delle videocall di lavoro, si sono impegnati a farmi avere la stanza con la migliore connessione e così è stato. Al ristorante vi consiglio di prendere il cibo sri lankese, specialmente parata e dahl.
