- Helen (9/5): Great stay - Great value for money, location is very convenient.
The meals are 10 out of 10. Beautiful fresh, served very quickly offers dining area or dining outside in the garden
Definitely stay again No complaints from me
- Patrice (8/5): Looking forward to the finished work when we return - There have been some major renovations this year and the additional bathrooms are excellent. There is still a little work to be done, like kitchen facilities for guests, but overall, its really well done. The staff were terrific and organised a jug for us to boil water and make tea. Food and service downstairs was great
- Tel (8/5): Nice hotel, great food and outside area - My favourite location to stay for the annual Bathurst 1000 event, (It has stairs like most hotels)
- Bronwyn (8/5): Loved the hotel, would definitely stay there again. - Beautiful location, atmosphere was great. You couldn’t hear the pub from upstairs, bed was very comfortable to sleep in and the bathrooms up our end were very clean. Walking Upstairs and the first area of rooms / bathrooms weren’t the most clean and smelt not too great.
- Micah (9/5): -
- Jeanette (10/5): - Property excellent, walking distance to our venue. Hosts were very welcoming. Very Comfortable, everything you could ask for was supplied. Top notch facilities, wish we could have stayed longer.
Would recommend and give 5 stars to this studio.
So accommodating
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - Lovely old pub room, very basic but comfy bed.
- Stacey (5/5): Passable -
- Guillermo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mitchell (8/5): Very good - Great, under renovations for the next few months. Looking to see what this little gem turns into Old and out dated. Owner is doing more than expected to fix this issue
- Iorwerth (8/5): It was very nice, quiet and away from the road. We had lovely weather and Millthorpe is charming. - I bought my own breakfast; yoghurt and fruit. I took my own fresh coffee and bought fresh milk. A coffee plunger for one/two people. The bed was the only place really for watching tv and for me the screen was a little small for that distance.
I needed both spare blankets on top of the duvet to be warm enough (in such a big bed) and for me the pillows were rather too thick. I should have taken my own pillow.
- Diane (5/5): I enjoyed my stay - The location and staff were both excellent It was not possible to open the window in my room and the air was horribly stale which made sleeping uncomfortable. That was the only thing wrong
- Nic (7/5): Good -
- Miray (10/5): Brilliant i will recommend for sure - The Bed, Pillow & their Bar & Restaurant I just wish there was a small table to put my overnight bag on
- Rosie (5/5): Passable -
- Sue (8/5): Great value accommodation in a charming little village. - Comfortable bed with good pillows and crispy white sheets. Basic bathrooms and useful to have a kitchen to put items in the fridge and freezer. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. My room was beautifully quiet and peaceful although friends who had a room over the eating area said they found it a bit noisy.
- Helen (5/5): If just looking to lay your head down is ok if not maybe not for you - Meals were excellent, great service and beautiful meals. Room was clean and bed very comfortable however I went to have a shower and the water in the shower was just a trickle and unable to take a shower at all. Shared bathroom was pretty average and full of other people's items
- Joe (8/5): Very good - The room was good.nice bed.
Air cond, tv No soap with towel or in the shower.
No mug- cup for making a tea- coffee
- Adrian (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dawn (8/5): Very good -
- Tel (8/5): Book early for the Bathurst 1000 weekend. - Great place to stay for the Bathurst 1000 weekend. Great pub food.
- Tony (3/5): Poor -
- Anna (7/5): Comfortable cost effective accommodation. - Milthorpe is a small historical town. Some rooms were small and others larger. It was very cost effective accommodation so you need to be happy with shared bathroom facilities. The meals at the bistro downstairs were delicious. Had a shared kitchen facility. No TV or internet. You can hear the music when playing downstairs. Does need upgrading but then the price would have to go up.
- Delwyn (8/5): I had a fabulous stay thank you for your service. - The bed was so comfortable I had a great nights sleep. The staff were very welcoming and provided excellent customer service. Probably needs a new paint job in rooms to freshen them up white painted walls instead of the old cream will make it look cleaner.
- Baines (5/5): Passable -
- Jack (6/5): Pleasant - It was a lovely place to stay and the food and staff where lovely The kitchen and bathrooms
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (2/5): Very poor - Location good, in the middle of town. Room stank, filthy old carpet, share kitchen was messy, no soap in bathrooms/toilets, only 1 PowerPoint in room, no bin in room. Generally old and run down.
- Orlando (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charmian (7/5): great spot, friendly people and good food - Bathroom toiletries left a lot to be desired
- Miriam (2/5): Disappointing stay in Millthorpe hotel - No breakfast
Millthorpe nice quaint village Accommodation very poor .. not clean
- King (7/5): Good -
- Sean (7/5): Comfortable stay at a good price adequate to our needs - Comfortable bed and room at a good price in a good location. The restaurant in the pub had good food. The bedding was wet in my original room (probably due to a leaking air conditioner), but I was quickly moved to another room.
- Bill (10/5): Country hospitality. - Great county pub
- Bill (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kt (5/5): Interesting - This is a beautiful old pub which is nicely presented from the outside and a lovely bar. The room appeared clean, the bed was comfy, sheets were crisp and white. Staff were lovely and welcoming and the accommodation is cheap!! Everything was great until you went up to the accommodation. We are not snobs and usually easily satisfied but this was pretty bad. The carpets were just brown, stained and dirty. The shared bathrooms were dirty, old and fittings broken. The whole upstairs area was just a bit of a mismatch and mess, which is such a shame as it has so much potential, with some money invested.
- Bill (10/5): Great country experience - Lovey country pub, friendly staff, comfy room and amenities.
- Janet (5/5): Convenient -
- Bill (10/5): Exceptional - Lovey old building, comfortable room suites my needs .
- Kerry (8/5): Very good -
- Mal (8/5): Very good -
- Rob (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sharyn (6/5): Met my expectations for old nsw country pub. Has great potential. - Lack of water pressure in the bathroom
- Soto (10/5): Exceptional -
- Woods (10/5): Good - Staff was good. Food was good. Beer was good. There was nothing I didn’t like. Wish I could’ve slept in, but alas, work 🥲
- Anita (1/5): Bad - The location was fine. The whole space upstairs stank, the carpets were filthy, the kitchen was filthy. There was a horrible odour coming out of the air conditioner. It smelt like urine.
- Angus (7/5): Good -
- Teena (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sarah (9/5): We may have left my husbands reading glasses in rm q7, bathroom or bar or courtyard. Pls contact m04 - The location, decor downstairs, back courtyard, open windows in bedroom, great bedlinen, greT bar and friendly staff, people Shower head opposite rm 17 broken. Rooms could be better decorated with art, otherwise fab
- Liz (6/5): Pleasant -
- Leyette (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (5/5): Passable -
- Sean (6/5): Adequate, comfortable and reasonably priced for our needs. - Good location in town, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable rooms, good meals in the bistro. Some parts of the hotel were a little bit tired and old (in need of some renovations and upgrades) and parts of the room were a little bit dusty.
- Robertson (8/5): Had a great time. - Staff were excellent as were the locals. Food was good. Room was disappointing as there was no cupboard or hooks for clothing etc
- Tel (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): Great experience with a feel of Ireland - Very friendly staff! Beautiful old building, as it is old style the room was very clean and comfortable and affordable. The shared bathrooms were clean and they had the largest softest white towels! 😍 My key wouldn't open the front door to enter to the accomddation however the friendly staff let me in and all was well.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - It was close to Bathurst All good
Really great
No problems
- Colleen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Peter (6/5): Pleasant - Dinner was good value
- Chrisg (9/5): Nice country pub in a quiet location - Nice country pub. Was quiet with only a few guests.
- Graeme (7/5): Good -
- Susan (7/5): ENJOYED - STAFF WERE EXCELLENT FRIENDLY SERVICE AMAZIN BATHROOMS COULD HAVE HAD A LITTLE SPRUCE
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (6/5): Good ambience at the pub downstairs and suitable accommodation for the price. An electric blanket would be great! - Traditional Aussie Pub with nice ambience. Slightly trendy decor which was nice, and attracted a diverse clientele. Upstairs was a bit tired as far as decor and facilities. Needs a bit of a makeover.
- Gary (8/5): A great night in the friendly old local pub. - Location excellent and easy to find, near old railway station. Food closed off a bit early
- Jennifer (1/5): awful - no breakfast bathroom and kitchen filthy
- Stefan (7/5): Good -
- Chris (7/5): Good -
- Annette (9/5): Relaxing and very warm and comfortable in the rooms - The beds were very comfortable and so were the pillows. Bedding was very clean. Friendly atmosphere at the pub. My TV was in an awkward position on the wall near the window which made it difficult to view.
I would have liked them to supply face washers.
Would have liked a nice lounge area upstairs for guests as there is not much space in the rooms. Out of the two Lounge areas, one was full of someone’s laundry drying (including over furniture) and the other was in an awkward small area right outside rooms.
- Jennifer (8/5): nice clean comfortable hotel in a charming town - very comfortable bed and nice room. coffee making facilities in the room and water. the shared bathrooms very clean. I came back to my room
and the lights and blinds were closed which I hadn’t done. Freaked me out because there are no staff around as it is all self check-in.
no soap in the bathrooms
can hear neighbours through the walls
- Georgina (7/5): Good -
- Gavin (6/5): Pleasant - good the Tv , air con , and table lamp were not working
- Paul (2/5): Never in my life will I stay here again! - Nothing, I don't drink so not even the bar that played loud music until late at night was attractive to me. There was nothing that I liked about this place. Come on people, there are no photo's on Bookings.com for this Hotel (how is that possible, please explain?). I strongly recommend that you remove this Hotel from your website. On arrival you get your room keys at the Bar (no reception), walk up the stairs to the second level with stained carpets and an old foul smell. Open my room and it was very small...if I put my riding gear on the floor then there is no space to move. Bed is a very cheap (low budget) metal frame bed (I was worried that I might bend the frame). The one pillow on the bed did not have a pillow cover on, only some strange material inner cover, small bedside table with a lamp (all there is space for). Very old free standing plywood drawer (like my grandmother used to have) and yes, the front of the bottom drawer was ripped off and placed on the side against the wall. Small TV mounted againt the wall that was unplugged with the charger and wire laying on the ground below and an aircon mounted above your bed. No bathroom facilities in your room. Very old communial bathroom down the hallway, dirty, the two plastic tap heads in the shower does not even match... few bottles of shower gel and shampoo left on the floor in the shower...maybe the guests'? Shared toilet is down the hallway and there is a communial kitchen ...I did not even want to touch anything. This is a very old building and the fire escape door has a printout on "Always keep this door closed" but it can't close and there are spider webs (many, many spider webs above the door on the inside...). I have to be honest, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my 14 years in Australia. The pub down stairs was playing load music until late...so very little sleep. I just wanted to get out of there and was standing next to my motorcycle at 6am the next morning ....ready to leave this place. If you think my review is poor....well go and see for yourself.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - The staff and the service was exceptional. They were friendly and helpful and I give the Hotel 10/10 for service. Although my booking.com is defaulted to 1 room 2 adults which is what I put in the search ... and booked the "Double Superior room" the little person next to the booking was only 1. So I didn't see this and as it was the only type of room available on booking.com I booked. When we arrived we were given the keys to room 11 which had only a king single bed in it which whether 1 or 2 people were in it squeaked with EVERY move. We did fit in the bed and this is not a reflection of the Millthorpe Hotel but with the booking.com booking system.
- Nada (2/5): who would have thought Millthorpe would have such poor standard of accomodation and service - Millthorpe town The bed was soft and wobbly, the doonas has yellow staning and only a top sheet provided no dooner cover
No mirror or side table in room , window was dirty and had cobwebs, the roller blind let sun in ,the room was above the outdoor smoking area and cigarette smoke odor was offensive
No hand soap in WC nothing to wipe hands with
No hanging space and a low cupboard in the room was taped up
NO WIFI NO land line either
Aircon remote was not provided
No smoke alarm in room seen
The common area chairs were heavily stained and bathrooms were grotty
Over all had the feel of a neglected grotty place
- Ken (7/5): Good -
- Stewart (8/5): Very good - Great country pub good atmosphere easy to deal with Nothing
- Michael (5/5): Passable -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - That it was very quiet and the food was great as well
- Jennifer (8/5): comfortable room, lovely staff, beautiful town - clean and attractive building historic and well maintained
