Guest Reviews
- Helen (10/5): Peaceful, and perfect stay - so peaceful. Couldn’t fault anything. Maybe a sink in the kitchen is what comes to mind. You can use the bathroom one though.
- Joanne (6/5): It was ok…. Not treasury like expecting. - The fact the projector screen pull down over the entrance to the room. So if you wanted to watch television you had to have curtains closed so you are unable to in the view. The Kitchenette should have a sink as the basin in the bathroom was too small, you could not even get the coffee machine jug under tap, had to use the shower to was dishes and fill up jug.

- Brigitte (10/5): - The easy check in and the rooms facilities, especially the bed!... really comfortable Nothing
- Jas (8/5): -
- Katrine (10/5): -
- Ave (10/5): extremely very satisfied and would definitely stay again and I would recommend to anyone - No breakfast available. Nice and secluded and quiet. the only negative but not a deal breaker..... a little bit hard to find in the dark, but the host Jeremy was extremely helpful and met me to assist me. a little hard to park out the front to unload baggage but again managed to get sorted, but if possible it would be good if there was little bit more space to manouvre a vehicle
- Angela (10/5): - Beautiful room with comfy bed and nice bathroom. Very tranquil. Nothing
- Piper (10/5): Amazing - This stay exceeded our expectations. The most beautiful room. It was in a great location, close but also far enough out that it felt very private. Absolutely loved it The only thing I can think of was that the fridge made some noises throughout the night which won’t partner up. But other than that, cannot fault the stay!
- Brenton (8/5): Ok for a night without rain - Well appointed room, comfy bed Felt a little like a motel, 5 side by side rooms on the opposite side of the private residence to where asked to park, if raining you have a 70 m dash to be undercover.
Poorly signed as 4/59 only on communications re address, coincidentally we were room 4 that was the house number in a private estate, I guess rooms 1,2,3&5 may drive into neighbours properties trying to find the right place. Couldn’t find the fire pit
- Alastair (9/5): Great place for a quiet romantic getaway - the room was well appointed and very well designed. Everything was clean and beautifully styled. Couldn't locate the fire pit
- Brock (5/5): -
- Naomi (10/5): - Beautifully decorated room, well appointed. Stunning location. Very peaceful atmosphere. We liked everything!
- Constance (10/5): -
- Kathy (10/5): Very quiet location, beautiful room, comfy bed, everything you need was provided and more. -
- Greg and Tracy (6/5): Very pretty but small room. No outdoor area. A bit overpriced for a small room. - The room was lovely. The ad showed a fire pit area which we’d hoped to use on arrival. It was very overgrown and couldn’t be used. It was cleared very late afternoon.
The room was tiny and there was no outdoor area to sit and enjoy the grounds.
We’d read previous reviews which all stated that they were greeted by the owners. We had no contact at all from them.
- Krystall (10/5): - So beautifully presented
Beds and bed linen was so comfortable
- Jenelle (10/5): -
- Wilson (8/5): Was a lovely place to stay and get away - Beautiful shower and sink made the place feel very clean and warm I didn’t relie the rooms were right next door as online it seemed as if they were separate and you wouldn’t see anybody. Still an awesome stay either way.
- David (8/5): - Cleanliness was excellent. The bed was comfortable bed. The location was hard to find. You could hear the neighbours.
- Brodie (8/5): Nice cabins in a beautiful location - The cabins are very clean with a decent size bathroom and very comfortable bed. The size is quite petite but has a good layout. The mini kitchenette (dry bar) really needs a sink to make it functional.
- brett (4/5): Room was good, everything else was terrible - Cleanliness of the room Fire place over grown, loose grass every where so couldn’t walk around grounds, gravel entrance, cars parked in front of room in the morning so had a view of other cars, still hear traffic on road, looked like a work site out back window, not happy for the price I paid 🤬
- Wayne (9/5): Great location and a very comfortable stay -
- Cotter (10/5): - Amazing room. Exceeded expectations.
- Lena (9/5): - Very modern and nice room. It felt special to be greeted with a bottle of wine.
- Nathan (4/5): Looks are decieving - Photos made it seem alot bigger. U were either jammed on the chairs right at the sliding door looking out the front or having to be in bed. No opportunity to just kick back and watch a movie unless u were in bed. No contact from staff. Outdoor fire pit was over grown and grass was 2ft tall. Unusable area. Woke up many times to neighbours tv blaring during the night. Very disappointed with the stay.
- Kellie (8/5): Our stay was just what we needed! A beautiful serene location close to everything. - Breakfast wasn't included. The location is excellent. I really loved sitting in bed or on the chairs gazing out at the beautiful trees. It was even beautiful on the Sunday when it absolutely poured down. I think it would be easier if they installed a sink in the kitchen. I think it would be nice to have some chairs outside the front door to look at the views more. We got quite lost trying to find the property as the address wasn't registering on our phones. Perhaps put the name of the estate entrance and tell people that the property is right at the end of the street.
- Kitchener (8/5): - No breakfast. Nice and quiet location. No drawer space at all. Need to supply a tea towel for wiping up. Parking area needs attention.
No smoking on property at all. There should be a warning that this is the case. If there is one on the website I didn’t see it.
- Joanne (8/5): Very nice host but no sink in kitchen - Location No sink in kitchen
- Renée (8/5): - Close to location The synthetic bedding was hot, only one mirror, no full length mirror, very small room
- Renée (7/5): - Close to wedding location The synthetic sheets were very hot, there was no top sheet. The room was snall to manouvere around, there was only one mirror over the sink which made it hard to get dressed for a wedding. They need a second full length mirror and maybe another mirror in the kitchenette.
- Isabella (9/5): Overall very nice, beautiful views. There are 3 suites all joined together - Location Upon first arrival to the suite it was very disappointing to see used nappies and rubbish outside the other suites.
Overall inside the suite was clean and presented well
Presentation of bathroom was lovely. Would be wonderful if a disposable shower cap had been supplied.
The suite has a kitchenette, with no sink, had to use bathroom sink to fill up coffee machine /kettle, this made it a little difficult, due to the tap. Under bathroom sink there was a used sponge and dishcloth, it’s not very hygienic, I would replace these and just leave Chux cloth, no tea towel to dry dishes or cups.
The suite has no TV however it does have a projector with drop down screen, we had free streaming , however not all worked prime asked for sign in.
There is no parking outside the suite you are advised to park , up near the main part of the house with the heavy rain that we had it makes it very hard to bing things to the suite
- Lee (10/5): It was luxurious, tranquil and relaxing - It was impeccable. I can not find any fault N/A
- Peter (7/5): A very nice room in a still developing country venue - The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and very good bathroom. Apart from the room, there were virtually no other attractions to the place. No garden, no paving, no courtyard, not much of a view.. I consider it was very overpriced for what it was.
- Samuel (10/5): -
- Sioux (8/5): Gave me the much needed space I required to be left alone to think. Thank you. - Exceptionally beautiful architecture and decor. It’s also a very quiet environment. Minor things: would have like a ceiling fan. Would have liked a kitchen sink so I can fill the kettle properly.
- Ellen (8/5): -
- John (10/5): Perfect place to spend a couple of tranquil nights - Quiet location in rural setting not far from rainforests. Great watching the sun rise and listening to the birds roost.
Nicely appointed room with excellent amenities and modern bathroom. Would recommend!
- Megan (9/5): -
- Modah (10/5): -
- Aleasia (10/5): -
- Sammy (9/5): Superb - Great little suites, has absolutely everything you need. Extremely clean, spacious bathroom and comfy beds. The projecter is sucha great little edition
- Astrid (7/5): Working progress - Even though it's a lovely new place still work to be completed, secured steps into unit, weeds outside the unit, no carpark space.
- Zee (10/5): Loved it!! If I could give it a higher rating I would! It’s all about quality at this accomodation. - Everything is immaculate! So beautiful the interior and also surrounded by nature lots of greenery which was a bonus. The bed was super comfy! I had the best sleep after a very long time. I would def stay here again. The owner was very helpful too. Nothing to fault
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (10/5): Perfect place to stay! - The rooms were so cute! Such an amazing place to stay, first time being in the area and we loved it Everything was great
- Jackson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (9/5): Superb -
- Toneya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (9/5): Superb - The owners have done a great job of making the apartments extremely comfortable with nice furnishings and decor.
The grounds are very nice, away from other properties and peaceful. Only slight criticism is the apartments are all joined, and next to the main house.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Travelbug (10/5): Stunning rooms on a beautiful property. Perfect for a romantic getaway or for some R&R. I loved my stay. Thank you 🤗 - The room had a beautiful outlook onto the property. It was pretty and so quiet. Exactly what I needed.
- Leanne (9/5): Superb - Quality of the room and location. Nothing
- Ashlie (10/5): Enjoyable off grid get away - Very clean N/A
- Robb (5/5): Was a bit pricey for what it was, which was basically just a bed for the night. - It was modern and clean, facilities were modern and clean. It was pretty basic, there was a bottle of wine and two glasses on the table but no indication if it was included in the price ( complimentary ) or whether we would be charged and how much.
The tv was a bit hard to operate, was all streaming services.
I thought there would be nice gardens to admire and wander through as advertised, but was just basically grass and a few big trees.
- Tenzin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brett (9/5): Pleasant stay - Very clean and modern
- Kerry (7/5): Good - Could not find the place ...it wad a very faded signage and late at night...l could not find it
- Courtney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (5/5): Overpriced compared to other accom in the area. - Studio decor, furnishings and style is very nice, and the inside is as advertised, bed is very comfortable. For the price point ($350 p/n) I expected a lot more. Price is similar to Pethers or Songbirds and there you get a lot more for your money (size of room, location, amenities, services, onsite activities).
The advertising of this place is to relax, unwind and escape, unfortunately…..
Air con sounded like a washing machine whenever it was on.
The low touch points need attention, very dusty.
Inside you have 2 chairs or the bed to sit on and nothing outside, nowhere for me to sit and have a morning coffee while my husband was still sleeping.
The communal fire pit area needs a thorough tidy up, a broken chair, lots of spider webs, and no wood or a way to start a fire.
Unit 5 - walk 2 steps outside and directly to the left you see the septic tank, water tanks and an area under construction. Need some privacy screens between units.
- Cawdell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wei (9/5): Superb -
- Charmian (9/5): Lovely/clean - Room was clean and tidy but needs a sink in the kitchenette, the other recommendation would be more outside entertainment area and a spa to add to the relaxation vibe.
- Lynda (6/5): Pleasant - The shower, bed and linen. Room wasn't freshened up or no replaced water bottles on the 2nd day.
No lights where we had to park the car, car parked too far away in the wet grass. No bin in kitchenette.( sorry we left our rubbish on the bench)
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the remoteness, cleanliness and proximity to the location we were attending a wedding. Nothing
- Rakaipaka (10/5): Great space, well thought out, quality finishings. lots of little extras. Will definitely book again. -
- Anita (8/5): Very good -
- Wayne (8/5): In a location where accommodation in in relatively short supply this was akin to an oasis in a desert. Very comfortable. - Open and fresh and utilising the magnificent attributes of the Mt Tamborine countryside. Very close to other complementary locations for dinner and breakfast. The information folder, while nicely presented did not provide information on how the attached house engaged with the guest rooms?
- Laura (9/5): COMPACT ELEGANCE - Ashiyana Escapes is a fairly new property and a welcomed addition to the accommodation available at Tamborine Mountain. Catherine was a lovely host, helpful and very welcoming. From the moment entering the room, you feel at home, be it the bottle of red upon your arrival, the exceptionally soft sheets/Duna Cover, the well equipped mini kitchenette or the tastefully designed bathroom. There even is a ceiling mounted projector, together with a pull down screen, should you wish to watch TV in bed. Finding the property can be a little tricky, but look for a small placard that reads ASHIYANA ESCAPES.
There is no sink in the kitchenette, so any cups, etc need to be washed in the bathroom.
- Bel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Allie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful spot, amazing rooms/decor and the hosts were lovely - very accommodating and quick to respond to our queries. Nothing.
- Kathryn (9/5): Amazing location in Tamborine! Will definitely be back! So nicely furnished - Beautiful done & furnished Nothing really
- Dwyer (8/5): I didn’t realise how closely connected the rooms were from each other -
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional - Room was clean and had everything we needed. Very very comfy bed, linen and room was lovely and clean. Friendly staff. A beautiful location. Loved it all
- Heather (10/5): Peaceful - The room was really clean! It’s a cute little space… me and my partner just loved the whole area even before entering the room. It’s so serene, we are definitely going back for a longer stay!! Walls are a bit thin.
- Carlah (7/5): Good -
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Everything about it Bed was amazing
- Cassandra (10/5): Exceeded our expectations. Quiet and quaint -
- Jesse (6/5): Pleasant -
- Fred (6/5): Friendly host, comfortable bed, but a little off the beaten track. - Quiet and comfortable Looked like a recent build, but some discrepancies were evident. We had trouble opening and locking the door with the key from the lock box, and were given confusing and conflicting information about the lockbox code. The bathroom and toilet were well designed and the layout was functional and efficient. The kitchenette had a fridge, pod coffee machine, coffee and ups, but no sink, so to clean anything up we had to take things through to the bathroom. The fridge was so noisy that I had to switch it off during the night. The projector TV made good use of the space, but it took us a while to work out how to use the remote to size the projection to the screen, and the instructions weren’t really any help. The fridge door scraped on the floor. The bottle of complimentary wine was a nice touch. However, with the exception of the absence of a kitchen sink, all of these little niggles are easily addressed 😊
- Isabel (7/5): Relaxing - The fire place Parking
- Hio (10/5): Exceptional - My recent weekend stay at Ashiyana Escapes in Mt Tambourine was a truly refreshing experience. The peaceful, laid-back atmosphere made it the ideal place to unwind and recharge. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of calm that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings. The accommodations were exceptionally comfortable and clean. For anyone seeking a serene and rejuvenating escape, Ashiyana Escapes is a fantastic choice. There’s absolutely nothing I could fault!
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalia (10/5): Great suites! - The suites were very nice and Cozy. Staff was very accommodating as we needed earlier check in for a wedding Everything was great. Probably a suggestion will be to have additional covers stored in the suite as it was winter
- Rachel (8/5): Clean and in a good location but the price is steep - The property has quality furnishings and has been well thought out. It was also very clean The rooms are right next to each other and are very small with no ability to cook other than by way of a microwave and the bathroom sink. They did say they would be getting a barbecue in the future. They also said it would cost $10 to use the communal fire place. Later another staff member/owner contacted us and said they had set up the fire for us which was done free of charge so that was resolved without us raising the issue. Nevertheless, the price we paid was very steep when you can stay in 5 star luxury in Brisbane for the same price
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional - Great facility peaceful warm A little far out but not a deal breaker
- Naomi (9/5): Very short but very comfortable - It was very clean, fresh and comfortable. Unfortunately you can hear the people in the neighbouring rooms talking and snoring…
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional - Immaculate interiors. Left my ring behind and owners posted it free of charge. Will be back!
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Annette (8/5): It was for one day and we did relax. - The room was clean and bed comfortable. We really liked the bathroom. The pillows were not very good. Projector was an issue getting it to work and just didn’t turn on in the morning. We didn’t bother with it.
I didn’t think the hosts were interested in the guests and I stood at the door for 5 minutes asking for help.
- Dexann (10/5): Beautiful Escape - This gem was more than what we expected, it was very clean and comfortable, easy instructions on accessing the property.
We also got a complimentary bottle of wine from the host to top off what was truly an amazing stay.
- Jay (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Sasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (10/5): Our stay at Ashiyana Escaspes was a perfect little getaway for a recent wedding. The property was located in a tranquil - The property was tranquil and private. No road or aircraft noise. Not even a mower. The grounds were perfectly kept as were the rooms. The room was well appointed with tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. There were also board games for those rainy days in. As we were there for a wedding and required an earlier check in, the hosts accommodated our request without any issues. Communication was prompt which assisted with our planning. What’s not to like about the property! The only thing which could have made our stay perfect was to have a sink in the kitchenette area. There was also hair on the bench in the kitchen space from previous guests.
- Susan (1/5): No stay as could not get in - We didnt stay as couldnt get in We booked the room rather late but was advised that the room was available for us and money taken. When we found the property we werent able to get in as the code didnt work. We decided to drive home. We were reimbursed for the inconvenience.
