• Stefan (10/5): Sehr schöner und unvergesslicher Aufenthalt. - Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr zentral und im alten Stadtkern gelegen. Parkmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe verfügbar und zu Fuss schnell erreichbar. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig im Dachgeschoss zu finden. Bei schönem Wetter kann man sogar auf der Dachterrasse sitzen und essen. Die ganze Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet und man fühlt sich sehr willkommen. Wir hoffen, dass wir eines Tages zurückkehren dürfen.

And the owner is very helpful, she helped us with the bus connection. We had a little bit problem with the blank space between the bathroom wall and the bedroom because of humidity and no privacy in the bathroom.

• Patricia (7/5): Alojamiento acogedor - Chiara es una anfitriona muy buena y muy atenta, con todo preparado al detalle. Deja en la cocina común a disposición de los huéspedes postres caseros (en nuestro caso un tiramisú riquísimo) y algo de bebida y huevos de su granja (muy buenos, por cierto). También dispone de una terraza muy acogedora en la azotea donde poder desayunar tranquilamente. Para cenar, Chiara nos recomendó unos restaurantes donde cenamos unas pizzas riquísimas y a muy buen precio. La ubicación no es del todo excelente, ya que no se puede acceder fácilmente con el coche. Sin embargo, Chiara nos recomendó un parking gratuito a 5 minutos. Por otro lado, el baño, al estar separado de la habitación, es algo incómodo. En la habitación había dos puertas, y por una de ellas entraba mucha luz, algo incómodo también. El edificio está muy completo, aunque necesitaría algo de reforma, ya que se ve algo antiguo en ciertos aspecto.

Booked a room with two beds (at least) but got a room with one bed only - the staff was very reluctant to fix it and also disrespectful. So, inadequately expensive given such experience. The light is also too bright and white, needs warming down.

In hartje Sortino - De grootte van de kamer, de rustige locatie, de gemeenschappelijke keuken, de verse eitjes in de koelkast en het dakterras, de faciliteiten op de kamer, de badkamer, de communicatie met de eigenaar. Alles was top! Als ik één ding moet noemen zou het fijn zijn als de badkamermuur tot het plafond reikte voor meer privacy ;)

• AlexaaaB (10/5): - Absolutely pristine and gorgeous. The rooms even come with a tiny homemade soap and a bamboo toothbrush! The upstairs dining room, kitchen and terrace are just stunningly adorable, and I was able to cook dinner with ingredients I picked up at the grocery and produce stores. Unfortunately the checkout is 10am, but I asked for 11am with no problem, so you can too! HOSTS OF THE WORLD: PLEASE ABOLISH THE 10AM CHECKOUT! 😋 Would also be amazing if you had decaf coffee available. 😁
• John (9/5): - Soggiorno fantastico a Ficodindia Rooms! Ho soggiornato qui dal 15 al 17 agosto e non potrei essere più soddisfatto. La struttura è esattamente come descritta su Booking.com: le camere sono accoglienti, pulite e l'atmosfera è davvero rilassante. Un ringraziamento speciale a Chiara, la proprietaria, che è stata incredibilmente disponibile e gentile. Era sempre raggiungibile via WhatsApp e pronta a darci consigli o aiutarci per qualsiasi cosa. La cucina è un vero punto di forza. È sempre ben fornita con uova fresche e cibo per la colazione, ma in realtà è disponibile per quasi tutto il giorno, il che è comodissimo. Non posso non menzionare il tiramisù fatto in casa, che è semplicemente delizioso! Se dovessimo tornare a Sortino, soggiorneremo sicuramente di nuovo qui. Consigliatissimo! Niente

• Natalija (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy and clean apartments in the center of Sortino. Everything was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. The shared kitchen always had light snacks, desserts, and everything needed to make coffee or tea. Breakfast was self-service style but plentiful and tasty. We really enjoyed our stay!

• Almasi (10/5): Exceptional - We spent one night at Ficodondia, and found the town of Sortino because of this B&B... Wanted to stay and experience real Sicily outside the large tourist area of Siracusa. Chiara the host/owner has put a lot of heart, work and great taste turning the place into a little hospitable gem inside a small Sicilian town. She promptly provided practical suggestions for parking within short walking distance from the house. The house is very neat, common kitchen well stocked with goodies, good food available for guests anytime. Including fresh tiramisu and red wine cake! We liked the place and the host very much, and do recommend others to choose it.
• Lynn (10/5): Lovely place to stay inland from Siracusa near Pantalica - This is a super place to stay. Fantastic breakfast, with organic eggs from the owner Chiara's farm, yogurt, fruit, muesli and lots more. Chiara leaves a fridge in the breakfast room packed with home-made goodies - tiramisù, cannoli siciliani, torta di cioccolata....in fact, a new cake appeared every day we were staying there. Next to the breakfast room there's a little terrace which is a pleasant place to sit. There are two bikes available for hire (a mountain bike and an electric bike). Our room was furnished in a simple retro/chic/eco style. The location is right in the centre of town, 2 minutes walk from a bakery and small greengrocer where we bought bread and fruit etc for lunch. Everything about the accommodation is lovely. In terms of the wider area in general, it's useful to know that in order to cycle along the cycle path / former railway line in Pantalica, it's necessary to request an authorisation permit a week in advance from the Pantalica Natural Reserve authorities. There is no information about how to do this on the Natural Reserve website; we tried but failed, despite the help of a kind local resident. It would be nice if the Natural Reserve would make the system more transparent and less bureaucratic.

• Wouter (10/5): A taste of local Sicilian lifestyle - The contact with Chiara was very smooth and pleasant. I was able to check in by myself and found a parking spot nearby. The place itself has a homely feel to it, it is well cared for and beautifully decorated. Mind the details! I only spent one night as I was passing through but can very easily imagine staying there for the longer term. I had a very quiet night sleep, which I hold quite dear. I was the only guest though, lucky me. The town is an absolute gem. Go to the Pizzoleria! I didn't try the local speciality (pizzolo) because I had my heart set on a pizza. It was one of the best pizza's I ever had, no kidding.

Good location and parking only a 5 min.walk away. Via whatsapp the owner was very friendly. It was hard to get the kitchen area warm in the winter. Also some bigger pots / pans for cooking would be great.

• Hamid (10/5): Exceptional - The property was designed by an architect, and the organic products in the kitchen were the best I’ve ever had. Believe me, the taste of the products was completely different. On top of that, the owner was so kind, providing me with all the information I asked about the island and the local experience. At the end, she even gave me a tour of her farm, where all of those organic products come from.

• Minna (5/5): terrbile parking, no one one site, except briefly when we first arrive - the room was big; self serve breakfast was decent The website said that though they did not have parking, there is parking nearby. That was true. But it DID NOT say that you could not drive up to the door to unload our baggage. it was ona tiny little street. WE had to temporarioy park in fron tof the church dwon the street, and then then later we moved the car to the free parking lot several streets away. Also we never met the owner, and some young man whocould not speak any english, basically gave us our keys, and then we were on our own for 2 days over the weekend. if we had had nay other problems, we would have had no one to turn to or to call. It worked out, but was very frustrating.
