Guest Reviews
- Gillian (9/5): Perfect for beach holiday. Wonderful cafe onsite Easy drive to Hornsea - Location was great. Bungalow is well laid out and comfortable Need to upgrade the bedding. The sheet was very bobbled and scratchy. But minor compared to the other positives about the accommodation
- sue (5/5): -
- Christine (10/5): A Wonderful, relaxing , peaceful few days away! - Such a cosy and warm home away from home. Loved the sea view, the outdoor furniture with enclosed garden for the doggos and the people who ran this accommodation were absolutely wonderful! I would have liked internet as the phone signal was a little poor, but to be honest - I couldn’t really fault the accommodation at all really!
- Caroline (10/5): Fantastic cottage. - So many things! Location, warm and well appointed, gas fire that looked like a log burner, dog blankets provided, well resourced kitchen, lovely little garden, comfortable bed. Literally nothing.
- mark (8/5): Lovely peaceful stay in a clean warm accommodation by the beach - Lovely peaceful location, nice clean warm comfortable accommodation, enclosed garden for our dog, accommodation all on one level, which helps as I have mobility issues, couple of minutes from a dog friendly beach. The under counter fridge, and tiny freezer, because I have severe arthritis in my back ,The 3 gates to access the property, especially when unloading and loading the car with luggage,Having to go through the small patio area at the back of the tea rooms with a lead reactive dog was challenging when busy,Not having an information folder about the accommodation about WiFi etc,As much as we had lovely hosts we prefer a key safe to let yourself in,
- paul (9/5): -
- Clare (10/5): We had a wonderful stay very helpful and friendly family run cafe afternoon tea was a must - The host and the sea view the enclosed garden the gas burning fire was cosy Nothing really to many gates to open close but was ok not lite up on night
- Andrew (10/5): - Very clean, warm and with everything you could want for a happy stay. Nothing.
- Tracey (10/5): Lovely spacious but cosy bungalow. The sunrises are beautiful! -
- Aspin (9/5): Private and quiet, self contained bungalow. - Great quiet location, near beach. Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of space. Warm and comfortable. Enclosed, secure garden for dog. Feature fireplace. Cafe on site. Pathway slippy due algae. No welcome pack/ checkout information. Internet access is very poor.
- Vicki (8/5): - Friendly helpfuk staff. Lovely place to stay for a long weekend just a short stroll to beach cosy comfortable living room with fire. Open fields at back. Very clean everything we needed. Lov
- Helen (7/5): - Very homely accommodation with very friendly hosts
- Colleen (10/5): Great get away my new favourite bolt hole. - I arrived early without prior notice my hosts were very accommodating and pleasant lovely family. I loved the peace and tranquillity also the beach being a very short walk away which my dog and myself loved. Very accommodating towards dogs enclosed garden and water bowls everywhere. Thank you for a great stay will definitely be back. Nothing
- Louise (10/5): Cozy bungalow with everything you need for your stay. Close to beach - Quiet location but accessible to surrounding areas
- Sharon (8/5): Excellent - Garden and patio for the dogs. Very warm and cosy. Nothing
- Haigh (8/5): Lovely cosy stay - The hosts were amazing, very accommodating and friendly. The family also owns the cafe which has a variety of breakfast and lunch options and beautiful freshly baked cakes! They even had gluten free options and the Gf Viccy sponge was the die for 😍
The accommodation is spacious and modern, has a pull out sofa bed, double bed and walk in shower. Some games and books in the property provided entertainment for our 5 year old.
Kitchen was equipped well and we were welcomed with some mil, eggs and biscuits which was a lovely touch.
The beach is within a few minutes walk away and so lovely!
Our dog also enjoyed his stay, especially the beach!
Thank you! The accommodation was tidy but needed a deep clean in places and maybe tiny bit of modernisation but overall it's a great base for activities and we didn't have any complaints!
- Jan (10/5): - Peaceful location, lovely hosts. Comfortable bed
- Samantha (10/5): Cosy, beachside escape - So fantastic to be on the beach in a few minutes Nothing
- Alyson (9/5): -
- Homes (10/5): Even in a storm it is so tranquil. Thank you - We love coming here, large but cozy. Always met with a friendly hazel both times we’ve been. Nothing!
- Gina (9/5): - Loved the location near the beach. Great for the dogs. Bungalow was very cosy and comfortable and had everything you could need. The welcome eggs and cake was much appreciated. we were greeted by the lovely family who own it. It had everything we needed and the bed was so comfy I didn't want to leave. With a disabled hubby the distance from the bungalow to where we could park, made unloading luggage and the dogs quite a task for me on my own. Due to the time of year the pathway to the bungalow was very dark on an evening. We tried to manage using our phones but it would be safer with better lighting installed from the cafe seating area in particular.
- Karen (10/5): Lovely gem of a place - Clean and comfy ,brilliant hosts, tea room food is lovely, enclosed garden for your dogs, dog friendly, recycling facilities in bungalow, can also see the sea The only thing I think could be added is a container to recycle batteries as didn't want to put them in waste but that is just a personal thing
- Pamela (10/5): Perfect for access to local resorts and beach - The location is peaceful and quiet, it’s very close to the beach. Its kitchen and bathroom facilities are modern. The bedroom a good size double. Very comfortable.
- Karen (10/5): - Lovely accomadation,great location,amazing hosts,very close to the beach,dog friendly with an enclosed garden
- Dawn (10/5): Excellent bungalow and very friendly hosts. - Lovely bungalow in a great location. Ideal for quiet walks on the beach and very dog friendly.
Cafe next door is excellent and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. The bungalow has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Garden could do with a bit of tlc.
- Alison (10/5): Peaceful perfect hideaway. - The perfect holiday home. Peaceful, comfortable dog friendly bungalow and lovely garden....could even see the sea from the sofa or sit outside and enjoy the view. Everything you'd need for an amazing holiday provided and minutes from a fantastic beach. The dogs loved it too and didn't want to leave either. Friendly, helpful hosts and lovely tea room. Will definitely be booking for next year. Nothing!!
- Cresia (9/5): - The location is very near the beach and secluded . The hosts leaving milk, eggs and beautiful shortbread biscuits was a lovely touch. Fantastic facilities in the bungalow.. everything you could need for your stay. Parking is out on a road 3 gates away from the property. No private car parking space just pot luck if there is a space when returning from a day out. The garden area could benefit from a little TLC
- April (10/5): -
- Judith (9/5): Lovely. - Hidden gem of a place.
- Laura (10/5): - In a lovely quiet village, everyone is nice and friendly, bungalow was clean, spacious and there is a cafe close which is a bonus. Beach is a 5 mintue walk if that. There's an enclosed garden which is perfect for your pooches! Nothing not to like
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Smith (10/5): - Just beautiful 😍 Nothing
- Debbie (10/5): -
- Alison (8/5): Nice little bungalow - Nice little bungalow well presented and equipped with most of the necessaries. .Secure garden for the dog. Dog friendly.. Not really criticism, more observations based on using other properties. Parking not guaranteed and not many other options depending on the time you arrive, but ok later in the day.. No microwave. Not set up as well as it could be for self catering. Bedding not really set up for the sofa bed. Garden could be made more private from owners.with a trellis fence - would be a bonus.
- Karen (10/5): Lovely short break with fabulous friendly hosts - Lovely location, very private & only a few minutes walk from the beach
- Rebecca (10/5): Brilliant stay dogs loved it we will be back - Great location very comfy property. Lovely hosts and lovely breakfast

The beach is all year round dog friendly and right on the doorstep . Sat outside listening to the waves! Cafe next door if I didn’t want to cook . No Internet
- Brenda (9/5): Superb - A very friendly welcome. Beautiful dog friendly bungalow. Just as described.
- Roslyn (8/5): Very good - Detached property, good Internal layout, All on one level, Private garden, not overlooked. Peaceful location close to the sea/beach. Level access from road, no steps. Friendly hosts. Cafe close by.

- Dean (10/5): Great place to stay - We have just returned from a three night stay at The Seaview Bungalow. We were greeted by the owners who had lit the log fire ready for our arrival . There is an enclosed dog friendly garden with great views across to the coast line, really peaceful. It is well situated for coastal walks or accessing other resorts .we had breakfast each morning at the Post Office Cafe owned by the hosts .. Good Value hearty breakfasts and Vegetarian options . The hosts/family are perfect hosts, friendly making sure everything in place . We would definitely recommend. Great dog friendly accommodation and Cafe . Perfect for a quiet get away . Will be going back
- Asha (10/5): Lovely, cozy bungalow to relax in after a fun day out at the beach. -
- Helen (8/5): Very good - Lovely cottage, perfect for our get together
- Josh (8/5): Very good -
- Deb (7/5): Lovely accommodation but not great service from the hosts. - Great location close to the beach and with a view of the sea from the secure garden. Plenty of space, comfortable bedding, lots of throws, very dog friendly, good heating. Kitchen equipment very sparse; within an hour of arriving we had a power cut - no-one came to see if we were ok. When I went to find the owner I was told there had been a torch but it had been stolen. We were tired and hungry and now had no heating except a small gas fire and no cooking facilities, but they seemed disinterested (even though the owners run a cafe and surely could have helped us with some food). Luckily we had head torches with us... and the power came back on within half an hour or so. It's a long walk from the car as you can't park where they do, even though there's plenty of room. No-one offered to help us carry our bags. The accomodation was quite clean but far from perfect; the games advertised for example, were just thrown in a box. There was no welcome pack - it would have been a great idea to leave us some bread / milk / sample of their cake (which we've had before so know it's amazing). There wasn't even a menu for the cafe in the accommodation. They're definitely missing a trick there! We know the cafe has lovely food, cake and ice-cream but due to their lack of interest when we had the power cut, we decided not to spend any money there on this occasion.
- Paulina (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely little bungalow:) Great hosts. Wonderful
location. Dog friendly.Warm and comfortable had everything we needed and fireplace added charm during the Christmas holiday season. We'll be definitely staying again.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - The family are very good hosts, food lovely we would go back again. Nothing
- Arlene (10/5): We had a lovely relaxing time, the hosts were very friendly and helpful. - The location was perfect for us and having the tea room so close was a added bonus the breakfast was delicious and we ordered a afternoon tea which was beautiful.
- Halasz (9/5): Wonderful little bungalow, great value for money. We will be back! - Absolutely fantastic location, bungalow was very well equipped and cosy. Loved the fire! Lovely secure garden for the dog which gave us peace of mind. Great breakfast and coffee from the cafe. No wifi which was a pain as the phone signal was terrible
Bed was quite small but my partner is 6 ft 6 so understandable!
Only 1 toilet roll for 2 adults for 2 nights. I'm sure hosts would have provided more if we asked but we like to live dangerously!
- Asha (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (7/5): Good -
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dawn (10/5): Fantastic - Very comfortable bungalow with all amenities needed for a short or long stay. Safe and secure garden for the dog and the bungalow is very spacious inside with an extremely comfortable bed. The hosts are very friendly and run the excellent little tea shop next door.
The cottage is a very near the beach which is fantastic for long walks with the dog. Nothing
- June (9/5): Great place to stay, basically I travelled to visit family and this place was close to them. -
- Nott (9/5): Superb - Friendly and welcoming hosts
Clean and tidy
Comfortable and warm
Cosy and like home-from-home
5 mins walk to beach
Thoughtful touches
Comfortable bed
Great shower and water pressure
Private and quiet 2 bath sheet towels would have been handy
A fire pit or BBQ pit on the patio would be lovely
- Stuart (6/5): Good stay but could have been a fantastic one - Location) about 100yd walk to Beach)
Layout of bungalow
Nice newish kitchen
Good outside enclosed space for dogs
Quiet
Good seaviews
Reasonably priced General maintenance a bit lacking
Fence needs painting
Patio needs cleaned and weeds cleared
Laminate flooring coming apart in kitchen area
Mould round bottom of shower tray
Hot water tap can suddenly scald you as the water pressure fluctuates
Room for bed to be kingsized
No vacuum cleaner( 2 dogs coming in from sandy beach)
Glass extractor is too close to kettle area and banged my head on corner when making tea/coffee
Don't think fan in bathroom is working
Bar of soap in bathroom is a no no- should be liquid soap from a dispenser
Lounge curtains drape over electric radiators and have to be tucked onto window cill to stop them from becoming excessively hot ( longer pole and tie backs would sort this out)
Grab rail in shower enclosure would be good especially for people unsteady on their feet
A small welcome pack would be good( bread, milk butter) especially for those people travelling a distance
This review is not left to frighten anyone from booking this delightful little bungalow but merely as a help to the hosts of how to make it much better even if it meant adding a little to the price.
- Lynn (8/5): Great for a peaceful getaway - Light & spacious accommodation, private garden, dog friendly, lovely kitchen & bathroom, very comfortable bed, plenty wardrobe hanging, near dog friendly beach, cafe fab & friendly staff. Parking on road out of sight. Due to our age/mobility, bit of a struggle getting bags/clothes etc from car to property. No Wifi.
- Grattoni (9/5): Lovely place to stay - Great bungalow with all the facilities we needed and more. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Nice location, close to the beach The weather wasn't great, but we still enjoyed our stay
- Ross (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and Tidy, great location Nothing
- Nicolaas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Asha (9/5): Superb -
- Rocio (7/5): Great location and price. That’s all. - Great location, good price. No sugar, coffee or enough toilet roll. Staff didn’t help and had to pay for a normal coffee at the tea room. I asked for more toilet paper but only one (not even a new one) per stay.
No signal or WiFi.
- Mr (6/5): Great location - Great location a few minutes walk to the beach.
Weather was great so made it a better stay. A little tired, you struggle to see the sea view as the trees obscure it. There is no internet, I knew this when booking but you can't get roaming either so internet is needed.
No vacuum cleaner which is a must for longer stays.
A king-size bed would be better as there is sufficient space in the bedroom.
Car parking was sometimes a problem so had to use the owners private drive until a space became available on the roadside.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Damian (9/5): A lovely relaxing place by the sea to recharge or rewind... - It's a lovely place, great view and very chilled.. spacious accommodation and very comfortable. the family run tea shop is excellent and does a brilliant breakfast. Proximity to to the beach is also worth noting and this is close enough to get an ice cream to the sea without melting too much .. Being massively picky I would have liked a more modern TV, and WiFi but honestly it wasn't a big deal.. the beach and the view and the whole setup is charming. Parking can be tight but if you can get a space outside the tea shop, you are winning..
- Donna (8/5): Lovely place shame about the weather - The piece and quiet and the beach Parking and uncomfortable bed
- Marie (9/5): Superb -
- Darren (10/5): Really nice little cottage with deffo stay again -
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leeann (10/5): Perfect - Location perfect, comfortable accommodation everything you need , convenience of purchasing breakfast on the property grounds purchased from the hosts cafe business, very welcoming hosts , will return again.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Great location for the beach. Dog friendly. Fantastic friendly staff .
- Lesley (6/5): Pleasant - 1. Warm and friendly welcome
2. Good location for walks and exploring east Yorkshire
3. Clean and tidy
4. View of the sea when stood in the garden 1. No hot water in sinks including kitchen (despite reporting)
2. The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work.
- Esther (9/5): Relaxing stay near the beach. - The location was brilliant for the beach. The lovely little garden to sit and relax in and listen to the birds. The friendly welcome from the owners. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. Nothing we didn't like.
- Asha (10/5): Perfect location and lovely hosts - Location was perfect, garden and proximity to the beach was perfect for the dog. Just needed a bit of vaccum.
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (9/5): Relaxing. Refreshing. Worth It. - The location is great. We were forewarned that WiFi was unavailable but at odd times a connection was found but only for a random amount of time. Probably something to do with the weather. Watching the birds visit the garden easily made up for being out of contact.
The cafe is really nice and well worth visiting. The hosts were very welcoming even though we had arrived earlier than we stated. The only thing that irked me was the glass surround of the kitchen extractor hood. It is, for me, at just the wrong height and I hit my head on it twice. That’s the ONLY thing!. And I did it twice ??!🤔
- Deb (10/5): Exceptional - Very private and quiet. Dog friendly garden . Very close to the beach. Everything you need and more with café right next door. Super friendly hosts.
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing

- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely, cosy bungalow and owners who provide a warm welcome. - Well maintained, lovely and cosy. We were made very welcome and there was little extras provided to be able to make a cuppa, some condiments and washing up liquid all the things you usually forget! Property was secluded and so peaceful and quiet. We will most definitely be back in 2024! Nothing. There is no WiFi and limited mobile coverage. Personally we loved being able to escape everything for a few days.
- Luc (9/5): Superb -
- Fabio (9/5): It was our second time staying at that property. - It was our second time staying at that property. The proximity to the beach makes that bungalow a perfect place to stay on that region of England. A dog friendly place also makes a difference.
- Anonymous (9/5): Fantastic hosts lovely bungalow close to the beach and cafe great full breakfast and ideal location for east coast towns - Very clean cosy bungalow next to the cafe so ideal. Lovely modern clean holiday home close to the beach . Nothing
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (10/5): We had a lovely stay, the weather wasn’t on our side but that didn’t matter. We played games by the fire and had a good - It was a short walk to the beach, it was lovely and cosy having everything you could need.
I liked the fact that there was no wi-fi which meant we could enjoy our stay with no distractions.
The hosts were so welcoming and nothing was too much for them.
The bed and the sofa bed were really comfortable, it felt like a home away from home and we will definitely be back again. There isn’t anything I could say we didn’t like.
