• Katie (10/5): Great location and hosts! - The host and her family were so lovely and accomodating. We booked the homestay as it was only a 15 minute walk to the entrance of Sigiriya which was ideal. It’s also only a 2 minute walk to the local bus stop which was helpful when going to the Dambulla Cave Temples. We had lovely breakfast and dinner provided by the host. Also nothing beats walking outside and seeing monkeys! Overall a great experience!

So friendly and the breakfast was brilliant. They sorted all taxis for us and just made everything so easy. The kothu the owner made for dinned is still the best we’ve had here. • Silvia (10/5): Malika e Prabash, due persone speciali in un posto meraviglioso. - Abbiamo soggiornato nella Homestay di Palitha circa una settimana, siamo state calorosamente accolte e questo è stato solo l'inizio. Malika e la sua famiglia ci hanno fatto veramente sentire a casa, con colazioni abbondanti e buonissime, cene e pranzi a prezzi imbattibili con possibilità di scelta (cucina fantastica, super apprezzata!). La settimana passata con loro rimarrà nei nostri cuori, cosi come l'autista che ci hanno consigliato, Prabash, con cui abbiamo viaggiato praticamente tutti i giorni e alla fine è diventato un amico per noi. Grazie a tutti per aver reso la nostra prima settimana in Sri Lanka indimenticabile. Assolutamente consigliato, venite a soggiornare qui se volete vivere un'esperienza autentica con una famiglia fantastica!!! La nostra stanza era molto basic, ma con tutti i comfort di cui uno può necessitare. Location immersa nella natura, a pochi minuti dal famoso Sigiriya. Obiekt otoczony jest wspaniałą roślinnością, klimatyczne pokoje, wygodne łóżka, bardzo czysto. Przyjazna obsługa, pyszne śniadanie. Serdecznie polecamy. Wszystko nam się podobało. Szkoda, że spędziliśmy tam tylko jedną noc.

It felt like I was staying within the jungle amidst all the greenery. The breakfast provided was good and the manager was very helpful in arranging Tuk Tuks whenever I required them at market price. The bathroom was a little difficult to navigate and the rooms were old but okay for the price.

Завтрак — вкусный и с заботой. всё было свежим и сытным. Трансферы — хозяин организовал несколько моих поездок по Шри Ланка . Всё чётко, вовремя и с улыбкой. Расположение — до горы Сигирия можно дойти пешком, тук-тук за 500 рупий. Магазины и кафе, прачечная рядом.Главное — ощущение, что тебя здесь действительно ждут. Всё было очень чисто, спокойно и по-домашнему. Если вы ищете место на 1–2 ночи в Сигирии — это идеальный вариант.Удачи этому дому!

• Michaela (9/5): - Palitha Homestay war für uns eine richtig schöne Erfahrung. Der Besitzer hat uns herzlich begrüßt, sich viel Zeit genommen und uns mit allen wichtigen Infos versorgt. Die Lage ist praktisch, man kann zu Fuß ins Zentrum laufen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück, das wirklich lecker war und schon im Preis enthalten ist. Auch die Minibar im Zimmer war gut bestückt. Für 33,82 $ für zwei Nächte zu zweit ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wirklich top. Nur die Safari war eher enttäuschend – unser Fahrer war kein Guide und hat nichts erklärt. Das sollte man separat organisieren. Abgesehen davon ist das Homestay sehr empfehlenswert.

• Sam (5/5): - Location is great for getting to Lion's Rock as it's a very short drive away. Breakfast was very tasty and having free filtered water available is really great. Room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. The breakfast times are only 7-9am, and you need to check out by 10am, which is tricky if you are planning on doing Lion's Rock in the morning. There didn't seem to be any flexibility on breakfast times which was a shame. I don't think this is a regular occurrence, but when we stayed, there was a wedding/party and a restaurant next to the property, which played music incredibly loudly until 4am which made it very hard to sleep.

• Natalia (10/5): - The hospitality of the staff and location. You can walk to Sigiriya in 10 minutes and you're also quite close to Dambulla and Minneriya by tuk tuk. They inform you so well about the options and places to visit nearby.

• Svenja (10/5): Welcoming and comfortable homestay close to Minneriya National Park - Palitha Homestay is one of the most welcoming places we have stayed in! The place is surrounded by forest (which allows you to spot different kind of animals around), the rooms are simple but clean and have everything you need. The breakfast is good, the dinner even better :-)  PLUS: The common area convinces with two comfortable hammocks! In the evening, you are advised to not leave the place for a walk because of the risk of encountering wild elefants. On our way back from the safari we actually did see an elefant roaming the area, so we can only recommend to follow these valuable instructions ;-) The host went beyond our expectations in order to make our stay most comfortable: When we wanted to get to Pidurangala Rock in the very early morning to see the sunrise, he drove us there himself; same for getting to Dambulla. He organised a wonderful elefant safari to Minneriya National Park for us, as well as the transport to our next location. All of this for very (!) fair prices. We can only recommend this place! Maybe a mosquito net could be an additional plus for some guests (however, we did not miss it)
