Guest Reviews
- Martin (8/5): - Location was amazing comfortable beds The dark stairs and very steep. Could benefit from blinds or black out curtains
- mccallum (9/5): Festival weekend - Had everything we needed Key box needs re fixed to wall and maybe more towels but apart from that was ideal, stairs are a nightmare to get into flat also
- Malcolm (8/5): Nice clean apartment in a great location. Great value if you’re a hiker. Or a mountain goat. - The location to downtown Campbelltown was terrific. It was a nice bright, very clean apartment. Beds and so forth, reasonably comfortable. The proprietors need to be transparent about the fact that renters have to climb 62 (that’s SIXTY) stairs up a narrow, concrete, and rather shifty looking staircase to get to the apartment. I’m 70 years old and my wife is 68. If anyone had been even in slightly less better condition than us, they simply could not have been able to negotiate those stairs! The owners need to be upfront about the staircase because for some people it would be an absolute showstopper.
- margaret (7/5): Good location and very clean and tidy- - Very easy to find - and parking easy The stair lights at the entry are non existent and very narrow so not great for later night returns - torch needed .
Single bed mattress very soft and needs replacing
- Marco (6/5): - Das Treppenhaus!
- Corey (10/5): Location, communication from owner and the value for money is amazing. - Location, communication from owner, price and facilities. Be prepared for some stairs but it's well worth it.
- Michael (10/5): Great location great value. Would stay here again - Everything was clean and as the pictures show. There was everything needed to make our stay more than comfortable. Great location too for the purpose of our visit which was visiting the distilleries. Everything was great.
- Timothy (8/5): Nice flat immediately by Springbank distillery. Great short stay. - Very nice location in town. 3 flights of steps.
- Andrew (10/5): We all enjoyed are stay here - No Breakfast . The location very central All was ok
- John (10/5): Lovely short break in Campbeltown - Super apartment, great location, and really good communication from owner before the trip. Would highly recommend. Location, facilities within the apartment.
- Kathryn (9/5): Short stay in Campbeltown - The apartment is very centrally located, walking distance to everything. Very clean and spacious. Everything you need for your stay. Parking is outside on the street. Our car was parked for 2 nights with no issues. We arrived late at night and the entrance to the property is very poorly lit. Not sure if there is supposed to be a sensor light at the main communal door but if there is, it didn't work. Be also careful, the steps up to the apartment are steep & spiral.
- Phil (9/5): Close to Springbank so ideal for whisky pilgrims - Great location and views over Springbank Distillery and out to sea.
Big rooms and all clean and tidy Obviously being on the top floor means you have 3 flights of stairs but that's what you need for the views!
- Bella (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (8/5): Nice - Location, flat was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable. The close leading to the front door was unlit and very dark, even in daytime. Felt rather unsafe.
- Rasul (9/5): Superb -
- Bjørn-tore (7/5): Good - Perfect location for distillery and restaurant visits. No problem to sleep as apartment surrondings where quiet. Plenty of space and comfy beds. Awkward to shower, as you had to pull a string close to the bathroom door in order to release water from shower head. No heat adjustment possibilities in the flat so constantly 14 degrees celcius in all rooms brrr! I think an instruction board/brochure would be very helpfull.
- Jacqueline (8/5): Union street - We didn't actually stay at campletown loch as a mix up meant the property wasn't cleaned before our stay. However the owner was brilliant,he let us stay at 11 union street instead which was lovely. The stairs leading to Campbeltown loch are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paulina (7/5): Good value and size - The flat is in a central location, close to shops and a petrol station. It's quite spacious, the kitchen is fairly well equipped. The staff were responsive to communication. There is free onstreet parking. The flat is on the top floor, 3 flights of stairs which would have been fine if it wasn't for the staircase which was very dark (the lights only come on higher up).
- Orrin (10/5): Stayed for a few nights for the malts festival. Location couldn't have been better and perfect for a few nights. - Stayed for a few nights for the malts festival. Location couldn't have been better and perfect for a few nights.
- Gavin (9/5): Superb - The flat was central, clean and had everything we needed. Wasn't sure how to adjust heating as was a bit chilly but weren't in the flat long so not a big issue
- Jaap (4/5): Disappointing -
- Dawn (8/5): Very good - The flat was in an ideal location, central for everything. The stairs would be an issue for elderly and disabled.
- Craig (9/5): Big well located flat for a boys whisky trip. - Location is great for the distilleries and for exploring town. Parking round the back a bonus. Flat is plenty big enough with 3 decent sized bedrooms and big kitchen. Excellent value for money. Stairwell is very dark if coming in at night. A bigger couch or a big footstool thing for sitting on wouldn't go a miss but really can't complain.
- Roger (8/5): Very good - Large apartment in a central location Access via three flights of stairs, first flight unlit, very dark in the evenings
- Lisa (5/5): Very disappointed - On the whole a nice large tidy apartment in a central location. Main bed was comfortable. But it was let down by my comments below. Do not book this apartment if stairs are a problem. 3 flights of stairs in a very dark stairwell. Torch required for bottom flight. Very shabby communal entrance and stairwell. The settees are extremely uncomfortable in that you can’t sit in them long. No welcome pack for instructions on heating, wi fi connection, rubbish, emergency numbers, info on the area etc. Had to contact the letting agents on arrival to sort out instructions plus curtain not hung and left on the floor, shower head rail unattached, nasty stain of damp in twin bedroom ceiling, TV not able to show live TV. Agents responded very quickly and got most of my concerns addressed during the week we were there. Also cheap cutlery and crockery. Real shame the owner didn’t spend a bit more money when doing the refurbishment on the settees and kitchen equipment.
- Duncan (8/5): Very good -
- Cathy (7/5): Would not stay here again. - Apartment clean and roomy We were not informed about the difficult and dangerous walk up dark cement 3 flights of steps. We are 3 ladies over 65 and could not even bring our suitcases up the steps. The steps were very dark and we had to use our phone flash lights to see the lower flights of stairs
- Andrea (8/5): Fantastic holiday weekend - Ideal location , clean and comfy
- Lorna (8/5): Had a lovely break meeting family - Flat was large and clean, central location Stairwell leading to flat had poor lighting lucky we had a torch in the car to guide us to the property in the evening. Main window in lounge seal must be damaged as when it rained water seeped in. Curtains in lounge not fitted one was lying on the floor and other was incorrect style for the fittings .
- Antony (7/5): very good for our needs - location, spacious, clean Shower
- Anderson (6/5): Convenient location for Campbeltown. - Clean and convenient location. Pleasant stay overall. The entrance from the alley is not appealing.
Shower curtain is unhygienic.
- Eilidh (9/5): Central location, a great spacious apartment offering lovely modern, clean accommodation with lots of amenities included - Clearly newly renovated the property was fresh and everything clean The entrance from street level wasn’t the most appealing
