Guest Reviews
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - Cosy little house, very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Beds very comfortable and good shower.
Host provided continental breakfast supplies, fruit and snacks which was very thoughtful and welcoming.
Short walk or drive to Port Willunga and Aldinga beaches. Also not far to drive to McLaren Vale and Willunga. Hubby liked having a Brewery tap room not far to walk to, and right next to a takeaway shop.
- Denise (9/5): Relaxing and a very cute little cottage close by to all ammenities. - The location was perfect. Short walk to the beach and shops. The home was very clean and tidy. Nice snacks left for us including milk, fruit juice, yoghurt, bread and fruit. Seems to be plenty of games if you have children. Little veggie garden and cute little fish pond. The street was very quiet when we went. We rode our bicycles from the Seaford train station. So for bike riders the cottage is close by the shared paths. I liked everything about the cottage, however there is a street light opposite the house that obviously isn’t an amber light and it was quite bright. The light did shine through the side gaps of the blinds at night in the bedrooms. Not the cottage’s fault. Apart from that I did enjoy my stay.
- Courtney (10/5): Exceptional - lovely home, breakfast items were an unexpected bonus, very comfortable and cosy stay!
- Wayne (10/5): A fantastic beachside stay with a lovely garden to relax in as well - The location of Stirling location was great. We enjoyed being able to walk along the beach and have a coffee on the way back. Also close to lots of beautiful wineries. We had a great stay. Gem and Waz also provided breakfast provisions which were very appreciated and the box of chocolates was lovely too!! Nothing, everything was great
- Rachel (10/5): Comfortable, relaxing, convienient - It was exactly what we needed with a little toddler. The rooms and beds were comfortable, the backyard was beautiful and the little extras made it so easy and comfortable. Thank you so much -
- Warren (9/5): great value - every detail was attended to with no fuss..highly recommend
- Rebecca (10/5): Absolutely amazing - They were both very nice Nothing
- Alizée (10/5): Lovely, comfortable, Safe, easy access. Loved it 👍 - Fridge/pantry was stocked up with breakfast items like bread/yoghurt/milk/energy bars/juice/butter and jam etc.... way more than most places.
All nicely decorated with Australian wildlife theme throughout. The backyard is massive and enclosed so it’s perfect to let the children go wild and free. Everything inside is comfortable. The hosts put a lot of efforts and love into this accommodation. They are also very prompt to respond with any questions we had. Their welcome folder is very thorough with a lot of useful info on the region and available activities. It was very helpful. They also have a beach pass for the car for the guest to use; which is pretty awesome as driving on the beach at Aldinga is an iconic thing to do. We are very happy with Stirling cottage. We would highly recommend it and we would stay again. Thank you 😁👍
- Anthony (9/5): Superb - Very comfy beds and the extra food supplied was lovely. The fresh flowers were beautiful and left a scent all weekend in the cottage.
- Susanne (9/5): Beautiful holiday home with all you need! Gem and Waz were great to communicate with. - Gem and Waz's holiday home is an absolute gem! This charming retreat is immaculately clean, boasting a spacious backyard perfect for relaxation. The fridge and home are thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need. But what truly sets this place apart is Gem and Waz's exceptional hospitality - they go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Highly recommended! We'd love to return and experience their wonderful hospitality again. 😀 No wifi yet.
- Alison (10/5): Beach stay - Wonderful place in a great location. The house was perfect, clean, inviting, and comfortable. Wonderful garden and outside deck. The owners were lovely, with great communication and very accommodating. Extra touches were very much appreciated. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend 👌 TV channels we're limited, so maybe take a few DVDs
- Evans (10/5): Exceptional -

- Linda (9/5): Super happy with this little cottage for a family weekend. Everything we needed. Great hosts. - Super clean, comfortable beds, well equipped, easy distance to beach and wine farms, good breakfast provisions and treats. Lovely backyard to relax. Nothing
- Bailey (10/5): Excellent stay with a really easy and straight forward check out. - It was a gorgeous property tucked away in a very private corner. All of it was very modern and you can tell the owners put a lot of thought into how it was designed.
- Bianca (10/5): Cannot fault this place! - Absolutely beautiful place! The hosts really have gone above and beyond to make sure you are well stocked and comfortable.
- Kylie (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful home that was perfect for a relaxing weekend. The owners obviously take a lot of pride in how they present the home and treat their guests - from treats in the fridge to fresh flowers - you feel very welcome. Only stayed 2 nights - would have loved to spend more time relaxing on the back deck and enjoying the backyard, which was simply gorgeous.
- Freya (9/5): Superb -

- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vijaykumar (10/5): very nice set up ,comfortable and really enjoyed the outdoor area. - nice location close to the beach and supermarkets, easy to get around .
- Clissitt (9/5): Excellent accommodation and location. Hope to spend more time there. - The breakfast provisions were more than adequate, and a good variety We were impressed with everything that was provided, fruit basket, chocolates, biscuits and much more. The finishing touches, like flowers on the dining table and plenty of games for every age was a plus. Great outdoor setting, garden and BBQ. The only thing we can fault, steel tongs for the BBQ. plastic ones on a hot plate don’t work well. Maybe a small dishwasher may be handy if more than 2 people book the accommodation.
- Craig (9/5): Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or a base for exploring the local area, Stirling Cottage is the perfect ch - Gem and Waz Stirling Cottage is a credit to you both 😊
Perfectly presented property with a comforting beautiful feel the moment you walk in the door. Fantastic back of house area with a more than ample accommodating deck and yard. The fire pit is a great addition. Loved the succulents and the herb garden. The sounds of the Australian Magpies are just a gorgeous way to start and end a perfect getaway/holiday location. Some cooking utensils need to be replaced as they fall apart or are unable to be used properly. In particular the larger tongs and the silicone spatula.
I personally loved the fact there was no wifi (but I’m a GEN X) 😂but in saying that I was in the minority. With the modern society and trends there is an unspoken expectation that like flicking on a light switch and light being provided so shall wifi apparently. It would enhance the potential of more family and business travellers to your cottage 😊
- Natalie (10/5): Relaxing and very accommodating. - How open and welcoming it was
- Donna (8/5): Beautiful cottage with great hosts! - The cottage is beautifully presented and hosts were very accommodationing. Had Everything that was needed to make the stay comfortable.
