Guest Reviews
- David (10/5): Perfect choice for us - Lovely, helpful host, perfect size for us to hibernate for the weekend and very well equipped. There was even a Christmas tree and decorations up for us Nothing
- Rachel (9/5): -
- George (10/5): - This cottage is a delight. We have stayed a few times now, and will always be happy to return. The bed is supremely comfortable.
- Roger (5/5): Extremely disappointing possibly the worst stay in all the time we have used Booking.com I’m varied accommodation in man - The exterior appearance on your website, coupled with the fact that it was advertised as being in Blairgowrie Externally it was very appealing, however that is where the appeal finished.
The interior was cluttered with cushions, the fridge was dirty and had not been defrosted in months, and plastic Christmas decorations cluttered the top of the washing machine making it impossible to use the machine.
There were no instructions available for the various facilities eg washing machine, microwave oven and heating, therefore we spent 5 days without heating.
In all - a very unwelcome beginning.
We also were extremely disappointed with the false advertising stating that the property was in Blairgowrie which is 5 miles away. The property is in fact in Coupar Angus which is only 500 yards away. Whilst it may be in the vicinity of Blairgowrie, in fact this is deceitful advertising.
- Nigel (10/5): High standard of care, good communication from owners.. very nice and comfortable place to stay. - Way well presented and tidy place. Everything you need and more.
Lovely gardens, Helen communicated well and nothing was too much trouble.
Very comfortable place to stay.
- william (10/5): - The location just at the edge town was so peaceful and quiet. The accommodation was well equipped and so clean. Great shower, good WI FI, huge comfortable bed. Good parking on site. Will certainly be back. First class. Our stay was to short. Will stay longer next time. It was like being back to nature with all the birds and deer in the large grounds.
- Sheila (9/5): Short couple break - Lovely house. Very clean and everything supplied that you could want. Loved the garden with the trees and wildlife. Helen was a very helpful host. Next to a road but not too busy that it was a problem.
- Georgie (10/5): Exceptional - Helen the owner was very welcoming and lovely. The cottage is gorgeous and there was a secured area to keep our motorcycles. Inside was just as gorgeous as the outside. Absolutely loved the bed and the bath. Definitely will be back. Nothing at all
- Sandra (9/5): Great place to visit, host really responsive to any requests. - Peaceful location, very clean Parking is a little tight if you have a large vehicle.
- Mo (9/5): Superb - Beautiful interiors, extremely high quality furnishings, extremely large bed and stunning garden.
Host was amazingly attentive.
- Roselynn (10/5): Beautiful Accommodation - The photos don't do the property justice. It is extremely well decorated and maintained. All furnishings, linen, crockery, and electrical appliances are very good quality. The lodge is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. N/A
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely little Lodge. Well equipped for our stay. Nice welcome from the owners.
- John (10/5): Beautiful place - it was cosy, clean and had everything you need. The gardens were beautiful and the owner was on call for any issues. Would highly recommend to any couples or families. The cottage is quite dark would recommend open g up the windows to let the natural light in. That was its only fault.
- Jessica (9/5): Superb - Lovely place. Bed was super comfy, well kitted out and Helen was extremely friendly and welcoming. Fabulous. Only slight downside was, like others have mentioned, its right next to a busy road so traffic noise does detract a bit from fully enjoying the beautiful garden. Not disruptive or noticeable when inside however.
- Alaric (10/5): Exceptionally Lovely - Everything was great really nice stay had absolutely everything needed and the lady that runs the place was all to happy to help with anything needed with local recommendations for food and leisure on hand N/a
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): Lovely place - I cannot remember a more comfortable bed. The kitchen is well equipped. For us it was perfect. Those on holiday might find the road a little busy but the double glazing is good and the garden peaceful. Beautifully done.
- Keir (10/5): Beautiful cosy little lodge - Beautiful, cosy, comfortable little lodge with great facilities, amazing back garden and a very helpful host, will definitely book again Nothing to report, amazing lodge
- George (8/5): Peaceful and comfortable stay with no problems. I'd happily return - The Princeland Lodge is a lovely little cottage on the edge of town. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever encountered. Helen was a friendly and informative host who was keen that we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well equipped with most utensils for cooking, and crockery/cutlery for 3 people. It *can* get a little noisy with traffic, but this is to be expected given its location, and it's only really noticeable in the lounge area.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Myself and my husband loved the lodge ,could not fault anything .very clean ,cozy ,has everything you will need and more for your stay.lovely scenery and surrounding grounds.warm welcome from the host ,we will definitely be back . Nothing could not fault a thing.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leah_0 (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (10/5): An excellent property - The host was very helpful and accommodating.
Our stay in the lodge was lovely, we'd definitely visit again.
- Liz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katrina (8/5): Comfortable accommodation in a pretty setting. - The accommodation is on the edge of the town so has a rural feel. There is wild life on the property, in the wooded area and there is lots of birds. The noise of the traffic on the main road right next to the property.
- Sunflower1 (9/5): Super, high quality, comfortable accommodation - Bed was super comfy and Lodge was clean and well kitted out overall. Owner was lovely and helpful and quick to respond to messages. Plug for bath missing but kitchen plug fitted so no problem. Owner provided this temporary solution.
Situated next to a busy road but this didn't put us off and we would highly recommend.
- Ronald (7/5): Good -
- Lindsey (10/5): Exceptional - Super clean, huge comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen (even tupperware which was a godsend!).
Helen was really helpful and friendly. Would have liked a bathroom bin but this did not take away from the great accommodation!
- Jaz (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely stay, beautiful garden and peaceful
- Milo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paola (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Great stay with lovely lodge. We were there 20 days due to work being carried out on on our own place and it was a real - Everything. The pictures do not do the lodge justice. Lovely property, gardens & host. The facilities, internet & shower we’re 10/10 which is unusual for this type of property.
Locally there are several shops for your groceries, a couple of bars, a fish and chip shop and a really nice BYOB Indian restaurant where we got to take our own wine/beer.
The location allows easy public transport to Dundee, Perth, Blairgowrie and other areasand Dunkeld and other places are only a short drive away. Nothing.
- Anonymous (9/5): Great location for a weekend in the Cairngorms - Nicely furnished.Clean and very well maintained.
Handy for local facilities
- James (9/5): Lovely cottage, very comfortable, great gardens / grounds. - Wonderful place, decoration is superb. Extremely comfortable. Nothing! There’s nothing to add.
- William (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful Lodge House set in a lovely location. Owners were very friendly and helpful.
Gardens were stunning!
Excellent Wifi and Facilities. Keybox entry would be easier
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing property, very friendly. Clean and tidy. Great location 5* review from me. Thank you Helen
- Jac (10/5): Excellent you must stay here - The lodge was beautiful and would reccomend highly Bus stop outside lodge to Dundee direct to Edinburgh. Made to feel very welcome Thanks Loved everything
- Victoria (10/5): Lovely gatehouse. Clean, comfortable and host very helpful. - Lovely property - host also very friendly. The location of the property made it a bit tricky to exit but luckily there was not much traffic.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - The surroundings
- Paul (10/5): Enjoyed a great mini break in this beautiful lodge. - Beautiful lodge in fabulous surroundings. Host Helen was very friendly and welcoming. The lodge has everything you need for the perfect staycation, well equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom with fab shower, giant comfy bed and a gorgeous garden. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
- Douglas (10/5): lovely ....just what we needed - Great hideaway location....would go back nothing to do with the property but there was a very noisy manhole cover on the trunk road outside ....took me a while to work out what the metalic clunking noise was
- Anonymous (10/5): highly recommend! - very central for touring in the area. faculties were excellent and we had everything we needed in the property.
- Frank (4/5): Disappointing -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Garden was stunning and saw the sun all day. Estate gardens are beautiful as well. Got a bit of peace and the town is lovely too
- Richard (10/5): Quirky heaven - Everything was better than I was expecting my only problem was I only stayed for one night next time I'll stay for longer Have no negative comments
- Fraser (10/5): Exceptional - Great, cosy little cottage.
- Tamzin (10/5): Beautiful lodge - The lodge is very comfortable. The bed is very very comfy. Shame we were just up for a night. Very beautiful. Nothing
