Guest Reviews
- Kay (10/5): Lovely long weekend break - Beautifully decorated and clean cottage with everything we could possibly need . Enjoyed looking at some of the books and quirky decorations . Nothing to dislike at all
- Ali (10/5): Perfect - The cottage was spotless, quirky and smelt fabulous Nothing to improve on
- James (10/5): Luxury and comfort rolled into one! -
- Sue (10/5): Warm, comfortable and lovely ☺️ - Very pretty and comfortable with everything you need for a stay. There was nothing I disliked. Maybe just one small aspect for improvement - the shower room floor gets very wet, perhaps something could be done to make this less so?
- JONATHAN (10/5): -
- Jeremy (10/5): -
- Dane (10/5): - Beatrice Cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the many sights Richmond has to offer. The cottage itself is kept to a very high standard and contained everything we needed for our stay, the owners had left out a lovely welcome package which made settling in an awful lot easier for us!
- Kevin (10/5): Excellent stay, may well come again! - Lovely cottage, beautifully decorated.
Great facilities.
Off-road parking.
Good location. Bedrooms let a lot of light in, so would have been nice for some thicker blackout curtains or some blinds.
- Kelly (10/5): -
- Wendy (10/5): Gorgeous Cottage - Everything, it was beautifully decorated throughout. Spotlessly clean, the hosts left a lovely welcome pack and gave us loads of useful information. It was 10 minutes walk from centre of Richmond and was so warm and cosy. Couldn't really find fault with anything
- gillian (10/5): Most enjoyable - Beautiful comfy cottage in excellent location. Loved the little welcome pack on arrival
- Nick (10/5): A warm and cosy property , ideal for a couple or small group of friends. - Very good and friendly communication ( instructions for the property)from the owners in advance of our stay. Nothing, it was amazing.
- Jane (9/5): A luxurious stay in a beautifully decorated cottage. Perfect location, warm and homely. - The decor was beautiful. A pleasure to stay in such a lovely cottage. The owners provided everything you could possibly need to help your stay go smoothly. It was’t the fact that we disliked it, but possibly that we’re not used to a wet room. The water, following each shower, seemed to get everywhere and we spent the next 10 minutes mopping up the floor so we had a dry area to stand in front of the mirror.
- Amanda (10/5): Perfect cosy cottage - Beautiful little cottage, everything was immaculate & lots of information was given to help your stay run smoothly. N/A
- Amy (10/5): Excellent stay! - The cottage is absolutely beautiful, the photos really don’t do it justice. We had everything we needed for a super comfortable stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our little boy loved the colour changing light, it was the main entertainment throughout our stay 😂 We’ll definitely return, thank you so much!
- Sally (9/5): Lovely cottage stay - Lovely cosy cottage, extremely well equipped, great location for exploring the Northern Dales and handy for Richmond. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed with some nice little touches including the welcome basket and guidebooks. We would definitely go back. Only minor comments- the metal bed frames are very squeaky! It could do with a bigger/more comfortable dining area in the kitchen. It doesn't mention in the description that the main bathroom is downstairs (but there is an upstairs toilet).
- Helen (10/5): -
- John (10/5): - Everything the cottage was amazing
- James (10/5): Beautiful cottage that provided a calm, relaxing base for a family weekend in Notth Yorkshire. Close enough to walk to R - Well located, beautifully presented, clean and everything you could want for the stay was there. The owners had thought about pretty much everything!! Nothing to add to this list.
- Vera (10/5): Bezauberndes Cottage! Absolut empfehlenswert!
- Peter (9/5): Excellent Cottage - Excellent cottage, well equipped, good location, good communication from host. Will stay again next year. All was good
- Bess (9/5): Great stay, cosy and well located - Good location being only a 10min walk up to the marketplace There was a big step between the kitchen and the rear hallway (Im only short!)
- Michael (10/5): An excellent venue and very very well placed for the town and surrounding area - Lovely cottage; very well equipped; excellent location; excellent welcome details and complimentary supplies. Everything perfect.
- Stephen (9/5): Great cottage in a lovely town. - Lovely cottage with off road parking. Very clean inside and nice welcome basket. It did get cold at times and thermostat had low battery therefore heating only came on for sa short time before thermostat re set.
- Aaron (10/5): - Location, amenities, welcome pack, shower Bit of a mission to find all keys.
- Mary (6/5): Not suoitable for elderly - Downstairs bathroom
- Bethel (10/5): Property and our stay in Richmond exceeded our expectations. Wonderful!!! - Keys were in a lock box but information email was sent prior to our arrival and we were able to access the property with ease. The property is just the most beautiful holiday home, decor was so well thought through to reflect the age of the house but so new and fresh. There is a wee well designed private outside area with seating, we had breakfast outside on both mornings. It would be hard for anyone to find fault with Beatrice Cottage. So much to do in Richmond plenty of wee shops, restaurants and walks. Loved our stay!!! Everything about this property is perfect
- Chris (10/5): Wonderful, it made our three day break so enjoyable - So pleased we stayed here. The cottage has been renovated very well, everything is of a very high standard. We especially liked the soft furnishings and decorations throughout the house, with the summerhouse a big favourite. Finding the cottage was easy as were all the instructions and information Nigel sent us. Well done and we will be staying again. Thanks Not a criticism, but I still prefer a shower with a door !!! (I`m sure it`s an age thing)
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dave (10/5): Exceptional - Easy to find, comfortable, close to shops and town, but still quiet. Nothing
- Richwaller (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (9/5): Well equipped kitchen enabling self catering an easy option. Nice patio to get morning sun and have a coffe. Good locati - Great location for the dales and NYM well equipped and good instruction for access
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): Superb! - A beautiful cottage, tastefully appointed and immaculately clean. Nigel was a very responsive host and everything was exactly as described - only better! Good parking, comfortable bed, excellent shower and enjoyable outdoor space in beautiful walking country - bliss! Nothing, although I was happy to abdicate the slightly complex key arrangements to my better half (he didn't seem phased!).
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (10/5): holiday. - Everything. This property is just amazing. Comfy beds. The decor. The outside space & Summer Room were fabulous. Has everything you need for a stay in Richmond. Nothing
- Jane (9/5): A very comfortable stay - This lovely cottage has been beautifully renovated and decorated. The hosts gave us plenty of information beforehand and were easily contactable during our stay. The kitchen was well equipped with all that we could possibly need, including a welcome hamper - a very nice touch. Toiletries were provided in the bathrooms. Everything was spotlessly clean. Wifi was good and heating was available when the temperature dropped. A very sunny courtyard area was a bonus and, although we didn't use it, the summerhouse looked very cosy. We enjoyed our very comfortable stay and would happily recommend. There were quite a lot of reed diffusers throughout the house which I had to move because I found the fragrances overwhelming.
- Maria (10/5): Fantastic stay at Beatrice Cottage! - The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed for a holiday. Excellent location for exploring Yorkshire. This is my second visit and I’m sure I will visit again.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was absolutely brilliant! we loved our stay. Beds were comfy, wet room was brilliant. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely hope to book again when we next visit the area
- Kara (9/5): Superb - Lovely place, so beautifully decorated. Nice location, comfortable beds & lovely summer house. Would definitely recommend
- Donna (10/5): Beautiful cottage - So clean and nice smelling
Location good, short walk up into town
Bedding so crisp and fresh, beds very comfortable. Suppose it's the time of the year, but even with the central heating on, we were quite cold. Otherwise, there are definitely no dislikes
- Debra (10/5): Beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean and everything you could need - It was perfect, the cottage is absolutely beautiful. We were blown away by the stunning decor, the finishing touches and the thoughtful extras. We loved every second and really didn’t want to leave. The weather was amazing too, we couldn’t fault anything the whole weekend. Just wonderful, thank you!
- Lauren (10/5): Cosy, Quaint & Beautifully Decorated Cottage in a warm, friendly stunning Yorkshire Town. - Beautiful Cottage with gorgeous decor and everything you could need. The owners have gone above & beyond with little details all around the cottage, to make it feel really luxurious whilst keeping the cottage feel and home from home living. The Refurbishment of the cottage is lovely and theyve done a brilliant job. Comfortable and warm this time of year and easy access to property with brilliant access for a pram into town. Off road parking which is a bonus. Can't wait to come back in the summer to use the summerhouse. Everything was clean & tidy and kept really well. Comfortable sofa & beds. It was so lovely going for an early walk into town for a coffee or breakfast which takes less than 15minutes on foot, then a walk round the castle and down to the river. Absolutely stunning weekend and we loved our little getaway. Only thing I didn't love was the light in the living room which I kept hitting my head on which was hard metal and pointy however we are both tall and that really is a minor dislike and didn't effect our stay at all.
- Lee (10/5): Relaxing - Lovely and cosy cottage
- Layton (10/5): Very well decorated cottage. Very comfy and roomy. 10/10 - Very roomy. Comfy. Decor excellent N/A
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (9/5): Lovely cottage and location - Breakfast n/a;
All was good Nothing
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was excellent, comfortable, clean and relaxing.
- Maria (10/5): Excellent! Would visit again - Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. All the amenities needed for our trip. Great location and comfortable.
- Elizabeth (10/5): An enjoyable stay in a fabuous cottage. - the cottage was lovely . The car parking was excellent and the outdoor summer house and decking area were super. We appreciated the welcome pack The seating wasn't very comforable.
- Alastair (9/5): Gorgeous cottage, fantastic location, would stay again - The Cottage is beautifully decorated, stylish and in keeping with the location, building design, it uses space unbelievably well, very clean and the welcome basket is a nice touch too and only a 10min walk into Richmond The bed was a little noisy, creaky when you get in and out of it, which is fine most of the time apart from when you're trying to sleep
- Carrie (10/5): Loved our stay. - Loved the decor and use of space. Had everything in it we needed. Lovely attention to detail. Perfect for our time in Richmond. Garden area was lovely.
We were about a 15min walk from the town centre. Perfect for us we walked in and out of town not challenging at all.
There is a bus stop right outside the cottage if you would struggle with walking. That we had to leave.
- Donna (10/5): Everything we needed in one great cottage. - The cottage had everything we needed for our long weekend. The welcome Hamper was lovely. Detailed access was as given. Location to town centre around a 10 minute walk. Was perfect. I can't say there was anything we would have asked for better.
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent accommodation. Very high specification & great location. - Excellent facilities. Beautifully decorated. Exceptionally clean & fresh. Comfy bed. Only 15 minutes walk from town centre. Quiet at night. Easy off road parking. Bonus of external garden room but did not use due to length of stay & weather. Lovely touch with welcome basket. Only mini niggles could be lack of a small shelf in the shower area to place items required for shower & an easier way of swicthing off bedside lights than reaching behind bed for mains switch.
