Alison (7/5): - The hotel is well located a 10min walk from Kyoto Station and right opposite the Higashi Hongan-ji Temple. It is in a quiet residential road, but close enough to everything. The staff were not super helpful and the manager of the property wouldn't even talk to us! We had booked a traditional style Japanese room, but my travel partern had hurt her back and on arrival we found that the futons were thin and asked if we were able to change rooms to a western style room. This request was accomodated which we were very thankful for. The bathrooms were not great, super small and no room to place toiletries. Overall the hotel felt a little dark and dingy, and was not giving us the feelings we wanted on our holiday so we decided to move hotels.

La camera e' spaziosa e con tutti i servizi, anche un Kimono per dormire e farti le foto all'ingresso. La colazione sia occidentale che giapponese e' buonissima. Noi le abbiamo provate entrambe. Non siamo riuscite a provare l'Onsen, ma cmq forse piccolino per il prezzo

They allowed to drop our luggage earlier before check in and collect our luggage after check out(until 9 PM) even tough they have very limited space. After check in, the staff kindly showed us the facility and the room, it was very nice. I really enjoyed their hospitality. Nothing. Everything was nice.

I wish there was a traditional tea in the room but I suppose matcha is typical in Japan. We had an exceptionally loud flushing toilet. Not sure about the other rooms but ours would wake the dead.

Aljon (9/5): Great Kyoto Location and staff - It’s a 15 min walk to Kyoto station, and right next to a lot of restaurants and a castle. It’s a great choice for those who want to be in central Kyoto. The rooms are on the older end but are very clean. My main issue is that I don’t like firm/floor-based bedding, but this is common in Ryokan-style hotels, so it’s expected. Air conditioner was effective, but smelled a little funky in my opinion. Loved the bidet! The shower/baths are my favorite, it’s basically a water-tight room with a bath and mirror and everything. I also reserved the downstairs private bath one night, which is a larger, stone tile/wood version of the normal one. The staff are very friendly and speak English well enough to understand the foreign guests. They also appreciate if you try to speak some Japanese too. The bedding is not for me. The air conditioner had an odd musty smell to it. The room is fairly small (compared to American/Western standards).

Evangelia (10/5): Amazing Ryokan - It was an excellent experience of a Japanese Ryokan. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The private bath was a really nice as well (needs booking ahead). They even gave us a small gift when we checked out. There isn't anything I didn't like.

Marwan (9/5): - Lovely Ryokan that offered a great authentic experience. The staff were really nice and helpful. We loved the Kimono and the photo booth area as well and the kids enjoyed it very much! Definitely would recommend it to friends Unfortunately one of the rooms had a couple of spiders in them but after searching it, it seems to be not an uncommon thing given the old build and design of any ryokan and it can happen but these are usually domiciliary harmless spiders. Nevertheless, the staff were helpful and offered to change the room and/or refund that room.

Ray (10/5): This is first ryokan experience and we liked it. - It’s a ryokan, traditional Japanese inn. This is nit picking, I think the towels needs updating, it’s on the thin side. The Tv was a monitor.
valentina (9/5): Ottimo Ryokan - Bellissimo Ryokan, vicino alla stazione di Kyoto (700mt). Personale attento anche se un pò lento nella gestione de check in. Stanze in stile giapponese con colazione tipica a richiesta (altrimenti contintale). Nei dintorni ci sono molto localini / ristoranti dove cenare. Un pò di lentezza nel check in (ma eravamo anche 16 persone)

Federica (9/5): Il futon migliore di kyoto - Caratteristico ryokan con futon (direi il più comodo tra quelli provati!) e yukata e the con biscottino di cortesia :) Servizio di lavanderia a gettoni disponibile, ma bisogna fare un po’ di giri di asciugatrice perché sia efficace! Ogni giorno, anche se non veniva richiesta la pulizia della stanza, venivano comunque lasciate delle bottigliette d’acqua appese alla porta Staff molto gentile e disponibile Presente anche possibilità di prenotare il bagno caldo in vasca privata! Consigliato!

Iimura (8/5): reasonalで朝食もおいしかったです。 - 朝食がおいしかったです。　スタッフの方の対応もよかったです。共用バスでしたが、清潔でよかったです。朝散策にでましたが、東本願寺areaは旅館街だったのですね。そういう発見もあり泊まってよかったです。 302を利用いたしましたが、においが気になりました（排管のようなにおいかな、若干不快感ある感じ）
Athanasios (6/5): Good, but with a bad experience - Very friendly staff and nice simple ryokan. Onsen was small, for one person, two couldn't fit easily. While everything was good, we had 1 room key for our room with my wife. So, when she went downstairs to smoke, we left the door unlocked so she could enter without bothering me when she is done. Surprisingly enough, a room cleaner opened the door without knocking afterwards. He immediately said sorry and left. However, I find it extremely disappointing and unprofessional that someone barged in our room without knocking first.
Patrick (8/5): Very nice stay with a clean and central situated ryokan - Very well situated, friendly staff and very clean. Guest shall have time slots for breakfast to avoid waiting times.

Melissa (10/5): Lovely traditional ryokan near Kyoto station! - Awesome traditional style ryokan in a really convenient location close to Kyoto station. Staff were so friendly. Guest get a free sake flight upon check in at the hotel bar from 3-9pm. It was such a nice experience to be in a yukata and enjoy a traditional Japanese breakfast in the morning. I wish the private Onsen available in the hotel was free to guests but you have to pay 1200yen for 1 hr
