Brook (9/5): Peaceful escape - The location is amazing. Right on the bank of Shag Lake. Morning coffee view can't be beat! Close enough to Gwinn for a quick grocery trip. Close enough to Marquette for all the city pleasures or mountain hikes inbetween. Pet friendly! The shower was a bit tricky and there were limited utensils in the kitchen, but we made due.
Todd (8/5): It was nice. - Location was great. Lake is gorgeous. Manager was responsive. It was not clear that there was a pet fee. I even asked up front. Then I was asked to leave the pet fee on the table right before checking out. I was displeased just because I asked explicitly about it. If there's a fee, let people know up front.

Patricia (10/5): Great little get away in the UP. - I was looking for a quiet get away and this was remote and quiet. the staff was super friendly, but very unobtrusive. I felt I could get whatever I might need if I asked but otherwise was left on NY own, which is exactly what I wanted. we ventured out during the day and had fires and tv time in the evenings. they provided so many brochures of things to do, I wish we had taken more advantage of them.
Duarte (7/5): Cute, comfy, quaint, nothing fancy - The location was very private. It's private property with 5 cabins and the owners' home on the property. The 5th cabin we stayed in has it's own outdoor hot tub which was super nice. The host was kind and helpful and I feel for the price everything was reasonable. We also really appreciated it being dog friendly. Few complaints would be the driveway in to the resort from the road is extremely rough. Huge pot holes that really should be filled in. There were a few broken things around the cabin and quirks but nothing that severely affected our stay.
Kaleigh (4/5): Perfect lake retreat. - The location was beautiful and perfect for our weekend getaway. The beds were comfortable and the amenities made it memorable for our kids. Loved being able to make memories here on the lake. The water in the cabin had an odor from the faucet and the shower. Some of the dishes were dirty from previous guests. We had fresh water with us and used disposable cups so this honestly wasn't a big downer.

Kaylee (1/5): All in all if I would have known about everything that went down this week, we would have booked elsewhere. And to charg - The only good thing was the cabin was clean. The bed was clean that was a plus. No plowing of the snow. Owners charged us an additional fee as soon as we got there because of a “cleaning fee” that should have been listed in the initial booking. The gas furnace did not work. It wreaked of LP gas. when we walked into the cabin. The water quit working the night before we left so we couldn’t use anything that required water. No CO2 detectors which is scary because of the LP leak. Hot tub was too dirty to use.

Nolan (10/5): Excellent place to stay. - Owner/Manager was polite when he informed me I was parked in the long location. Everything was clean, and view was great. Nothing with the cabin was bad. Google takes you past the drive so it took a couple tries to find the drive.
