• Sijbesma (9/5): Lovely for getting away from it all. - Great location only a few minutes walk from the beach. A lovely little cottage. Well equipped. We had a lovely chat with the owner, who told us all about his sheep. Little lambs were born just the night before. Friendly hosts, as we have gotten used to in the Highlands and Islands. I have no complaints at all

I enjoyed the immeculate cleanliness, the tiny details in the retreat referring to the sea or farming, the cosy room, the well equipped kicthen, the very useful and detailed collection of information (from tel numbers through lists of nearby facilities to hiking tips), my hosts' obvious care about the environment and nature. I found pleasure in hiking and was fascinated by the spectacular view of the coastal scenery. Nothing.

• Alan (10/5): A true retreat from the world in stunning Lewis - From warm welcome to location to the comfort and style of the cottage the retreat is wonderful - 10 minutes from a stunning rugged beach and 3 minutes from the Borve hotel where you can get great food is looking for somewhere local . Nothing - when booking a Scottish cottage as north as Galston you are looking for the old cottage experience and should love every part of it - no complaints at all !
