Friendly and helpful owner/staff who have thought of everything including boogie boards and sun umbrellas to borrow. We had a great time and hope to return another time soon! The beach sofas are perfect for afternoon nap. The whole place could use a bit of a refresh but apparently that is planned for 2026
• Kalk (10/5): - Such a nice place with shared kitchen to use which was awesome, spacious rooms, lovely beachfront area with spacious sunbeds, little town with really everything nearby. We're picturesque place to stay. This was in one end of the town so some things were a little walk away like calmer swimming since the beach here is a more restless part but the waves were also quite fun to try tackle. (I used earplugs to sleep for the waves as I do if I stay somewhere with a bit more noise, and then it was lovely). Many of the restaurants close by and friendly staff thank you!

• Ale (10/5): Es estar en un paraiso natural - Es precioso el lugar. Limpian todos los días.
• Wolfgang (10/5): Enst - Sehr schöne, phantasievoll gestaltete Anlage, sehr entpannte Atmosphäre. Miguel war immer sehr nett und hilfsbereit und weiß einfach alles. Die Betten mit Moskitonetz waren gut, das sehr offene Bad auch (heißes Wasser gibt es allerdings nicht). Ein Safe ist im Zimmer vorhanden, ansonsten kann die zentrale offene Küche mit Kühlschränken und Herd genutzt werden. Ganz phantastisch war bei unserer Canbana Palapa die große, ganz private Terasse mitten in den Palmen über dem Strand! Frühstück kann man sich selber machen, sehr empfehlenswert ist aber auch das kleine Frühstückscafe Los Palmitos direkt auf der anderen Straßenseite. (Die Brandung ist permanent sehr laut, auch in der Nacht. Man hört es aber bald nicht mehr. Hat uns nicht gestört.)

• Dayna (9/5): Gorgeous views and direct beach access in a wonderful location. - The location was amazing--beautiful views of the beach from our unit. The beach chairs and lounges were great. The shared kitchen was really useful while still having other amenities of more of a hotel. Towels were provided, along with daily cleaning. Our unit had two beds on different levels, and the upper bed had an exceptional view. We also had a balcony and bathroom with sufficient space and decent water pressure (no hot water, but you do NOT need it, at least at the time of year we were there). We stayed with our 9 and 12 year old kids and it was nice to have the separate sleeping spaces. I would not stay in that particular unit with younger kids because the access to the upper loft area is a really steep ladder/stairs, and the railing is not a sufficient protective barrier. It was fine for us though, because our kids are old enough that we could just them how to be safe if they went up there. The host/manager is super friendly and helpful. He can help you with advice about the town and neighboring ones and also help arrange transportation. We had a bit of trouble getting out of town at the end of our trip and he was calm and helpful the whole time. It's a few minutes walk to the better beach area for kids to play in, but it's still really close and in a great location near good cafes and restaurants. We'd definitely stay there if we are ever lucky enough to get to return to San Agustinillo! Any complaints we had are far outweighed by what we liked about the place. The rooms are essentially indoor/outdoor, so it doesn't make sense to expect really spotless cleaning. We found the cleanliness satisfactory. However, the under bed still had small trash from the previous guests, so that could have been a little better. Also, even though it was open air so the impact was usually small, sometimes the amount of smoking in the common areas was a bit much.

Location is superb - at the end of the beautiful beach away from beach traffic and people/umbrellas. It;s just a tiny bit run down but we'd stay there again and love it.

The owner Miguel is always around to help out. It is close to La Mora for breakfast. If you want to eat at the hotel there is a full kitchen. The room on the main floor was very warm but the big fans worked well.

The check in was simple and the man who I assume is the owner was easy going and nice. The room had poor lighting. The fans hooked to the bottom of the beds were a bit odd. But the room wasn’t horrible. Maybe just a bit dated.

Good restaurants in the area. Nice hot shower with seashell shower head. No air-conditioning BUT they had 3 fans in our room. One that we could move around, which made us comfortable.

• Kimberley (9/5): Beautiful tropical oasis on the beach! - Our balcony was amazing with nice comfy chairs, hammock and gorgeous view. The grounds were very nice and kept tidy. I loved all the palm trees and overall feel of the place. The staff were nice and helpful. The beach right in front had red flags but you could still safely get in, submerse and bob around in the shallow surf and have fun without going out deep. The safer beach was less than five minute walk down the beach. My only complaint was that the bed was too hard for me and the pillow not great, although I requested more pillows and they were much better. This is more of an issue for light sleepers, like myself, but the fan was too loud. If you want to use the mosquito net you pretty much need to use the fan, which is well placed within the mosquito net so that it blows right on you, but it is a large fan and rather noisy. So between the sounds of the waves and the fan I really could not sleep well.

• Nicole (10/5): We'll be back - Everything - the location, the staff, the facilities, the vibe, it was all great. Little thoughtful touches made it exceptional, from the shared kitchen with free drinking water, to the placement of light switches, outlets, spigots to wash sand off your feet, etc. The whole place is very thoughtfully designed with a chill, peaceful vibe, and good upkeep. I really had to rack my brain to think of something I didn't like. If I was to be picky, the bed and pillows could be more comfortable. The bed was very firm (which will help it last longer, i know). A plush topper would be a big improvement. I was happy to see the mattress inside an encasement, which is the first time I've seen this in Mexico. As is fairly standard in Mexico in my experience, the pillows were very flat and only two were provided. Also, as is common across much of Mexico, the water pressure isn't great and this place does not have hot water. This wasn't a problem for us because it was so hot outside, a cool shower felt nice.

• William (3/5): Good location but overpriced for basic facilities - The beach location is very good, overlooking the lovely sandy beach. However the facilities are poor.No hot water, unreliable WiFi, no bar or restaurant service, unless you do it yourself. Simple can be good, but not when you are being charged as much, if not more, than other properties in equally good locations that provide far better facilities. We also had to put up with the sound of building work, with seven workers hammering and drilling just behind our cabana. There was no apology from management or any discount offered. The property looked like a building site. See comments above on the basic facilities and noise

• Carlos (10/5): We will definitely return. - It was absolutely fantastic. We were a family of four adults and a toddler and occupied Tortuga and Dolphins cabaños. Location is spectacular: Mazunte beach is a short drive away, but a great local breakfast place, La Mora, is just around the corner and another beach cafe with fast wifi and good coffee is a step away. Most importantly, many cabaños along the beach do not have trees, while we had the most romantic jungle of coconut palms and almond tropical trees at the doorsteps. Very clean, very romantic, very very very friendly. Big thank you for our five wonderful days! Waves were pretty wild but that is just how the ocean is. We still managed to have fun and the guys from cabaños filled in a little tank of water for our daughter to splash.
