• Mihaela Roxana (6/5): Basic accommodation. Won’t stay again. - This is a basic room, was happy to have found a hairdryer but no ironing machine. Also it gets completely dark so you can sleep I disturbed by the light. Very late in the night I discovered the toilet hasn’t been cleaned at all and couldn’t use it until next day when I asked the owner to send the cleaning lady to clean it. In this situation an email saying sorry is not enough. I work in tourism hospitality since 12 years and I would have made a gesture towards the guest especially when he paid for 4 nights. Wall around the mirror was also dirty. Cleaning can be improved. Big window but no view. Neighbors or guests above the room can be very noisy especially in the night. You can literally hear every step they make. Pillows are very hard and pillow cases smell very strong of detergent, had to sleep without as it was difficult to breath. Key for the external door doesn’t work well as well for the light sensor. You must be fit to take the 160 of uneven stairs a few times a day to reach the room. Also, forget about this place if you have a big luggage or a heavy little one. It’s on top of a hill.

• Yuki (7/5): 良かった！ - 旧市街の中にあるので、アクセスは良かったです。観光の途中で疲れたり、トイレがなくて困っても、一度宿に戻ることができました。 レビューを見てかなり清潔と思って予約しましたが、日本に慣れていると、ここはそうでもないと感じる。特に潔癖症の方だと、やはりホテルに泊まった方が良さそう。あと、宿に向かう階段が多すぎて、1人でスーツケースだと困ります。

• Thomas (9/5): Amazing room for a long weekend in Dubrovnik, and lovely hosts. - Hosts were very easy to communicate with, and gave us all the information beforehand (regarding the available hours to check-in, how to find the property in the old city, and which stairs to take). The room is sparkling clean and they even left some chocolates for us as it was Easter weekend, which was lovely. No notes, only good things to say about this property.
• Roxana (8/5): Small, quiet, modest, well-centered spot in the heart of Dubrovnik - The location was great, but keep in mind there are looots of stairs so if you're packing heavy suitcases, there are other optional routes you can take (other than what the hosts offers via email) to get to their place. It is absolutely necessary to have AC in those hot summer months and the property was very well equipped in that regard. The hosts do not offer much information on where you can leave your suitcases if you have an early arrival/late departure, but you can find a few luggage storage spots right outside the fortress, which seems like easy and free info that the hosts could offer to their guests :) The room is small, but well located. It depends on what needs you have when traveling. For us it was great as it was. The hosts had a neighbor welcome us and she was lovely. Booking seems to show we should've had breakfast included, but that wasn't the case in reality. The bathroom could've used some improvement on cleanliness. There's no flexibility about check-in times. If there are delays in your arrival, it might be difficult to communicate with the hosts as they're not always on.
• Kansas (8/5): Very good - Great location in old town, easy to access and quiet area. Great facilities and the bed was super comfy! Right at the top of old town, be prepared for many steps!
• James (5/5): Quiet room but lots of stairs to get to - Very lovely neighbour. Room itself is nice, clean and spacious. Location is quiet and good air con. Lots and lots of stairs that are a very steep incline that feel like they never end. If you have a suitcase stay elsewhere or use a porter service they are the near Buza Entry gate. If you want to get anywhere in the old town prepare yourself with this accommodation to be walking a lot of stairs. Host didn’t provide this information prior which would have been nice to know. Jesuit stairs (walk of shame from Game of Thrones) are the easiest steps to get up after dinner and there is a reasonably priced Konzum supermarket nearby. The Pile Gate is the easiest stairs to enter from with any luggage doing it yourself. If you do have suitcases you are fine to wheel them (you won’t get fined like google might tell you) in the old town but just need to be mindful of keeping noise down. Shower has a very small tank for hot water. Not the properties fault but just be mindful that the old town is very busy and feels very humid in summer due the walls not providing much airflow.

Easy to access and the hosts were very kind and helpful with recommendations for during my visit. I thought it was a little overpriced but it’s comparable with other places in the Old Town.

If you're traveling with no heavy suitcases, I would definitely recommend the place - thus the stairs that many people mention in their comments won't be a problem. From my perspective, it was a blessing to spend 3 days within the old town walls.

The location of the property is quite high. I am not fan of stairs because I have an ovarian cyst. It really hurts when I climb stairs of 100-150m and this may cause to burst. We hope that this information was available.

• Pascal (9/5): Nice stay in the Old Town - Nice quiet place in the old town, very close to all tourist attractions. Room is convenient with very high ceiling which is cool. The small fridge is very useful. A bit dark, but there are plenty of places to visit on a rainy day. Note the many steps up which you need to carry your luggage!

• Alejandro (10/5): Exceptional - Wowww the location is stunning! And the host is amazing and so kind (Tea :)! We got a delicious welcome drink and we felt really welcome. The room has all you need including all kinds of touristic information, towels, shower gel, shampoo, tea, coffee, water boiler and more. It was also really clean! We took a backpack cause we read the reviews before coming there are some stairs but with a backpack it's easy! Anyway there are stairs everywhere in Dubrovnik :) that also makes the place so pretty! Nothing!

• Kimberley (9/5): A lovely stay in a very comfortable room. - We were due in from a late flight and the wonderful next door neighbour (Tea) was waiting for us when we arrived with a warm reception and a cold welcome drink. The room is clean and comfortable with air con which was an absolute must in the crazy heat we experienced. Towels and some toiletries are included which is a real bonus and the room is bright and spacious. The hosts were brilliant and gave us detailed directions to the apartment once in the Old Town. There are a lot of steps up to this apartment so please bare this in mind and ensure you are in good health before booking as the steps are very steep and pretty uneven. You will need to carry your bags up these steps on arrival - I think there was approximately 160 steep steps up to the apartment.

• Anthony (4/5): Good location for Old Town ( with proviso about the steps mentioned above) - The place is fiendishly difficult to locate on first arrival- the entrance to the courtyard is opposite a small children's playground, then go through the arch and up the curved staircase. Whichever direction you are coming from you have to go up a lot of steps. Room basic but clean and comfortable, large screen TV has limited selection of local channels. The main bus station is a 40 minute walk to the west.

• Je'maine (8/5): Very good - Comfortable and clean. Lovely greeting when we arrived :) great to be located within Dubrovnik Old Town. Worth noting you will need to climb quite a few stairs to get to the apartment. We also noticed that the hot water doesn't last very long.

• Oliver (10/5): Fantastic little apartment in a great Old Town location - The apartment is within the walls of the old town, in a fantastic and picturesque location - a very short walk to all the attractions. The apartment itself was everything we needed: Comfortable and very clean. We took a large heavy suitcase with us, which wasn't suited to the narrow, cobbled streets and steep stairs of the old town - but that was more our own planning! Still loved the location, but would do a backpack next time...
• Andrew (8/5): Very good - The room had high ceilings so it felt very spacious. It also had a fridge, kettle, spoons etc, so the basic amenities for the morning. The bathroom had a good pressure shower which was nice after a long day of walking. It was tucked away at the back near the city walls, so heard minimal noise at night. There's a lot of stairs to get to the place as it's at the back on top of the hill, so not the best place if you have really heavy bags.

I especially enjoyed that our hostess had for us many different flavors of coffee to choose to start our day. exceptional The only thing I didn’t like was that the room wasn’t particularly soundproof and so,we could hear noiae from the street

The rocky beach just down the walk, ride in the city walls. Beautiful stairs and spaces to explore right at the doorstep. There was really nothing we did not like.
