• Leonnawillz.x (10/5): Perfect Place - Lovely place to stay, probably one of the nicest we have been to, having everything you need for a cosy night away. Host was great and can't do enough with plenty of knowledge about the local area. Little touches inside of the birdbox made it perfect. Lovely walks around the birdbox whilst also in walking distance of the town. Definetly a place to recommend and we will be back here soon There was not anything to dislike!
• Michael (10/5): - Phil ,was a super host very helpful ,he offered us a lift and went to the trouble of searching for my christening records from 1971 as I was christened at all saints church ,he even gave me a printed copy ,what a lovely thing to do . The bird box was fantastic, it was comfortable and had everything we needed ,we have stayed in many places but felt phil's attention to detail was amazing, we didn't want for anything, also the water milk and welsh cakes was appreciated, we will definitely be back and recommend 100%...thanks Phil.

• Dean (10/5): Perfect location and brilliant value for a short stay - All the facilities and supporting items needed for a 2 night stay; thoughtfully laid out and a comfortable stay. Some great touches upon our arrival and host was very helpful, supportive and accessible across the 2 days spent there. As expected, space available is limited but fully functional and workable base to explore the area. Nothing not to like!

• Donna (10/5): The best pod I have stayed in! I can’t wait to return. - Wow!!! From the minute we arrived Phil made us feel so welcome, nothing was to much trouble for him. Phil is a super host! The Birdbox is AMAZING! It’s spotlessly clean, the bed was so comfortable. Again Phil adds some lovely personal touches for his guests.
• Simon (9/5): Great place for a short break with someone you like being in close proximity too! 🤣 - I have a customer in Ponty and have been coming here for years for nightly stays. Ideal for me. Phil is great and goes out of his way to make my stays as smooth as possible. Clean, compact and within 10 mins walk of one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever eaten in.

He even sorted a BBQ for us for one of the nights we were there which was really appreciated. Nothing. The Birdbox was exactly what we needed, a base for our days out. It was only half an hour from the Brecon Beacons and the Botanical gardens which was perfect.

• Andrew (9/5): Warm welcome, great space, well-equipped pod in a peaceful, charming setting. - We had a wonderful stay in this unique and thoughtfully designed accommodation. From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome, greeting us personally and even giving us a tour of the beautiful church on site, which added a special touch to the experience. The pod itself was compact yet impressively well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable few nights. There was plenty of space to relax, ample parking, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. A great blend of charm, convenience, and hospitality. I am 6ft3 and broad shouldered. The shower was a little tight for me but was still useable. No other complaints.

Nature Reserve next door but not isolated. Warm and welcoming. Lovely Welsh Cakes and tea facilities.Phil was very helpful and friendly. Nice and clean with a great picture window and view.

It was really well thought out, with a subtle Welsh theme and delightful personal touches. We had a lovely welcome from Phil, who gave us information about the local area and some interesting historical facts. Easy to park. Great outside area. Walking distance to pubs, cafes and shops. Beautiful setting. Nothing, it was a lovely experience. We felt like special guests ❤️

• Peter (9/5): Really relaxing chilled out night away. - Really cleverly designed, incredible amount of facilities in such a compact space. Really nice setting, peaceful but also close to town. A couple of minor issues with some of the facilities, but messaged Phil the host and these were sorted out promptly.
• Craig (10/5): Exceptional - Great arrival process including a very enjoyable discussion of the local area. The facilities were great: clean, modern and everything one would want. The only issue is finding the accommodation, but that is more to do with relying on a postcode in satnav rather than properly reading the address. (Put the road name into your satnav)

• John (8/5): Very good - Birdbox is a quirky little place good for a couple of nights enjoyable stay. I have recommended it to a couple of people. If the grassed area, on approach from the road entrance, around the birdbox and where the tabke and chairs and lounge chairs are located.....were trimmed/mowed then the whole birdbox experience would have been just a bit more positive.
• Richard (10/5): Cosy little cabin in a great location - Lovely quiet spot, cosy cabin with good facilities. A short walk away from the town centre, including a Lidl. Lots of space to park. Really good communication from Phil and he gave us some good recommendations on where to walk in the local area. Nothing that I can think of.

The owner was a mine of information and provided books and maps for us as well as some really great personalised touches which made our stay really special. We were happy with everything.

• Keely (10/5): Exceptional - We had such a lovely stay at birdbox the room has everything you could need during the stay from a microwave/oven, plenty of utensils, a hairdryer and a fire pit to use outdoors. Phil made sure there wasn’t anything else we needed and added personal touches Including Easter eggs for Easter and maps of places he recommended to visit during the stayed!
