- Guest (9/5): Absolutely fantastic 😀 - Fantastic little cottage host was more than helpful and beautiful area Was just a bit worried with the couch bed as the arm was broken because of this we failed to use the sofa properly didn’t affect or stay by no means just worried us a little that it could of been our responsibility had we folded it down and it had broken completely
- Shane (10/5): -
- Marion (6/5): Overall fine. - Comfortable, spacious and well equipped cottage. Quiet and close to Slane and Newgrange. An iron and ironing board would have been handy.
Unfortunately the farmer next door spread some slurry which made a strong smell.

- Eon (10/5): Great property will be back again. - The area was amazing 🤩 great for family’s and it’s 15min drive to emerald park which we went too! Could not fault this place would definitely go back … big private area for kids to run about very clean and has everything for cooking meals. The views are beautiful around the property it’s like your own we piece of heaven.
- Breda (10/5): Wonderful for the family - The house was lovely and spotless, very comfortable for all the family. Loads of facilities, nice and quiet and the beds were wonderful. Also super close to Newgrange and Emerald Park.
- Laura (10/5): - Lovely little cottage, great for families. Was close to the emerald park and would definitely stay again. Nothing
- Guest (10/5): Fantastic host we had everything we needed for our family break away, looking forward to booking this property again. - Beautiful property in a nice quiet area.
So comfortable and clean.
- Tanya (6/5): Comfortable but basic - The location was great as we were attending a wedding just up the road. It was comfortable but basic. We had to ask for an iron and ironing board, the furniture in the living room had seen better days and the shower tray was cracked. We saw on other reviews that supplies had been left for the guests arrival/welcome but we did not have this so no milk for tea etc.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Liam (9/5): We would book it again and would recommend it. - N/A A second toilet would be good.
- Linda (8/5): Very good - Location was brilliant and everything we needed It was a little bit chilly when we arrived back to the house in the Friday night but mabey that was our fault mabey we should have turned on the heating
- David (9/5): Best holiday ever. - Came from Australia for 3 weeks over Christmas 2024. Carla was an excellent host - very helpful when we were making arrangements, met us at the door and provided us with full breakfast provisions as we arrived at night time (without charge :-)). The cottage is beautiful and peaceful. The location is ideal - nestled in a farm (sheep in the paddock each day) in the countryside with very easy access to the N2 for sightseeing. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Water to the sinks was very hot but not to the shower.
- Debra (10/5): A great place to stay and experience Ireland and explore. - The location was perfect for daily exploration
The cottage was roomy and cosy in the cold.
The cottage was quiet and it eas just lovely to sit and watch the sheep outside our windows. Nothing!
- Najia (8/5): Perfect Midterm Holiday - Quite , Lovely and safe We are in 2024 and the house in a remote area. If they can change the TV to most modern tech were families or couples can enjoy something together
- Malachy (8/5): Very good - A great base from which to visit lots of nearby visitor attractions in Co. Meath. Cosy, comfortable with everything you need for a short stay!
- Nataliya (10/5): welcoming cottage - very cozy warm house.
kids friendly
fabulous outside view
we ll definitely come back again 😀
will recommend to families with small kids
- Baljit (9/5): Short late summer break - Great secluded location, great facilities and a very helpful host. Perfect if you just want to get away from everything. Only slight issue was the shower was a bit on the small side.
- Joshua (9/5): Superb - Carla was so helpful and generous that she responded to text almost immediately. My wife and the kids love the place and will recommend it. We definitely come back.
- Jemima (10/5): Perfect stay - The location was perfect- 5 mins from Emerald park, 50mins from the RDS. The cottage itself was in a beautiful rural setting, surrounded by fields. The kids loved exploring and looking at the sheep.
Carla was a fantastic host- super friendly and accommodating and had thought of all the little touches- bread, milk, fruit, toiletries, washing powder etc.
Ashfield cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We loved our stay and hope to come back again. Highly recommend! Nothing
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional - We had a great stay here, 30 mins from funtasia and 30 minutes from Dublin zoo. The kids loved it. Lovely and clean, use of full kitchen was great, bbq area was great as the weather was fantastic. Would definitely recommend
- Leeona (10/5): Great place to stay 😊 - Carla is very lovely, she had milk, water, fruit, cheese, bread and jams for us during our stay. We had small kids so location is perfect, secure for kids to play outside and we were blessed with good weather. Would highly recommend staying here, so nice and definitely will be back 😊 Nothing
